Presentation and management of this condition as well as its subacute cousin, chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTPH) is not as uniform as what the textbooks suggest however. What is CTPH? What is the role of thrombolysis as compared to just anticoagulation in managing submassive pulmonary emboli?
