Comedians Mark Bailey and Mike Miller talk funny about Mark's idea for a new phone app for people walking and staring at their phone, why you aren't important enough to look at your phone, annoying podcast ads, why gold doesn't make sense, Brought to you by Nagoyaradio.com, Nagoyacomedy.com, and stand up comic Mark Bailey
We've been covering Bill Burr's podcast since his meltdowns following the backlash from the Riyadh Comedy Festival. Adam Busch and Christian Bladt went to see Bill perform standup comedy last week and Adam had an epiphany. He explains why Bill's podcast is so pedestrian and unfunny. Christian joins us with a notebook full of notes. Lucy Tightbox is in studio and I discuss the previous weekend in Vegas at “Pulperfest.” John DiCaprio was the guy who was picked to organize the event and instead he talked a bunch of shit from his hotel room while keeping all of the money. Ron the Waiter used his special day to dunk on Opie and it's brilliant. Richard Marx and his wife, the very drunk Daisy Fuentes, livestreamed during the pandemic and embarrassed themselves spectacularly. Miss Judy joined Lucy on her show to break down some of the more ridiculous elements of Stuttering John's LOLsuit. Stuttering John has decided once again it's time to run away from the bullies. Megan and Annie join the show for a round of “Is It Gay?” and “To Poke A Dabbler.” We finish up with comments, reviews, and voicemails. Michael and I would like to take a moment and thank all of our great Subscribers and patrons this year. It has been a wildly successful growth year in listens, watches, and articles read, and we are truly blessed to see it. We are striving to improve and keep growing with some different things rolling out next year. While the cancellation is under review with the Department of War for national security risks, I think that if science is applied, it will be an easy ruling. So after reading about these cancellations, I wanted to see who would be impacted by the company and how consumers would be impacted. This will be an ongoing story as it unfolds, but the high utility costs will be passed on to consumers. And make no mistake, the Democrats will use this to their advantage, and Republicans won't do anything.President Trump and Secretaries Doug Burgum and Chris Wright are running down the road trying to do the right thing for the American People. The costs associated with the project are going to be huge, and when the Democrats start ripping President Trump over this, remember the Billions of dollars and the crippling of the economy that Obama, Biden, and the governors of Democratic states cost the US citizens by their overreach and Net Zero enforcement of horrific policies. The main topics discussed1. The Trump administration's cancellation of several major offshore wind projects in the U.S. due to national security concerns. The projects mentioned include Vineyard Wind One, Revolution Wind, Sunrise Wind, Coastal Virginia Wind Offshore, and Empire Wind.2. The potential impact of these project cancellations on companies involved, such as Dominion Energy, GE Vernova, Orsted, and Equinor. The transcript discusses the financial performance and stock price movements of these companies.3. The debate around the definition of "green energy" and the challenges of integrating renewable energy sources like wind and solar into the power grid, including issues around transmission, costs, and reliability.4. The delay or cancellation of the retirement of some fossil fuel power plants in the U.S. in response to increasing electricity demand, particularly from the growth of AI and data centers.5. The global oil market dynamics, including the "oil glut" with a large number of oil tankers at sea, the impact of sanctions on major producers like Russia and Venezuela, and discussions around OPEC's role in oil price determination.6. The overall commentary on the state of the energy industry, policy debates, and Stu's perspectives on the various topics covered.1.All Large Scale Offshore Wind Projects Under Construction Suspended Due to National Security Concerns2.Virginia-based Utility Dominion Energy May Be Hit as Investors Eye This Week's Offshore Wind Cancellations3.GE Vernova Inc: Supplier to Vineyard Wind, Looking at Its Books After This Week's Trump Administration Cancellation of Projects4.U.S. Fossil-Fuel Power Plants Delay Retirement as AI Power Demand Soars5.Oil Glut and Surging Barrels at Sea Have Spooked Oil Traders and the Market, but Is This Market Dysfunction Rather Than a Glut?6.U.S. Department of Energy to Return $13 Billion to the Treasury and a clear definition of green energy is needed.Feel Free to use this as an excuse to not hang out with your in-laws if you need to over the holidays. Rick goes one-on-one with comedy buddy Mike O'Brien, a man who somehow balances three full-time identities: stand-up comic, Boston Duck Boats tour guide, and the go-to “guy on the street” anytime a local TV news crew needs a quote right now. If there's a microphone within 50 feet in Boston, Mike has opinions—and he's not afraid to share them. The guys dig into the real issues facing society today, like bathrooms in Boston, proper men's room etiquette, the logic (or lack thereof) behind all-gender bathroom designations, and—naturally—their personal rankings of the city's best places to pee. From there, the conversation shifts to the ever-growing pressure for comics to crank out Instagram content just to stay relevant. Is posting clips basically a stage credit now? They debate. They also kick around future-planning fantasies—living off-grid versus staying planted in the city—sprinkle in some Boston sports talk, and unload a few hot takes on phone apps they love, hate, and absolutely refuse to learn. It's a classic Scuttlebutt episode: comedy, common sense, and way too much thought put into bathrooms.

Send us a textUnwrap a present filled with laughter as our special holiday podcast brings together some of comedy's most brilliant minds sharing their hilarious, heartwarming, and occasionally cringe-worthy Christmas experiences.Greg Schwem kicks things off with the evolution of his family's improvised Christmas carol tradition, where party guests receive personalized verses set to "Up on the Housetop" – a tradition born from alcohol and creativity that became an eagerly anticipated annual event. Meanwhile, Kermit Apio transports us to Hawaii, where Santa mysteriously arrives via yellow cab with a garbage bag full of presents in broad daylight, challenging everything we thought we knew about Christmas logistics while demonstrating children's remarkable ability to overlook inconsistencies when gifts are involved. The emotional highlight comes from Yakov Smirnoff, who recounts his family's first Christmas in America after escaping the Soviet Union. Having grown up with "New Year's trees" and "Father Frost" in a country where religious holidays were banned, Yakov was overwhelmed when neighbors in his Bronx apartment building showed up at his door with furniture, food, clothing, and appliances he didn't even recognize. "In this most wonderful nation on earth, there's a little bit of real Santa Claus in every American," he reflects.Gift-giving disasters abound as Tim Bedore shares his catastrophic decision to give his girlfriend an urn (which he didn't recognize as such) in front of her entire family, while Steve Bruner warns against giving appliances as Christmas presents. Larry Brown offers a different perspective on holiday disappointment, recounting how bombing his Tonight Show audition just before Christmas 1984 led to "probably the worst Christmas of my life."Whether you're celebrating with family, working through the holidays, or just needing a laugh to counter seasonal stress, these comedians' perspectives remind us that behind perfect holiday imagery, real celebrations are often messy, unexpected, and make the best stories for years to come. Pour some eggnog, find a comfortable spot, and let these comedy professionals unwrap the holiday season in ways that will have you laughing into the new year.Support the show www.StandupComedyPodcastNetwork.com Website....check it out, podcast, jokes, blogs, and More!"NEW" Video Podcast: Tag Team Talent Podcast on Spotify & YouTube Podcast Quality List: https://www.millionpodcasts.com/heritage-podcasts/ Please Write a Review: in-depth walk-through for leaving a review.Interested in Standup Comedy? #903. Comedian, actor, theater kid, chaos enthusiast — Gianmarco Soresi joins Kaitlyn for a laugh-out-loud, no-notes-needed episode recorded in New York City.Gianmarco opens up about starting out as a musical theater kid with Broadway dreams, how singing still sneaks its way into his comedy, his time on movie sets (yes, one involved J.Lo), and why he genuinely enjoys being bullied at SoulCycle. They riff on reality TV, producers, hecklers, triggering April Fools jokes, long-term relationships, creative highs, embarrassing on-stage moments, and a very questionable TV show idea involving… small weens. It's silly, honest, and the kind of conversation that only happens when two people are fully cracking each other up — basically, the perfect episode to throw on when you want to laugh and feel like you're hanging out with friends. Enjoy
Are President Trump's tariffs illegal? Will the independence of federal agencies be a thing of the past? Is birthright citizenship about to be taken away? These are just a few of the consequential questions before a Supreme Court that's hell-bent on destroying obstacles to President Trump's executive power. Alex talks to two plaintiffs at the center of of these cases, Toymaker Rick Woldenberg and former FTC Commissioner Rebecca Slaughter. Then, she sits down with NYU Professor and Strict Scrutiny host Melissa Murray to put it all into context and talk about what the long term impacts will be of a Supreme Court where corruption and partisanship are now out in the open.
