In this episode of The Bitcoin Brief, Max and Q delve into the latest happenings in the world of Bitcoin and privacy. In this Bitcoin Brief, Q and Max dive into the escalating Core vs. Knots debate, sparked by leaked DMs suggesting a potential hard fork proposal from Luke Dashjr to address CSAM-related concerns via a trusted multisig and ZK proofs. We unpack why leaking private messages is a bad precedent, the slippery-slope risks of any centralised arbiter of “bad data,” and how such a scheme could fracture consensus and even create a hard fork. From there, we lay out both sides: Core's view that fees are the real spam filter and that relaxing/removing the OP_RETURN relay limit nudges non‑monetary protocols toward a less harmful data path; and Knots' view that node-level filters express sovereignty, reduce bloat, and protect network integrity. We also explore why spam is subjective, why whack‑a‑mole filtering doesn't work against out‑of‑band miner deals, and the economic incentives that may still push data into discounted witness space despite OP_RETURN becoming more permissive. They present a pragmatic take on peer‑to‑peer exchanges like Peach and RoboSats: they improve personal privacy versus centralised KYC, but they're not magic cloaks against governments or banks—use them thoughtfully, consider dedicated accounts, and prefer gift cards for day‑to‑day fiat spend. Rounding out the brief are updates: Peach adding buy‑side offers; Fulcrum v2.0 improving database reliability; Liana RC2 and Nunchuk's new Miniscript templates (including time‑locks—use with care); and the Mostro v1 mobile app for Nostr‑native P2P trading. We close with notes on Ark developments from Bull Bitcoin and a deep dive piece on Ark and Spark channel factories.IMPORTANT LINKS https://freesamourai.comhttps://p2prights.org/donate.htmlhttps://ungovernablemisfits.comVALUE FOR VALUEThanks for listening you Ungovernable Misfits, we appreciate your continued support and hope you enjoy the shows. You can support this episode using your time, talent or treasure.TIME:- create fountain clips for the show- create a meetup- help boost the signal on social mediaTALENT:- create ungovernable misfit inspired art, animation or music- design or implement some software that can make the podcast better- use whatever talents you have to make a contribution to the show!TREASURE:- BOOST IT OR STREAM SATS on the Podcasting 2.0 apps @ https://podcastapps.com- DONATE via Monero @ https://xmrchat.com/ugmf- BUY SOME STICKERS @ https://www.ungovernablemisfits.com/shop/FOUNDATIONhttps://foundation.xyz/ungovernableFoundation builds Bitcoin-centric tools that empower you to reclaim your digital sovereignty. As a sovereign computing company, Foundation is the antithesis of today's tech conglomerates. Friends, Lovers, Listeners. Happy Wednesday, Happy Hump Day and Happy Sex on the Peach Day. It's Halloween month which feels like an apt time to have a conversation about the sex scaries. A lot of word vomit from me regarding my absence from the podcast, and a deep dive into sexual anxieties. Think of this episode as part confession, part solidarity. My anxiety has completely tanked my sex drive and this is me saying, ‘Okay, if I'm going through this, I bet some of you are too.' And rather than hiding it, or adding shame on top of an already frustrating situation, let's unpack it together. Let's talk about the scenarios our brains invent, let's share the awkwardness, and let's also look at the ways we can make sex feel safe, fun, and possible again...even when anxiety is hanging around. Because I know you've all been with me through so many of these conversations, and you KNOW I never want to sit here and pretend I've got it all figured out. I don't. Right now I'm living through it with you. And if you've ever been thinking about having sex and your brain instead suddenly goes, ‘What if the world ends tomorrow?' then congratulations - You are not broken. You are not alone. You are human. And so am I. So let's get into it - Here is Horny, but Hindered. Sex On The Peach is a completely inclusive, open, judgement free zone. However you identify - both in your gender and sexuality, whatever race, age, size, ability, religion you are - everyone is welcome here, and I hope that at some point in an episode we will touch on something you can relate to and resonate with. Please like, follow, share, review and subscribe to stay in the loop of all future episodes, and you can also follow me on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube @sexonthepeachcast. Knowing all the information and having all the coolest and best gear does not means your shop will succeed. For the purpose of todays conversation let's just say all the things we assemble under the roof of out shop are just the bricks. What's the mortar that holds t all together? People! Today we get to chat all about how to focus on people to fuel the best retail experience for both staff and customers alike w/ Mike Cosentino! Mike Cosentino, CEO of Big Peach. Big Peach is one of the largest and most recognized specialty retailers in North America, with business units spanning the Specialty Running (Big Peach Running Co.) and Bicycling (Big Peach Ride + Run) retail segments. Headquartered in Atlanta, the company serves athletes and fitness enthusiasts of every level beyond its brick-and-mortar locations through a dynamic e-commerce platform (BigPeachRunningCo.com) and innovative mobile retail experience (Big Peach On-Wheels). His new book, It's Not the Bricks, It's the Mortar: Optimize Your Retail Business for Lasting Success offers a battle-tested framework for service-driven retail organizations… from a current operator. No formalities. No fluff. This is not content from an academic researcher, industry consultant or ghostwriter. This is entrepreneur Mike Cosentino sharing powerful lessons from decades of experience, while still leading his own retail enterprises. Whether accelerating growth or withstanding the unexpected, his systems favor the confident empowerment of others – – while disfavoring the constant oversight often required by most leaders. The book includes two life-altering personal events that every reader will relate to, reminding us that success in this industry can't be achieved on hustle alone. Bowser bones is a phrase Andy and Jake came up with after playing way too much Mario Tennis. One afternoon, Jake chose to play as Bowser and easily defeated Andy, who was playing as Princess Peach. He accused Jake of cheating because Bowser's character has more power than Peach. This soon became a question about the assumption that man has more bone density than women. Andy pointed out what a gross fantasy it is whenever men assert this difference. Often times this assertion comes in the form of transphobia and the pearl clutching about trans women in female sports. Is there any way to assert this biological difference without leveraging violence? Sagi was at his honest and most cancellable best. Wondering if there is some sympathy that we need to give to the anxiety caused by sexual difference; its neglect, owing to the Christian framework that constantly polices and represses it, is something that colors current perceptions of male violence and transphobia. Andy looks at Freud's famous essay "A Child is Being Beaten" to help us think about the creation of this fantasy, and the anxiety of castration. Jake extends this idea by looking at Alan Bass who asserts the need to accept difference, while simultaneously critiquing the common narratives of sexual difference as concrete fetishes. We splay ourselves open in this pod, while advocating for love as transcendence of run-of-the-mill gender narratives.

In spring I start to get impatient for those gorgeous summer fruit. It's then that I'll resort to using tinned fruit, and New Zealand peaches are some of the best you can get. Makes 20x30cm tray Ingredients 200g butter 1 cup sugar 1 egg 1 tsp vanilla 2 cups plain flour + extra 1 tbsp 2 tsp baking powder 1 can tinned NZ peaches, drained and fruit chopped 1/3 cup sour cream Method Preheat oven to 175 C. Line a Swiss roll tin. Cream the butter and sugar and then beat in the egg and vanilla. Mix in 2 cups flour and the baking powder and press all but ½ cup of the mixture into tin. Scatter the chopped peaches over the base. Add the extra tablespoon of flour to the remaining dough and mix together. Strew this over the fruit and dab teaspoons of sour cream over the top. Bake for 45 minutes or until top is golden. Leave to cool and slice either into fingers or squares. Serve warm as a dessert with whipped cream or ice cream or keep airtight in fridge and eat as a slice. LISTEN ABOVE See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Doug Simcox and Sam Swearingen wrap up an unforgettable 10 days at the 57th Festival Western de St-Tite. The crowds were record-breaking, the hospitality unmatched, and the rodeo action second to none.In this closing episode, you'll hear from newly crowned champions: Raymond Hostetler, who split first place in the saddle bronc riding finals after a gritty reride, and Austin Stewart, who captured the steer wrestling win and punched his ticket to the American Eastern Regional Qualifier in Lexington, KY. Stewart's story of “Peach,” a former barrel horse turned bulldogging Ferrari, shows just how much horsepower it takes to make it to the top.Doug and Sam also reflect on the growth of St-Tite from a ballfield in 1967 with 5,000 fans to nearly a million visitors today. We've talked about Malmö Taproom many times but did you know they have a second bar (some would say hidden) bar? Just behind Malmö Taproom is Malmo Mead and Cocktail Bar. It's a small room with lots of meads, cocktails and craft beer. We tried the cleverly titled Ask Staff IPA. This is a solid IPA that wasn't on the Taproom menu. We followed that up with a couple of meads, Tropical Blueberry and Exclusive Peach. These are part of the new trend of meads of being bright, fruity and not honey syrup. Tropical Blueberry is a meger 7% ABV while Exclusive Peach comes in at 12%. It's a fun place to check. You'll find some extra beers that aren't part of Malmö Taprooms menu. #beer #craftbeer #drinks #mead #ipa #malmotaproom

In 1994, he and fellow Studio member Lynnea Benson founded the venerable Frog & Peach Theatre Company, one of New York's most popular Shakespeare ensembles. A man of many talents, Ted sometimes found himself serving as Frog & Peach's Lead Actor; sometimes as Director, often as a Producer, and frequently, as a Composer. With a burgeoning musical career, and a great many fish to fry, Ted bid farewell to theatre to return to his first love: playing music and writing songs full time. In 2017, he joined with British rock and roll legend Ian McDonald (King Crimson, Foreigner) to form the band Honey West, releasing their debut album, "Bad Old World".

In this episode, Shilpa and Jesse commiserate about how frustrating pie crust seemed (at least until Shilpa developed her Actually Perfect Pie Crust), and why pre-cooking your fruit is the secret to tender, crispy crust and perfectly-set filling. They'll also answer listener questions and introduce Bake Clubbers to pie expert Erin Jeanne McDowell, author of The Book on Pie.Join us on Substack! You can find all the BA Bake Club recipes, including this one, here.
