Ian Hubbard grew up in South River, New Jersey. Ian has worked in many capacities since moving to New York after attending college at Syracuse University, including resume consultation and sales in the Financial District. He currently lives in Manhattan with his wife Molly. On this episode of Popography, Ian and I discuss his love of the Yankees and how growing up in the shadow of New York City influenced his cultural identity. I also learn about Ian's father's baseball career, and how the sport helped Ian connected to his father after an untimely passing. When Chris isn't crafting itineraries or drinking beer, he loves having passionate discussions about baseball, football, and hockey. He currently lives in Hoboken, NJ with his fiancé Danielle. On this episode of Popography, Chris and I discuss how his love of the Mets transcended baseball and gave him a love of statistics that he carried into a doing sales for a primary research firm. More importantly, he reveals how the mutual passion of baseball he shares with his father helped develop their relationship and bring their family closer together.
