COUNTRY MUSIC SINGER | SONGWRITER - Amy Rose is a 2013 Country Music Association of Ontario and 2013 Independent Country Music Association Award Nominee. Amy grew up in Barrie, Ontario, Canada, where she began her singing career at the age of five. Her first public performance was in a singing contest at a local fair, followed by a series of singing competitions and has mastered the art of yodeling. Amy’s first album entitled "One Special Girl" was released independently when she was only thirteen years old. Her 2nd album "The Last of the True Believers" was released in 2001 receiving lots of airplay and earning her the reputation as one of Canada’s best young female artists. Amy continues to successfully inspire live audiences and Nashville has begun to whisper in this northern girl’s ear. Her latest song entitled "Party Like A Redneck" has garnered rave reviews and will be one of the tracks on her 3rd album entitled "The Beginning" dropping October 2013. Another notable track on the album is called “I Just Want You To Know” which is a pop-country cover of a song which was originally supposed to be recorded by the Backstreet Boys. Having released her first album at the age of 13, country artist Amy Rose has made the country charts in her decade's long career. Having released her first album at the age of 13, country artist Amy Rose has made the country charts in her decade's long career. We talk to Rose about her humble beginning and how her music has evovled over the years.
Amy's first album, One Special Girl, was released independently, when she was 13. On the strength of this album, she landed a spot on Dorian Baxter's Gospelenium Tour, opening for Joni and Cathy Twitty, the daughters of her then-idol, Conway Twitty. Other openers for The Wilkinsons, Emerson Drive and High Valley followed. Her 2nd album, The Last of the True Believers, was released in 2001, receiving airplay, and earning her the reputation as one of Canada's best young female artists. Sylvia has taught at Hahnemann University and has more than 30 years' experience applying her expertise in human behavior and relationships to organizational environments. She is a highly regarded executive coach and leadership educator, having worked with all levels of organizational leadership with major global corporations, family firms, entrepreneurs, start-ups, and non-profit organizations. Her book “Don't Bring It to Work” had won numerous awards including being a TOP 20 BOOK FOR EMERGING LEADERS. Her new book “GUTSY: How Women Leaders Make Change
