This week we took a detour into the joy of the Knicks championship and what it says about New York, collective identity, and why Zohran Mamdani’s politics make sense in a city where the billionaire and the bodega worker share the same sewer pipe. Then we got back to the markets, where a flood of new share issuances is quietly changing the supply and demand math that’s driven equities upward for 40 years. With bond yields actually competing for attention, the irrational exuberance warnings are starting to sound less crazy. B-52 Bomber Crashes In California. Trump At NYC Parade? Knicks At White House? Primaries Tues In Alabama, Dc, Georgia And Oklahoma. NYPD Rise To The Moment. Independents have hit 47% of the country. Republicans are at 26%. Democrats at 27%. That's not a trend line — that's a tectonic shift, and the new CNN poll out today confirms what this show has been saying for years: the angry middle isn't homeless, it isn't tribeless, it's free. Paul Rieckhoff breaks down the numbers, what they mean for the 2026 midterms, and why younger voters, male voters, and white voters without college degrees are walking away from the GOP — and not running to the Democrats. From there, it's a full no-BS briefing. Iran has de facto control over the Strait of Hormuz and Trump is negotiating what looks like a surrender. Eight crew members are dead after a B-52 crash at Edwards Air Force Base — a story buried under the noise. Closed primaries on Tuesday continue to disenfranchise nearly half the electorate. The NYPD is rising to meet a wild week of Knicks, World Cup, and parade security. And the big question hangs over Thursday: will Trump show up and shit on New York's joy, or stay in his tower? It's a sanctuary in a chaotic week — and a reminder that you're not alone in the angry middle. -WATCH full video of this episode here. -Visit Kalshi and trade on anything. The United States and Iran have negotiated a deal following a period of military conflict involving U.S. and Israeli airstrikes, leading to a 60-day ceasefire to allow for continued nuclear negotiations. Under the preliminary agreement, shipping will resume through the critical Strait of Hormuz without Iranian interference. The director of Heritage's Center for National Defense Robert Greenway joins the Rundown to discuss the nuances of the negotiations, Iran's crippled enrichment capabilities, and the role of Israel in regional security. Some of the world's most powerful artificial intelligence models have just been abruptly taken offline. Following an emergency export control directive from the Trump administration, AI pioneer Anthropic disabled its new Fable 5 and Mythos 5 models due to severe national security anxieties. The federal intervention came after Amazon officials alerted the White House that a simple "jailbreak" technique allowed users to completely bypass safety guardrails—raising alarms that rogue states or bad actors could exploit software flaws to launch catastrophic cyberattacks. Ohio Republican Senator Jon Husted joins the Rundown to dissect the federal government's high-stakes "pause" on frontier AI and the delicate needle policymakers must thread between out-innovating China and defending domestic infrastructure. Also, Sen. Husted discusses his tough reelection campaign. PLUS, commentary by Joe Abraham the father of Katie Abraham, who was killed in a drunken-driving accident by an illegal alien. The memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran was apparently signed over the weekend, but the text remains a mystery to most. Donald Trump says he'll release it and even read it himself so nobody can misunderstand it. If it's such good news, though, why not put it out right now? Israel isn't a fan of it, nor are those who believe we've abandoned the Iranian people by making a deal with the IRGC. At the same time, there may be a silent majority that cares less about the politics and more about the price at the pump. And that's what caught my attention.Since the beginning of May, with Iran closing the Strait of Hormuz, gas prices in the United States have fallen. Not by a little, but by a lot. The national average has gone from roughly $4.50 a gallon to $3.50. That happened while the strait was closed and before any memorandum of understanding was announced. The White House wasn't bragging about it. They weren't loudly telling Iran that the closure wasn't working. That made me think something else was going on.Politics Politics Politics is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber. After digging through it, I've been able to dig up a few explanations. The most public, I'd argue, was the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. The Department of Energy released more than 53 million barrels as part of a broader international effort, bringing the reserve down to its lowest level since 1983. There were also reports that the United States was helping move oil out of the Gulf using some of the same techniques Iran has historically used to evade sanctions. American production remained high. Every hint of a peace deal pushed oil prices lower. Global demand softened. China sharply reduced its purchases on the open market. Alternative routes around Hormuz became more important. Gasoline inventories improved. All of it pushed prices down.If I rank the reasons, peace-talk optimism sits at the top. Strategic reserve releases bought time. American-supported workarounds moved real barrels. Demand destruction, especially with China stepping back, reduced pressure. Improved gasoline inventories helped. Some of the more speculative theories include sanctions waivers for Iranian oil, greater tolerance for shadow-fleet shipments, and alternate export routes making Hormuz less decisive than Iran hoped. What stands out is that there were more American incentives to get to the table than Iranian ones. The Strategic Petroleum Reserve is a temporary band-aid. Smuggling oil out of the Gulf is risky. Every day the Strait of Hormuz remained closed carried economic and military risks. That helps explain why the White House wanted a deal. Iran had incentives too, especially if China was no longer buying at previous levels, but the balance of pressure appears different than many expected. My assumption remains what it has been for weeks: there are multiple power centers inside Iran, and the biggest question is whether any deal can survive them. The Ayatollah is gone, much of Iran's leadership structure has been shattered, and the IRGC itself appears divided between factions willing to make a deal and hardliners who want to keep fighting. The memorandum of understanding may give us a clearer picture when we finally see it. Until then, the biggest question isn't whether a deal exists. It's whether anyone on the Iranian side can actually enforce it.Chapters00:00:00 - Intro00:02:38 - Iran and Gas Prices00:31:47 - Update00:32:04 - UFC 250 Terrorism Plot00:37:46 - Russia-Ukraine00:39:48 - Primaries00:42:48 - Interview with Maria Curi01:11:46 - Wrap-up This is a public episode. As JD Vance debunks the US media's parroting of the Iranian media's propaganda about President Trump's peace plan with Iran, a powerful clarity emerges from the terrorist-regime's smoldering ashes: They NEED war to justify their existence. What a boring playbook. Jenny Newsom looks to get snarled in her own money mess too. And is anyone else curious about the $200 million money laundering op democrats were funneling through Ukraine with USAID for Joe Biden's re-election fund? Is THAT why Zelensky is now so eager to make a deal with Trump?

Bill talks with legal scholar and former U.S. attorney Barbara McQuade about her book, "The Fix: Saving America from the Corruption of a Mob-Style Government," arguing that core democratic principles—rule of law and equality before the law—are eroding under Donald Trump. McQuade describes Trump's tactics as extortionate and mob-like, pressuring institutions such as law firms, media, universities, and allies, and warns that Congress has failed to check executive overreach while the Supreme Court's shadow docket and unitary-executive approach can enable it. She says DOJ independence has been damaged by political payback efforts and cites examples of alleged lawbreaking and self-dealing, including tariffs, Iran action, emoluments-style profiteering, and a proposed tax-related settlement. McQuade outlines “fixes” including restoring DOJ norms, extending ethics rules, and structural reforms like ranked-choice voting, independent redistricting, and overturning Citizens United, emphasizing elections and accountability, including reviving the election-interference case after Trump leaves office. Greg Kelly Reports | June 15, 2026 - The episode opens with a firsthand account of the UFC event at the White House, framing it as a major cultural and political spectacle that blends combat sports, patriotism, celebrity, and President Trump's personal connection to the sport. - A central theme is Trump's international leverage, with the show highlighting his rapid trip from the White House to the G7 in France and presenting the emerging Iran agreement as proof that military pressure and dealmaking can be used together to block Tehran's nuclear ambitions. - The episode contrasts America's current strength with past weakness by celebrating Elon Musk's trillionaire milestone, the SpaceX and Tesla success story, and the broader resurgence of U.S. energy dominance after the oil crises of the 1970s. - New York City's postgame unrest becomes a major domestic warning sign, with the show condemning the violent Knicks celebrations, the apparent lack of control by city leadership, and the normalization of mob behavior in public streets and transit hubs. - The broader message ties together sports, politics, and public culture, from college athletics reform and Georgia's governor race to Gavin Newsom's mounting scrutiny and the Karmelo Anthony case, arguing that strength, order, and accountability are increasingly replacing chaos, weakness, and excuse-making. Co-hosts Jared Yates Sexton and Nick Hauselman break down Donald Trump's highly publicized 80th birthday peace plan, which is actually just an extension of the ceasefire with Iran. Jared details the staggering public and private costs, including $24 billion in unfrozen assets and a minimum of $300 billion in American-funded war reparations to a nation whose entire GDP matches that amount. While JD Vance takes to the airwaves to compare the deal to the unconditional surrenders of World War II, Nick and Jared expose the framework as a massive vehicle for market manipulation designed to kick economic and energy consequences down the road while bypassing crucial nuclear considerations. The corporate circus continues on the front lawn of the White House, which Trump transformed into an octagon for UFC 250. The duo reacts to the garish spectacle, which included fighter entrances from the Oval Office, flyovers, and fighter Josh Hoke's bizarre post-fight interview antics. They also dig into the deleted tweet controversy involving Eric Trump allegedly hunting for insider fighter data to place bets via direct message. Finally, they confront the reality of unchecked tech capitalism as Elon Musk officially becomes the world's first trillionaire, propped up by billions in government subsidies to form a new tech-military-industrial complex. The hosts close with a look at the quiet, bipartisan surrender to artificial intelligence as the Trump administration readies to buy shares in OpenAI while competitors like Anthropic warn of autonomous self-replication.
What if the biggest story in America isn't politics at all?In this episode of The Right Side: After watching the massive UFC event associated with President Trump, Doug Billings realized the real story wasn't the fights, the celebrities, or even Trump himself. The story was the crowd. Why do America's media elites, Hollywood elites, and political elites seem perpetually shocked by election results, cultural trends, and the values of ordinary Americans?Doug explores the growing disconnect between the people who shape America's culture and the people who actually live in America.Drawing on his experiences growing up in Kansas City, years in education, and conversations with thousands of listeners across the country, Doug explains why millions of Americans are rediscovering confidence in their own values, their own observations, and their own common sense. This isn't really a story about UFC.It's a story about family, faith, patriotism, personal responsibility, culture, and why ordinary Americans are no longer willing to let elites define reality for them.Topics include:• The cultural significance of Trump's UFC event• Why media elites keep misreading America• The disconnect between Hollywood and Main Street• Family, faith, and traditional American values• Why ordinary Americans are pushing back• The Great American Pushback and the future of the RepublicThe story isn't politics. The Greatest MAGA Military Recruiting Ad Ever. Iran and US Say They Have a Deal. Hegseth: Ecuador and Guatemala Are Next. Fox Gobbles Up Roku. USA Soccer Wins Big! Even Though Trump Called Them. Sports is our mirror. On Saturday night, that mirror reflected the best of America — a 53-years-in-the-making Knicks championship built on a diverse, humble, durable team led by Jalen Brunson, a man who shook every hand on the losing side because integrity is doing the right thing even when nobody's watching. On Sunday night, the mirror reflected something uglier: a UFC card on the White House lawn, locked behind a Paramount Plus paywall, with no women on the card, fight bonuses paid in Trump-family crypto, and sponsors ranging from Elon's Starlink to Turning Point USA. The White House, Paul argues, was openly for sale — and most fight fans loved it. In this solo Monday briefing, Paul connects the dots between a triumphant Knicks parade week, a wildly effective piece of military-recruiting propaganda dressed up as an octagon, a U.S. World Cup team that just dropped three on its opener, a fragile Iran ceasefire with none of the original objectives met, Hegseth telegraphing Ecuador and Guatemala as next on the “Donroe” Doctrine hit list, and Fox swallowing Roku for $22 billion. He closes where the show always closes — with Brooklyn bikers carrying Narcan, an Angry Middle that isn't homeless but free, and a reminder that eternal vigilance is the price of freedom. -WATCH full video of this episode here. -Visit Kalshi and trade on anything. President Trump is in Geneva for the G7 summit, where Vice President Vance is expected to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the Islamic Republic of Iran. While the administration touts this as the "peace deal" that ends decades of hostility, the reality is far more nuanced. In truth, it's a 60-day clock to negotiate the world's most dangerous flashpoints: Iran's nuclear ambitions, missile programs, terror proxies, and control over the crucial Strait of Hormuz. Has the U.S. secured a diplomatic breakthrough, or have we blinked first against a fanatical regime? To break down what this deal really means, Victoria Coates, Vice President of the Heritage Foundation's Davis Institute for National Security and Foreign Policy and former Deputy National Security Advisor during the first Trump administration, joins the FOX News Rundown: Evening Edition to discuss the deal, Iran's motives, and what comes next. I guess we gotta give a small amount of credit to the UFC for showing some uncharacteristic restraint during Donald Trump's Big Birthday Bash at the White House. They actually kept the overt MAGA Mania to a minimum. They didn't show D-Tiddy himself too much (though when they did, he sure seemed to be having a terrible time). They didn't have anybody pop out of a cake to sing “Happy B-Day, Mr. President,” or bring the special little guy into the cage to give him a championship belt. Then again, if “it could have been worse” is our metric for success, well, that says it all, doesn't it? There were good parts and bad parts of UFC Free Dumb 250, is what we're saying. This shit looked great on TV. The UFC's live event production team remains elite. The Marine Corps band absolutely crushed it all night. The fights themselves trended from pretty good to all time-great. A bunch of the other stuff was bad, though. AI slop during the story of America? Bad. Josh Hokit on the mic? Fucking terrible. Using this event as the public-facing element of UFC ownership's efforts to cuddle up even further with this presidential administration? Yep, still bad! Learn more about your ad choices. Was the White House UFC event a bold display of political power—or a spectacle that distracted from more pressing issues? In this video, we examine the controversy surrounding Donald Trump's UFC-themed White House event, including criticism over its symbolism, the condition of public spaces, reactions from political opponents, and broader questions about leadership and priorities. We also explore claims about public opinion, the political messaging behind the event, and how New York City's leadership is presenting an alternative vision of governance.Critics argue the event transformed the White House grounds into a stage for political theater, while supporters view it as an unconventional celebration of American culture. US President Donald Trump said on Monday a preliminary agreement to end the war in the Gulf has already been signed by the United States and Iran. White House officials have been giving some details about the Iran deal. They say the Strait of Hormuz will re-open on Friday - the same day the deal is formally signed in Geneva - with shipping traffic increasing gradually. Also on the programme: A wave of Russian strikes on Ukraine has killed ten people and badly damaged one of Kyiv's most sacred and historic cathedrals, we hear from historian and archaeologist Maksym Ostapenko; and scientists have found a new way to detect microplastics in the living tissue of our bodies with a laser, we speak to medical imaging lecturer Stephen Patrick, who led the research. President Trump announces on his 80th birthday - Flag Day - that the US has signed a peace deal with Iran and that the Strait of Hormuz is open for business. Crude oil prices plummet. Spencer Pratt drops the mother of all ads and announces he has video evidence that will make Karen Bass and/or Nithya Raman disqualifiable candidates for LA mayor. This is WAR, he says. The billionaires on the All In Podcast dig into LA's sketchy election results and make a stunning admission: We are living in a Matrix - and voting is really just purposeful theatre.
Perhaps the President's biggest accomplishment over the weekend didn't even happen here in America as the US military bombs and kills the head of the notorious Tren de Aragua gang. Ukraine is now looking to buddy up to Trump and make a deal as Tulsi Gabbard's bombshell Friday night about 130 US-funded biolabs Fauci/Psaki/Garland & Co. lied about for years creates waves across DC. Former White House stenographer Mike McCormick reveals the key information that you won't be able to find at Barack Obama's hideous new library.
Donald Trump used his 80th birthday to put on an abhorrent spectacle at the White House and distract from his complete failure in Iran. Steve Schmidt breaks down why this conflict was a pointless defeat and why Donald Trump has lost more than the war. Detransitioning, a term for stopping, shifting, or reversing an initial gender transition, is a word that has been stripped of its human meaning by the political forces fighting over it. Last week, I shared my interview with Dr. Kinnon Ross MacKinnon, a trans researcher at York University whose landmark DARE study surveyed 957 people who had detransitioned. MacKinnon's data show that the detransitioners he interviewed are not a single monolith with identical motivations, but rather four distinct groups with distinct sets of needs. Despite this emerging research, the Trump administration now attempts to justify banning care for everyone, a flagrant distortion of what the science shows we should do to support those who are both transgender and those who wish to detransition. During our discussions, MacKinnon recommended I speak with Alexander Linkowski, whom he described as a thoughtful voice from inside the detransition experience. Alexander is a 32-year-old philosopher, transhumanist, and YouTuber based in Norway. He lived as a trans woman for approximately three years before detransitioning and is currently completing a book on detransition and identity. He realized he was neurodiverse. Alexander's story is not political ammunition for either side. It is one person's vulnerable story, told with honesty and philosophical depth, and it deserves to be heard on its own terms. Alexander grew up in Poland, a deeply conservative Catholic country where 1950s ideals of masculinity and femininity shaped sex education. He described being bullied at school and told repeatedly he was “not a real man,” feeling profound discomfort in his body from early childhood, something he now understands as connected to his autism diagnosis, which he received as an adult. Living within a homophobic society, Alexander also described deep shame around his attraction to other males, buried for years. “Everything led me to believe that life would be easier, life would be better, if I lived socially as a woman.” He transitioned medically and socially at 19. Based on the DARE study, Alexander's experience maps closely onto what MacKinnon describes as the first pathway to detransition. These are people who detransitioned with strong decisional regret, who often reported that their clinical care was not thorough enough, and fewer than half of whom felt they received adequate decision-making support before they began. McShane and Fitz open a rough week Trump's massive “UFC Freedom 250” flex on the National Mall, World Cup flopping/acting, and Knicks/Spurs drama with NYC-style rioting. They hit the Karmelo Anthony guilty verdict and torch the rage-bait grift, clickbait, and Jasmine Crockett's tone-deaf spin. Abroad, a Sudanese migrant's attempted beheading of a special-needs man ignites Belfast riots while media blames “far-right agitators.” As a much-needed timeline cleanse, Freddy from Germany cruises across America for the World Cup, losing his mind over Buc-ee's, Bass Pro, Waffle House, gators, and the simple joy of state-to-state freedom. They also cover SpaceX's IPO (Elon as “trillionaire”), AI satellites, a suspicious Medline warehouse fire, Jefe's brutal Armored Bush Cricket farm report, and Tulsi Gabbard claiming 120 US-funded biolabs in 30 countries.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/razor-wire-news--5683729/support.www.razorwirenews.com
The UFC 250 DM scandal involving Daniel Cormier and Eric Trump sits at the center of the episode after alleged Instagram messages surfaced suggesting requests for UFC betting intel ahead of fights at the White House, with screenshots posted and then deleted as both sides deny authenticity and claim hacking, fueling debate over whether the story is real or fabricated. The crew also reacts to the Knicks winning the NBA championship and what that result means for how the season is being interpreted, along with World Cup criticism focused on hydration breaks and concerns that the tournament has felt underwhelming so far. Jacob Gramegna is joined by Rob Pizzola, Geoff Fienberg, and Jason Cooper on Circles Off, part of The Hammer Betting Network, as they break down the biggest sports betting and sports media stories of the week with sharp debate and differing perspectives across the panel.

President Trump and Iran separately announced an agreement to end more than three months of war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz. For more on what could come of the deal, we hear from Jon Finer, a former adviser to President Biden who helped negotiate the Obama administration's deal to restrict Iran's nuclear program. Then, a major Russian attack overnight set fire to a historic monastery complex in Kyiv and killed at least four people. It's the latest barrage by Russia, which launched 611 long-range drones and 70 missiles, according to Ukraine's Air Force. The Foreign Policy Research Institute's Rob Lee shares the latest from the front lines in Ukraine. And, a viral joke led to an Irish pub in Scotland becoming an Ivory Coast pub for the World Cup. Greg Kelly Reports | June 12, 2026 - The episode centers on the UFC's unprecedented White House event, framing it as a major cultural moment that blends sports, politics, patriotism, and spectacle on President Trump's birthday. - Elon Musk's rise to trillionaire status becomes a second major theme, with the show highlighting the SpaceX IPO, the scale of Musk's wealth, and his broader role in reshaping technology, energy, transportation, and space exploration. - The discussion contrasts America's energy weakness in the 1970s with its current strength as a top oil exporter, using that shift to argue that U.S. power, production, and leverage are back in a way critics never expected. - Spencer Pratt's Los Angeles mayoral bid is treated as a political insurgency worth watching, with the show casting him as a disruptive outsider still targeting corruption, bureaucracy, and progressive city leadership even after the election setback. - The episode closes on the Karmelo Anthony case, condemning the online harassment of Austin Metcalf's family and using the reaction to the murder conviction as another example of moral breakdown, race-based grievance politics, and a culture that increasingly excuses the indefensible.
