Join us this week as we dive into a powerful conversation with Maggie Albrow, a special education teacher who brings a unique perspective to autism. Diagnosed herself and raising two children on the spectrum, she shares practical parenting strategies that anyone can use to better understand their child's needs, whether or not they have autism. We'll explore how her ISTJ personality shapes her approach and dive into her son's ISTP traits, showing how personality and autism intersect to create unique parenting paths. Plus, we'll break down the differences between high-functioning autism and a naturally withdrawn personality, offering valuable insights for parents looking to support and connect with their kids on a deeper level." My son Nathan demonstrated some symptoms when he was younger but as an adult he graduated magna cum laude with a pre med degree and  he is about to take the MCAT exam to get into med school. Here are some of those symptoms: Highly repetitive behaviors, such as hand-flapping, rocking, or repeating specific phrases. Unusual responses to sensory input, such as covering ears in noisy environments or fascination with particular textures. Limited eye contact or unusual speech patterns (e.g., very literal or highly scripted language). Difficulty with reciprocal social interactions, like sharing enjoyment or showing empathy in conventional ways. Many people on the autism spectrum tend to score as introverts (I types) on MBTI. Introversion doesn't cause or correlate with autism directly, but the inclination toward internal processing can align with certain experiences of autistic individuals, who may feel overstimulated by social interactions or need time alone to recharge. Social and Communication Challenges: People with autism may find it difficult to interpret social cues, understand nonverbal communication, or initiate and maintain conversations. Fe in backseat, especially INTPs. Repetitive Behaviors and Routines: Many individuals engage in repetitive behaviors, have strong preferences for routines, and may experience distress if these routines are disrupted. BEST OF TST (9/17/25) Music Magic Muses: Sirens Glycon Mamushi

The Secret Teachings

Play Episode Listen Later May 18, 2025 120:01

BEST OF: The 2024 MTV VMA was another example of a powerful religious-cult operating through entertainment to influence society. Taylor Swift was awarded Video of the Year, Sabrina Carpenter won Song of the Year, Katy Perry won the Vanguard Award and performed a gravity defying song, and Megan Thee Stallion performed Mamushi with Yuki Chiba. Swift has stayed in the news for her endorsement of Kamala Harris, and when winning her aware she thanked her boyfriend Travis Kelce who may also now be encouraged to endorse Harris - recall other were involved with ERAS-ERIS, the goddess of discord. But Taylor Swift isn't as powerful as she may seem, certainly not to make her own decisions. Not only has she called out the Soros family for stripping her of music rights but most of her music itself is written by someone else. Jack Antonoff was behind ‘Look What You Made Me Do', and countless other songs not to mention his work with Lana Del Rey, Aaron Dessner was behind Willow, and countless other songs, and both Max Martin and his protege Shellback contribute heavily to her discography. People like Martin have been operating in the music industry for decades, writing dozens of hits - 26 Number One hits - for everyone from the Backstreet Boys and Brittany Spears (Hit Me Baby One More Time), to Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift. Further, he obtains the lyrics and beats through a sort of channeling. Even Elton John does this through mixing word cutouts to write songs. In the world of comics we find an equivalent character in Alan Moore, a magician behind iconic works like V For Vendetta and Watchmen. Moore is also open about his worship of a Greco-Roman snake god named Glycon, a deity of oracle and moneymaking. The difference between obtaining influence from the MUSES or power from unconscious DEMONS is what the byproduct of the contract is: beauty or ugliness. The song Mamushi features the profaning of and degrading not of America but of Japan, as Thee Stallion encourages Japanese girls to be promiscuous and lure men to their death. In the song, Megan literally is naked on a rock like a Siren, in a sacred Onsen, where she then pollutes the purifying water and transforms into a Mamushi snake to kill a man. A 2023 song by Sabrina Carpenter was filmed in a church and her video was so perverse and disgusting the priests had to re-bless the altar when she left. These images are far different than the music, sculptures, and paintings of artists throughout history. Perry's VMA performance featured the arch of hysteria from witchcraft, a portal, and we assume from the other side came an alien who Sabrina Carpenter kissed on television. *The is the FREE archive, which includes advertisements. Luckily, Maggie is joined by Amanda's brother/Maggie's husband this week to make sense of a doozy of a filler episode. There's Patton Oswald! There's Brian Baumgartner! There's drama with a conservatorship, and some more flashbacks from Ted's time in LA before he made the big move to west coast entertainment law.  But mostly, there's a grave mistake that colors the entire episode, and it's Maggie's completely false assertation that Tearin' Up My Heart was written by the Backstreet Boys when it was actually written by N*Sync. I Did It Again" im Jahr 2000 ihr zweites Album herausgebracht. I Did It Again" raus. I Did It Again" hagelt es Platin- und sogar Diamantauszeichnungen. I Did It Again" für viele Jahre ein Fundament im Musikgeschäft gegossen. Welcome to Season SEVEN of Encore with brand new host, Ruby Carr! Boy bands - they really don’t get much cred for being musicians, performers, and entertainers, am i right? From the Jackson 5 in the mid-1960s to the current global phenomenon that is K-pop, boy bands have been a big moneymaker in music for decades now. But at the same time, they have also been subjected to plenty of ridicule, disparagement and even hatred while girl groups like Destiny’s Child, Spice Girls and TLC have earned respect and admiration for their empowering and inspirational music. Some even say that the 'Boy Band' was essentially a music industry creation with the sole purpose of capitalizing on the love and devotion of young girls and their allowances. The boys in these bands were almost always reduced to being puppets to just sing and dance to music that was mostly written, recorded and - to use a dirty industry term - “manufactured” by professional songwriters and musicians. This music was designed to be a perfect product that girls of the tween and teen variety couldn’t resist. HOWEVER… there is one song that goes against the grain, that breaks all the rules, and for the past quarter century that has been an exception to everything I just said. It is a song that had the likes of grown men like Adam Sandler, Paul Rudd, Jerry Seinfeld and Jon Hamm singing along to it on live television like true stans when it was performed at the Saturday Night Live 50th anniversary concert this past February. It has been used countless times in movies and TV shows, covered, sampled and parodied to no end. Let's face it, because you can’t deny it, it is the one true boy band song that virtually everyone on Earth gives a pass to - Even more so, it’s a song that everyone flat out loves - whether they will admit it or not. That song is “I Want It That Way” by Backstreet Boys. With Newly Unearthed audio from the Backstreet Boys & a NEW Interview with Howie D!

Send us a textRey Roldan stops by the podcast to talk about being Britney's Publicist, Interviewing Kurt Cobain, an interesting encounter with Bono, Fandom, and so much more.********Rey has seen a lot… and I mean A LOT. Twenty-six plus years as a publicist (since 1995) and a few years before that as a nationally published entertainment journalist, he's been around. Backstage, on the tour bus, in the hotel rooms, behind closed doors, in the conference room… he's witnessed almost all… but there's undoubtedly more that he hasn't seen.  But it hasn't shocked him. In fact, it's intrigued him… challenged him… and at times, offered myriad choices of how to react and how to process. And that's the thing… nothing shocks him. Starting his journey into the lion's den that is the music industry, he was a journalist for a number of newspapers, magazines, and regionals across the country (and one or two overseas). He's interviewed Kurt Cobain, U2, Joey Ramone, Sinead O'Connor, Bjork, Polly Jean Harvey… oh, and Vanilla Ice… While journalism was his passion, it didn't quite pay the bills, especially in Boston. So he moved to NYC and jumped into Publicity. IRS Records, Mammoth Records, Grass Records, Jive/Silvertone/Zomba, KSA Publicity/Press Here, Island Def Jam… He worked with Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, Hanson, Duran Duran, Sting, Brooks & Dunn, O Brother Where Are Thou?, Juliana Hatfield, Diana Ross, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Dresden Dolls, Charlotte Church, among hundreds of others.  He did the label (indie and major) and indie PR thing but he was burnt out on doing publicity like a pre-defined template that labels determined, so he left the corporate world to start his own shingle with a focus on building profiles and strategies that weren't constrained by hard, constrained blueprints. In 2004, Reybee Inc. was born. Instead of sticking to templates, he and his team of professionals craft unique strategies to build solid foundations and build up from there, creating campaigns that focus on constructing artist careers that go beyond. His campaigns go forward and sideways, and rarely backwards (unless, of course, we're talking retrospectives, which, in that case, they go backwards too).Nearly two decades later, it's still going strong… in fact, it keeps growing… and growing… and growing. This includes producing concerts and/or representing as a longtime agent for artists such as Usher, Prince, Diana Ross, Teena Marie, Chaka Khan, the Backstreet Boys - among othersThen there's the fine line between the grind in the streets and the hustle in the industry.  Mark battled with con artists, drug dealers and pimps and people trying to show off their local high profile at the expense of his artists. “I didn't get too caught up in that because I had to keep one eye on the money!” He stayed focused, even when distractions of every kind showed up on the road–drugs, groupies, out-of-control artists–and he kept many ships afloat when everything should have drowned.  But again, the show must go on. Mark's stellar reputation put him in high demand and working with Melba and soon Freddie Jackson, Dru Hill, Al B Sure, Grandmaster Flash, a young Usher and music pioneer Prince solidified his reputation in the industry. He would join Associated Booking Corp, where his talent for spotting rising stars and his love for hip-hop led to the signing of such game-changing artists as Salt-N-Pepa, Roxanne Shante, Kid & Play, and DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince.  He would go on to become Director of Marketing at EMI/Capitol Records and expanded again, this time into radio, promotions, and into the fields of jazz and rap, earning accolades in promotions and even producing, writing, and publishing successful tracks like "Remember the First Time" for singer Eric Gable and "Midnight Hour" for rapper Lady Spice MC.  Green moved as the industry moved and found himself in independent marketing and promotions consulting and secured a record deal with Light Year/Warner Brothers for his independent label, with singer/songwriter and R&B legend Teena Marie as his first artist. A year later, working with  Northstar Distribution, Green became General Manager, distributing music for Prince's independent label, where the purple one signed R&B music siren Chaka Khan and the soul-stirrer and crooner Larry Graham  on the artist's NPG Records. Soon, shaping his own destiny, Green launched Celebrity Talent Agency, representing a wide array of artists, where he's secured talents for tours, festivals and commercials nationally and globally.  Ever-expanding his vision, Green also serves as Associate Director/General Manager of Lehman Performing Arts Center, Chairman of Artist Relations for The Hip-Hop Museum (THHM), and maintains ownership of Celebrity Talent Agency.  The Show Must Go On! His riveting story of the industry's ups and downs and his own personal experiences will inspire anybody who believes in themselves to believe that they can live their wildest dreams!© 2025 Building Abundant Success!!2025 All Rights ReservedHeart Media @ https://tinyurl.com/iHeartBASAmazon ~ https://tinyurl.com/AmzBASAudacy:  https://tinyurl.com/BASAud

You'll learn: ✅ Why NTs need mental stimulation to feel connected ✅ What makes them loyal (and what pushes them away) ✅ Why emotions can feel like a foreign language ✅ How NTs support friends in practical—but often overlooked—ways Whether you're an NT yourself or have one in your life, this episode offers clarity, humor, and powerful takeaways to strengthen your friendships with the thinkers and strategists of the world.     Set up a FREE Chat: https://wendygossett.as.me/ChatwithWendy Take my FREE child temperament test:  https://wendygossett.com/child-inner-drive-assessment-product/ Request a FREE Adult Temperament/Enneagram/Instincts Test: https://wendygossett.com/ Website: Wendy Gossett.com Get FREE resources on my website: https://wendygossett.com/ or email me at WendyGossett.com Facebook Podcast Page: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61565445936367 Book: Your Child's Inner Drive:Parenting by Personality from Toddlers to Teens on Amazon or  https://wendygossett.com/product/your-childs-inner-drive-parenting-by-personality-for-toddlers-to-teens/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaaOCjoDyOk4_gS1KCncLvQ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/wendy.gossett/?next=%2F Linked In: www.linkedin.com/in/wendygossett Wendy Gossett helps parents understand their children by using temperament psychology and neuroscience. She has over 10,000 hours of experience in education, both in the classroom and corporate sector. Even though she holds a Master's degree in education, she struggled to understand her neurodivergent and oppositional kids.  Inspired by her experience using Myers Briggs and the Enneagram with business teams, she spent over a decade researching temperament pattens to help family teams. She is a best-selling author and host of the Not So Normal Parenting podcast.   Her podcast is entitled Not So Normal Parenting because not only are she and her kids neurodivergent but some of her life experiences, such as driving off a cliff her wedding night and going viral for embarrassing her seventeen-year old son by dancing on a snowy and jammed interstate, fall into that category. In addition to being talked about by Hoda Kotb, the BackStreet Boys, and Princess Kate, even U2 singer Bono mentioned the incident in his autobiography.   Because Wendy herself has struggled as a helicopter parent, a cranky parent and an embarrassing parent, she wants to help other parents struggle……..a little bit less!
