On this special game day edition of The Mark White Show, I'm joined by Drew and Abby Stutts of Freed-Hardeman University. This story began with a message from a proud dad in the Shoals, Miles Stutts, who simply wanted to share what his children were accomplishing. That message led to a conversation about family, leadership, and a season that may be historic. Both Drew and Abby led their teams to number one seeds in the NAIA National Tournament, something we're being told may be the first time for one school, and possibly the first time a brother and sister have achieved it together. Now, the story meets real life. Abby's season has come to an end after an incredible run, while Drew's team advances to the quarterfinals. In this conversation, they share their journey, the role their family played in shaping them, what it means to lead young people, and how they handle both success and disappointment. This is more than a basketball story. It's a story about impact, perspective, and purpose. Real stories. Real people. Real impact. News That Unites!™️

The US-Israeli war against Iran may have been initiated without any coherently stated goals or popular support, but we can already see that it's a horrific quagmire. It also doesn't look like Trump and Israel will get the swift Iranian regime change they hoped for. The "Off the Screen" crew isn't holding back this week as they dissect Bam Adebayo's 83-point performance, a feat that looks impressive on paper but feels a lot more like "unethical basketball" when you look at the tape. With a staggering 43 free-throw attempts and a blatant team-wide effort to hunt for a record during a blowout, the hosts question if we've reached a breaking point in the NBA's obsession with milestones. They compare the night to Kobe's 81 and Wilt's 100, concluding that while Bam has clearly evolved into an aggressive offensive threat, the "Wizards humiliation ritual" was more about manufactured stats than competitive greatness. It's a messy look for the league, especially when the losing team's fans are essentially cheering for their own destruction to expedite a "process."The conversation shifts from individual drama to the league's structural identity crisis. The crew argues that the NBA has a massive marketing problem: it leans too heavily on individual stars while letting historic team rivalries wither. In this episode, Allen Williams shares the powerful story of how a historic ice storm devastated his regenerative farm in Mississippi and the lessons that emerged from the experience. The conversation explores the realities of managing livestock through extreme weather, the importance of preparedness, and the resilience required to keep a farm operating when infrastructure fails. Allen also reflects on the deeper meaning of community support, faith, and the role regenerative agriculture can play in helping landscapes better withstand climate extremes. Through hardship and recovery, this episode highlights both the vulnerability and the strength of modern regenerative farming systems.
Around the world, young adults are finding community, discovering their divine identity and deepening their conversion to Jesus Christ by attending institute classes. This year marks the 100th anniversary of Institutes of Religion, an education program of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Institute began in one building in 1926 near the University of Idaho and is now a worldwide program with more than 2,700 locations in more than 170 countries. Brother Chad H Webb, administrator for Seminaries and Institutes of Religion and the first counselor in the Sunday School general presidency, said young adults can be "part of something historic" in this centennial year. He and Yaw Danso, an associate administrator for Seminaries and Institutes, join Church News reporter Mary Richards on this episode of the Church News podcast.

Sometimes the most remarkable pieces of history are hidden inside everyday places. One such place is the Antica Farmacia Reale, located in the historic center of Rome near the Spanish Steps. What makes this pharmacy extraordinary is not simply its age, although it is certainly old. What makes it truly remarkable is that it is still operating today as a fully functioning pharmacy. The Antica Farmacia Reale can document its history back to 1672, which is already extraordinary for a commercial establishment that is still operating today. What makes this claim especially compelling is that Giulio possesses a series of original documents tracing the pharmacy's ownership from that time forward. These records show the pharmacy passing from one owner to another across centuries, creating a rare and continuous historical record. Giulio has spent years studying these documents and researching the pharmacy's past, and although he continues to search for earlier records, the documentation he already possesses clearly demonstrates the longevity of this remarkable establishment.

How will the Huskers respond after a disappointing exit Friday in the Big Ten Tournament to eventual champions Purdue? Nebraska faces Troy Thursday morning. What do the Sun Belt Champions bring to the court and how what are possible mismatches on both sides of the floor? The Huskers face the Trojans Thursday morning from Oklahoma City and chase history. A win will get the proverbial monkey off of the back of the men's basketball program. A loss, should it occur, will mean a singularly disappointing moment in the annals of Husker athletics. Dutch political economist Kees van der Pijl analyzes the volatile shifting of global power, focusing on the Middle East conflict involving Israel, Iran, and the U.S. He argues Israel has superseded the EU in the Atlantic relationship with the U.S., leading to a strategy where the U.S. increasingly fights wars to benefit Israeli interests. Van der Peel explores the possibility of false flag operations and the use of technological control systems to manage domestic populations through a state of permanent emergency. He also suggests hypersonic missile technology and drone warfare have fundamentally altered military superiority, potentially signaling the decline of Western imperial dominance. Furthermore, the discussion touches on the historical context of Israeli investments in global IT and intelligence sectors as a means of maintaining geopolitical leverage. Overarching themes include popular resistance in Europe and the emergence of a new multipolar world order led by BRICS. Discover what it takes to raise over $3 billion in capital and revitalize more than $2 billion worth of historic skyscrapers and iconic city blocks. In this episode, Tom “The Skyscraperguy” Liravongsa, managing partner of Landmark Collection, shares the remarkable journey that took him from starting a fund with negative $10,000 on a credit card to acquiring and restoring landmark skyscrapers across major U.S. cities. Tom reveals how mastering institutional underwriting, understanding the mechanics of syndication, and thinking beyond “the zeros” allowed him to transition from trading derivatives to orchestrating massive real estate projects. He also explains why skyscrapers—assets once reserved for institutional players—are becoming accessible to new investors, how large-scale developments create powerful economies of scale, and why cities and density provide a unique form of market insulation during economic disruptions. For investors and entrepreneurs who want to think bigger about capital raising, deal structuring, and transformative real estate opportunities, this conversation delivers insights you won't hear anywhere else. 5 Key Takeaways from the EpisodeCapital Raising Is the Core of Commercial Real Estate Tom explains that at its core, commercial real estate is about syndication—raising capital, finding deals investors believe in, and executing them together. Institutional Knowledge Creates Massive Advantage By underwriting billions in real estate projects while working with European investors, Tom learned how institutional capital flows and used that knowledge to scale his own deals. Large Deals Can Reduce Risk Through Scale While skyscraper projects involve large numbers, Tom argues that economies of scale, performance bonds, and professional teams can actually mitigate risk compared to smaller projects. Skyscrapers Offer Unique Market Insulation Because they exist in dense urban centers where economic activity is concentrated, skyscraper assets can benefit from strong demand, higher rents, and greater government support during crises. Retail Investors Can Participate in Institutional Deals Through modern fundraising methods, social media reach, and flexible deal structures, Tom is opening access to skyscraper investments that were historically limited to institutional capital.
