Federal Food Crawl

We visit Tacos El Paisa to eat tacos and drink shots out of cucumbers.

We visit New Saigon, a sit down Vietnamese restaurant that boasts being the first to serve authentic Vietnamese food in Denver. We wade through the enormous menu and highlight some of our favorite items.

Cash only at this casual dine-in or take-out steak house. Choose your steak, choose your potato, and choose your salad dressing. We relax in the lounge with cocktails and chat about the no-frills, fun atmosphere.

Tonight the snow was coming down hard, but it didn't stop us from warming up with some spicy Thai food at J's Noodles. The name may change each time they print a new menu, but the food remains consistently delicious. J's Noodle Star Thai 2 945 S Federal Blvd.

It's cold in Denver so we warm up with some delicious pho noodle soup on Tony Pho. We talk through the Vietnamese egg roll experience, the history of pho, and whether durian fruit smoothies are good or totally foul.

This month we kick back at the Federal Bar and Grill for an American-style brunch. We talk about the history of this long-time Denver establishment and play some board games.

This month we visit Super Carniceria Compare - a grocery store on Federal Boulevard with an unique deli counter where we order a variety of plates.
