Ray Witbeck first began birding at 17 while working at a Scout Camp in the Sierra Nevada mountains where he taught merit badges in a nature department. Combining his interests in birds, love for history and being a voice talent, and also drawing from his many years as an executive recruiter, Ray thought to preserve the actual voices of those who have been a part of the birding community by offering these short interviews. These conversations offer a window into its history and early players.
