Being involved in important local matters is one of the few ways we can truly make a difference for our communities, food freedom, and farmers. Bringing it Home: Your Challenge to Go For It Courage is action, not the absence of fear. Don't wait until you're "ready." 1. Fearlessly Audit a Project: Go For It and audit a side hustle or homestead project using a framework like the Revenue Stack. Be honest about where you need to price up, fix it, or drop it. 2. Go For the Hard Conversation: Go For It and speak up about a local issue or personal matter you know you should address. Your passion is more powerful than silence. 3. Take the First Small Step: What is the one small, specific step you can take today to move toward a big goal? More and more Republicans across the country are starting to stand up to Donald Trump and defy his orders, and it is driving him completely insane. He's now directing his wrath at Republicans in Indiana for refusing to vote to gerrymander their state the way that others have (and the other states have received intense backlash for doing so.) Trump is calling on MAGA acolytes to primary these Republicans, but he doesn't seem to understand that he's the one who has been exposed as a weak and feckless leader. Donald Trump is so desperate to distract everyone from the barrage of Epstein files being released that he's resorting to things that can only be described as comical. At the end of last week, he demanded that Pam Bondi start investigating Bill Clinton and several other prominent figures that are believed to have ties to Epstein, and Bondi immediately complied. But he's not fooling anyone, and his distraction efforts aren't doing anything to stop him from being completely consumed by this scandal. After roughly a year of being in complete limbo with odds increasing that it was going to die forever, the prosecution of Donald Trump in the state of Georgia is back on. A new prosecutor has agreed to take up the case after Fani Willis was removed and no other prosecutor was willing to take on such a daunting task. While the prosecution itself likely won't happen while Donald Trump is still in office, the fact that the case has effectively been revived is absolutely a positive development.Donald Trump's mental health has taken a turn for the worse, and that's not good for a man whose sanity and mental abilities were already questionable. But he has been hit with the perfect storm of problems in the month of November, and he doesn't know how to handle a single one of them. All he can do is get on Truth Social and scream into the void about how unfair everything is and how all of his problems are somehow just "hoaxes" being created by the Democratic Party. Donald Trump recently held a private dinner with some of the biggest CEOs in the country, and those who attended told reporters that Trump was basically asking them how to be president. Specifically, he was asking for advice on the issue of "affordability," even though he proclaimed on social media just days later that "affordability is a joke." The Washington Monthly called him as "one of America's most important journalists." The Portland Oregonian said his work equals the original muckrakers: Ida Tarbell, Upton Sinclair and Lincoln Steffens. Johnston met Donald Trump in 1988 and in April 1990 revealed that Trump's was no billionaire. When Trump announced his latest run for the White House in June 2015, Johnston was the only nationally-known journalist who immediately said Trump was serious this time and might get the GOP nomination. His reporting over the next year led to the Making of Donald Trump, published around the world in English and German on August 2, 2016, by Melville House. The San Jose Mercury recruited Johnston when he was just 18 years old because of his reporting for two small weekly newspapers in Santa Cruz, Calif. At age 19 The Mercury hired him as a staff writer. Within weeks his byline made the front page. Over the next four decades his award-winning investigations appeared in that paper, the Detroit Free Press, Los Angeles Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer and The New York Times. Since 2009 Johnston has taught the business regulation, property and tax law of the ancient world at Syracuse University College of Law.
