I've recently had numerous friends go through some tough life challenges. I never use to be that someone that would extend my help or even be there for friends and family i time of need. Over the past several years, I have found myself becoming that one friend that everyone came to in time of need. I've asked many of my friends why and they all have told me that I'm easy to speak to and that I don't ever interject or tell them what to do. Frankly, I LISTEN! Empathy is something that was very difficult for me to learn voluntarily. Honestly, I became more empathetic by accident. I care dearly about my close friends and family. I realized one day that I never had anyone there for me when I went through tough times. I did it all on my own. I HATED IT!
