The complicated issue regarding the old Rock Island County Courthouse continues between the county and the groups that want to preserve it. County board members Don Johnston and Drue Mielke joined AM Quad Cities.
Landmarks Illinois works to preserve spaces in the state that they feel have layers of history. The membership-based nonprofit organization has played a role in trying to save the Rock Island County Courthouse by posting a $336,000 bond.
