Jaime Sturgis made the trip down from the U.S. (Fort Lauderdale) armed with a bottle of Don Fulano tequila, to talk about how he became one of South Florida's neighborhood-makers. As Founder and CEO of Native Realty, Jaime has spent the last decade curating emerging districts, from Miami's Wynwood to Fort Lauderdale's Flagler Village, completing millions of square feet of transactions and setting multiple pricing records along the way.A triple-major FSU alum and a frequent voice in Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, GlobeSt, and more, Jaime has built a brokerage known for disrupting the traditional model and shaping the next generation of urban neighborhoods. In this episode, we get into his rise, some surf talk, his approach to placemaking, and where he sees South Florida's growth heading next. We are nine days out from Christmas ... but we're breaking down ball today, kids. Hartzell got his hot yoga flow in early, Lock Dizzy is in the house, and there's a real expert - Roddy Jones - with us to break down these first round games. There's four CFP games this weekend, we hit on all of them - with some visual aids for you YouTubers thanks to Roddy breaking down film. Can Oklahoma do the thing again against Alabama on Friday night (the thing is get outgained and outplayed but force turnovers and short fields and win ugly). Who handles business in the coin-flip game between Miami and Texas A&M? Roddy calls for an upset in College Station but agrees it could go either way. And finally, do either of the G5 participants have a chance on the road Saturday? Experts will tell you no, but Hartzell is no expert. He lays out his path for a JMU upset in Eugene - knowing full well just how unlikely it is - but makes a reasonable case for the anatomy of what an upset would look like. Tulane has no chance in hell of doing anything against Ole Miss and the 45-10 regular season meeting back in September should be reason enough. Should Hartzell be drug tested for his takes? What about Lock Dizzle who can't help himself with the bad FSU takes? We're back with part two on Thursday with Wayne & Felder ... enjoy!See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Donna Adelson has officially been transferred to her new home: Homestead Correctional Institution in Miami-Dade County — and STS is breaking down what this major move means for one of the most notorious defendants in Florida right now. Convicted for her role in the murder of her ex–son-in-law, FSU law professor Dan Markel, Donna is now beginning what could be the rest of her life behind bars. In this Surviving the Survivor episode, Emmy Award-Winning Host Joel Waldman and the #BestGuests take you inside what Donna can expect at Homestead. Dan Markel was gunned down in his Tallahassee driveway in 2014 in a planned murder-for-hire plot tied to a bitter child-custody battle. For years, the case twisted through shocking allegations, wiretaps, informants, and arrests — ultimately leading to Donna's conviction.Support the show & be a part of #STSNation:Donate to STS' Trial Travel: Https://www.paypal.com/ncp/payment/GJ...VENMO: @STSPodcast or Https://www.venmo.com/stspodcastCheck out STS Merch: Https://www.bonfire.com/store/sts-store/Joel's Book: Https://amzn.to/48GwbLxSupport the show on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/SurvivingTheSurvivorEmail: SurvivingTheSurvivor@gmail.com Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Marty's Florida State Seminoles are keeping Mike Norvell despite a 40-21 loss to Florida that kept FSU from the postseason for a 2nd straight year…how is the fanbase coping with that? There's also reports that FSU may have been trying to pursue Lane Kiffin to be their coach…did he hear those rumors last week? Florida State landed a large 2026 signing class.✅ 32 total signees✅ A potential quarterback of the future in Jaden O'NealFrom a pure numbers standpoint, this class checks the Quantity box. But is the Quality there? And even if it is: Can this class (or any future class) thrive in the current state of the program? • The current coaching staff hasn't come close to delivering on The Standard. • The whole football operation is about to undergo major restructuring: Allegedly. • And financial pressures — from NIL to facilities — are adding complexity to FSU's next chapterGarnet & Old takes a step back to ask: • Is this a class built to compete — or to stabilize? • Can a Norvell staff develop these players amid instability? • And will the program's long-term prospects live up to its elite legacy? The numbers are solid. The talent remains to be seen. But the quandary lies in everything off the field.
While we were all prepping to carve turkeys, the FSU administration carved out another year for Mike Norvell — and we've got thoughts. In this special Thanksgiving edition of Garnet & Old, Ryan and Vince unpack the real meaning behind the decision to stick with Norvell and what it says about fan commitment, booster vibes, and whether the FSU brass is actually aligned… or just avoiding the hard convo over leftovers.Plus: This year's FSU–UF rivalry game: a dry turkey with no gravy. We preview the matchup and debate whether any of it matters...

Welcome to Episode #64 of the No Conference for Old Men podcast. Like last season, it was a mixed bag for Houston at the Players Era Festival. With lots of "wisdom and learnings," as Coach Sampson likes to say, the team won two games against Syracuse and Notre Dame. But the Coogs also suffered a close loss to a Tennessee team seeking payback for last season's Elite 8 loss. The Cougars are now 7-1 for the season and are ranked #7 in the coaches poll, #8 in the AP poll, and #9 in KenPom. There's been plenty of time to work on the issues during this 10-day break before facing FSU at the Toyota Center. Please have a listen as the 3 Old Men break down the games from Vegas and provide some thoughts on what to expect from a team-adjustment perspective heading into this final stretch of non-conference games. We also discuss the two elite HS players to sign with the Cougars during the early signing period. - No Conference for Old Men is available for free via Spotify / Apple Podcast / SoundCloud & the GoCoogs.com website; we're also available via the Republic of Football Podcast feed from the folks at Dave Campbell's Texas Football as their only basketball-centric offering - Intro / Exit music: Ground Zero provided by FreeBeats.io - Please follow us on gocoogs.com/old-men/ Learn more about your ad choices. ESPN college football reporter Andrea Adelson joins Game On. Reports came out that FSU tried to get Lane Kiffin before they said Mike Norvell will be the coach for the 2026 season. How awkward is this upcoming season for Mike Norvell knowing he isn't wanted. Does Andrea think Miami can make the playoffs?

Florida State has reached the offseason, another crucial one for Mike Norvell after his fourth losing season in six years in Tallahassee. The Seminoles lost, 40-21, to a 4-8 Florida team to conclude the season with a 5-7 record. Florida running back Jadan Baugh ran for 266 yards, the second-most ever by a Gator. FSU was 2-7 in its final nine games. This episode of On The Bench recaps the loss to the Gators and the season as a whole. The episode also discusses how FSU could approach front office changes, including some targets for the Seminoles' potentially restructured front office. Lastly, it provides the latest updates on recruiting with signing day just a couple of days away.
