This episode of Rebuilding the World focuses on the community of Vale Encantado, a favela on the edge of Rio de Janeiro's Tijuca forest. The community has implemented an ingenious solution for dealing with its sewage, a solution that can provide a model for the millions of households and communities throughout Brazil that empty their untreated sewage directly into local water ways.
