Meet Kelsey and Hannah Oberbroeckling, sisters from Temple Terrace, Florida. At age 23 and 21, the Obers have a lot to say, and now they have a podcast to say it. Here you’ll find their sister relationship is unmatched, one that often bleeds into that of best friends. The girls will share zany stories from their childhood, reviews of relationships, and experiences from Florida.
It's been a while, but we wanted to get a last episode of the season in! Kelsey has moved to Raleigh, North Carolina and Hannah made the trip up with her. They have loads of stories of when the move went hilariously wrong. This episode was recorded while the Ober's took their family vacation in the mountains of Boone, North Carolina, which came with funny stories of its own. The cabin we rented was a perfect place to reflect on how we are coping with the continued social distancing and thinking about our upcoming Fall semester. We hope you've enjoyed the not-so-grand finale of season one, and we cannot wait to record again when we are together again. OBER AND OUT!
The Obers have opinions that aren't too divisive, but maybe a little divisive. These are warm takes, not hot takes. Listen in to hear about Tijuana Flats, Make up, FSU, Coronavirus, and shoes.
On this episode of Ober and Out, we talk about Race. As two young white women, we are not experts on this topic, but we are learning more every day. We wanted to keep this short and to the point. Black Lives Matter. White privilege and white supremacy are real, and white people need to actively unlearn them. Stay focused on small things like education and voting, when we all do them, they become big things. Keep up the fight, and stay in the fight for the right reasons.
It's not like it is any big secret that the Ober sisters are Jewish, but in case you didn't know.... they're Jewish. In this episode, Kelsey and Hannah talk about their religion through the years leading up to their Bat Mitzvah, all that glorious time in high school youth group, traveling to Israel, and their future in Judaism.
That's right people, the Ober's are talking about HIGH SCHOOL. King High School, home of the Lions, was a very *special* place. Kelsey and Hannah talk about their different experiences in the IB and AP programs, and how the divide dominated the school. From Student Government to Show choir, the girls were quite involved. Join us for this episode for those movie-like memories, and those memories that are less so.
The Obers have stories to share that you wouldn't believe. Actually you would probably believe them. Hannah talks about pooping her pants and Kelsey talks about getting fooled by an April fools joke, and MORE.
The Obers are back from a week off and thought it was time to share an update about how they are spending their time at home. Hannah and Kelsey talk about their quarantine routine, cooking adventures, show recommendations, and a little bit of gratitude too.
The Ober Gals are Working Gals! From "Welcome to McDonalds" to "Enjoy your stay" and everything in between, Kelsey and Hannah talk about their jobs since 16 years old. You'll hear about ceilings falling, orangutans loose, getting lost in another country, interactions with NFL players, and so much more. The girls may be unemployed now (thanks COVID), but listen in to their previous grinds.
Happy Birthday Hannah! The Ober fam celebrated Hannah's 21st as best we could with the coronavirus restrictions. The girls also shared interesting stories from birthday parties throughout their lives.
Kelsey and Hannah talk about their beloved hometown, Temple Terrace, Florida. You'll learn about Kelsey's greatest childhood achievement and why Hannah thought she was going to get arrested, and lots of fun anecdotes along the way. From the trees to the golf carts, there is a lot going on in this small town.
Meet Kelsey and Hannah Oberbroeckling, the co-hosts of Ober and Out! The girls will talk about how this podcast came to be, what this podcast will be about, and a little about Kelsey and Hannah.
