Mark Brownell is a Toronto-based playwright and co-artistic director of the Pea Green Theatre Group with his wife, Sue Miner.He is the author of a number of plays, including Monsieur D'Eon is a Woman, which was nominated for a Governor General's Award. Their goal was to bring a wide variety of stories and characters to appreciative audiences across Canada. Since their inception, they have received 15 Dora Award nominations, which is an award presented annually by the Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts that honors theatre, dance, and opera productions in Toronto.
