This week we are talking about the deconstructing of faith. We will dialogue about the term deconstruction and what it has come to mean among our peers, as well as seek to find a better way of defining the process so rather than abandoning ones faith altogether it is built on a stronger foundation than before. We interviewed Anthony Meyer and Wes Durrwachter who both recently went through the process of deconstructing their faith and then rebuilding it. Each of them has had somewhat different experiences, but both similarly have had to examine their beliefs and sift through what is actually Biblical and what they simply believed due to the cultural context they grew up in. Welcome to the Turning Tables Podcast. Our goal is to cultivate a space for thoughtful conversations about the issues that shape and impact our worldview. You won’t necessarily hear all the perspectives in each episode to be perfectly in line, but you should expect our conversations to always remain civil and charitable. The goal of each episode is not necessarily to come to a conclusion, but to instead explore ideas and start conversations. And sometimes that requires us to follow Jesus’s example of turning tables. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/turningpod/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/turningpod/support
