Today on America’s National Parks, two roads that taught the National Park Service some of the major lessons that have been applied to park design over the past century: Trail Ridge Road and Old Fall River Road in Rocky Mountain National Park.

The other fire is burning in the Forest Canyon area below Trail Ridge Road between Rock Cut and Forest Canyon overlook, according to a news release. - Ground and aerial crews will fight the fires Friday.
