Satan is the master at deception. He likes to make good look evil and evil look good. We need to be mentally and spiritually awake in order to spot his counterfeits. Come join us as we expose his counterfeit to having on the Helmet of Salvation--that most vital piece of armor that allows us to hear the Lord's guiding voice.

In Part 1 of the Helmet of Salvation we learned to discern the truth versus Satan's lies. In Part 2 we are creating a battle plan of how to fight against these attacks from the adversary. Come join us as we discuss two valuable battle strategies that will cap off our defensive armor.

In what ways is Satan trying to distract you from focusing on that which is of most worth? In what ways is he trying to exploit your natural man tendencies to use against you? In this episode we are going to expose Satan's counterfeit to righteousness and that is to either choose anarchy, where we don't want any law, or to choose tyranny where we take God's laws and add more to them, causing us to look beyond the mark. With anarchy we wish to just follow our natural man appetites, so, we are going to learn what some of those natural man tendencies are so that we can better recognize them and "put them off".

Now that we know which side has the truth and who the true Captain is, we are going to sign on the dotted line and enter into a contract to join the Lord's army. It is time to begin training! In allegiance to self, we were tempted to take matters into our own hands, not trusting in God or anyone else. On the other end of the spectrum, we turn over ownership and responsibility for our choices to other people. We call this an allegiance to man. Come join us as we expose another one of Satan's counterfeits!

In this episode we are going to expose one of Satan's counterfeits to having your loins girt about with truth. Satan's counterfeits tempt us to replace God for Satan or man. An allegiance to self is where we begin to trust in our own strength and abilities. Come and join us to see how Satan tempts us to subtly switch our allegiance away from God to our self.

In order to get ready for battle we must gird our loins with truth. In this episode we will learn what it means to gird our loins with truth. We will look to the example of Joseph in Egypt and learn what gave him the fortitude to successfully go through his many trials. We will also have fun applying the adventurous sport of rappelling to life and how that is like having your loins girt about with truth. In this episode we will learn about the battle we are in, who it is against, and why we should join. We will also do a fun exercise to learn what our unique assignments are in the Lord's army. Are you a weapons specialist? A lieutenant? A camp cook? Come join us as we explore what an assignment in the Lord's army looks like and the value of each of those roles. This episode shares with you my journey of how I came to recognize that Satan was trying to counterfeit the Lord's armor. My kids and I discuss the story of David and Goliath and learn the answers to questions such as: How are we each like David? What does it look like to have on the Armor of God? What does it look like to be offered counterfeit, worldly armor? Who are the Goliath's in our life, and how do we defeat them? The kids also give a sneak peek into some of their favorite teachings that will be discussed later in the series. We each have a role or mission to fulfill in the Lord's plan. He is calling to us and has been preparing us for that mission, but it won't be without challenges--Satan is like a Goliath defying us. It is imperative that we suit up with the Lord's armor, so that we can fulfill our missions with power just as David did. Join us as we begin on a journey to learn how to suit up with the Lord's true armor and how to discern the true from the false.
