Operational Research is an Open University Malaysia (OUM) course offered by the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST). This is a compulsory OUM course for learners undertaking the Bachelor of Technology Management and Bachelor of Manufacturing Management programmes.
Episode 6 discusses linear programs in which some or all the variables are restricted to integer or discrete values.
Episode 7 introduces deterministic inventory models. Inventory is any stored resource that is used to satisfy a current or a future need; for example, the raw materials and finished goods. This episode covers the importance of inventory control and its formulations.

Episode 4 introduces a special class of linear programming that deals with shipping a commodity from sources to destinations. The main objective is to determine the shipping schedule that minimises the total shipping cost while satisfying supply and demand constraints.
Episode 5 covers three network optimisation algorithms, i.e. minimal spanning tree, shortest-path algorithm and maximum flow algorithm.

Episode 1 covers the history of operations research, the nature of operations research and the impact of operations research.
Episode 2 introduces a two-variable model and presents it in the form of graphical solution.
Episode 3 discusses the transition from the geometric corner-point solution to the simplex method. It requires a computational procedure that determines the corner points algebraically.
