The Truman Rights Podcast is centered around sharing authors' work from around the world.
Episode six features three short stories: One I wrote, one my buddy wrote, and one Barry Hannah wrote. This is not a poetry podcast. This is a podcast about sharing high-caliber works of art. In episode four I read a few selections from my poetry collection Acidic Rhythm (available on Amazon) as well as a few submissions from folks who follow me. If you'd like to be featured on the podcast slide into my DMs on Instagram (@trumanrights). I will have a P.O. box soon for folks to mail me letters, poems, stories, screenplays, etc to be read on the podcast. Hopefully, video podcasts are coming soon. This podcast can be found on iTunes and YouTube.
I wrote "High Lining" in my second creative writing class in college. I am in debt but at least I have a B.A. in English and this piece. I hope you enjoy. Next episode I will be reading submissions. If you'd like your work read please hit me up @trumanrights on Instagram.
In episode two here I read Courtney Maum's Notes From Mexico. Courtney Maum is the author of the novels Costalegre, Touch, I Am Having So Much Fun Here Without You, and the handbook Before and After the Book Deal: A writer’s guide to finishing, publishing, promoting, and surviving your first book, forthcoming from Catapult.
This show was born to do mainly one thing: Share creative writing from folks across the globe. I plan on reading a piece of my own each episode (along with the submissions) unless that episode is dedicated to one author. I was looking for a way to help promote authors of all kinds and I think I came up with a solution in this podcast. I will eventually have a P.O. box for submissions but until then, follow along on Instagram (@TrumanRights) and submit there. Enjoy.
