PE and Chronic Thromboembolic Disorder Acute pulmonary emboli are a common clinical entity in both surgical and medical patients. Presentation and management of this condition as well as its subacute cousin, chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTPH) is not as uniform as what the textbooks suggest however. What is CTPH? What is the role of thrombolysis as compared to just anticoagulation in managing submassive pulmonary emboli? Resepiratory physician Dr Gary "MD Hammer" Hammerschlag and interviewer Dr Sam Fiorenza answer all these questions and more in Episode 2.

In our inaugural episode, we discuss the common and somewhat controversial topic of management of atrial fibrillation. Clinical presentations of atrial fibrillation can vary from no symptoms whatsoever, to severe cardiovascular compromise. This begs the question - what is the best way to assess a patient in AF? To digoxin or not to digoxin? And what is the role of pulmonary artery isolation and other non medical management? These questions and more will be answered in Episode 1 between cardiologist Dr Paul Sparks, ICU consultant Dr Rob Citrone and our interviewer, Dr Sam Fiorenza.
