Accessibility is so important for persons with disabilities. However, it is more than accessibility - it is accessing abilities. It is about finding those tools that make a difference. The built-in tools that are available on our Mac computers and mobile devices can open up the world of possibilities for learners with diverse needs. This Keynote presentation showcases users doing amazing things once they have access these technologies. It allows them access to their education, their world, and their dreams.

Teachers are often challenged with engaging students in their lesson. On the other hand, students are often frustrated with their lack of participation. Christopher demonstrates the way in which he and his students collaborate to create an individualized learning environment where everyone is an integral part of the learning process. His instructional strategy of facilitating learning provides his students the opportunity to use creativity and innovation, communication and collaboration, research, critical thinking, problem solving, decision-making, concepts and technology operations to master content.

Having specialized in medieval literature, medieval pedagogies, and literary theory, Rankin has long been interested in the trajectory of teaching and learning and the impact technologies can have as they enable new participants to influence culture and society.
