Divinity School Opening and Closing Convocations

The Divinity School’s 2008 Opening Convocation on Aug. 26 included preaching by Dean L. Gregory Jones and a Service of Dedication for the new Goodson Chapel Organ. Duke President Richard H. Professor Amy Laura Hall, also director of Duke Divinity School’s Th.D. program, delivered the homily “Some Ravens, a Widow, and the Strange Goodness of God,” at the school’s closing convocation service on April 19, 2007. Dean L. Gregory Jones was the presiding minister and celebrant at the school’s 80th closing convocation.
