Christina Jobe and Katie Forest are both passionate about social issues and have had countless open conversations about the different issues for years. They're both educated, have worked in education and social services, are open to always learning more, and understanding the world around them a little better. What they don't have in common is Christina is biracial (black and white) and Katie is a white woman with very different upbringings. In todays social climate they realized that the conversations they were having are something that needed to include others. "Social issues like racism and classism can be scary topics for people to discuss for fear of judgement, or being labeled. We are giving listeners an opportunity to hear about issues in different contexts and encourage our listeners to comment, ask questions and propose topics you'd like to hear about in regards to inequality in America via the comment section or by email. We are hoping that with these important discussions and a safe space of anonymity (to those that seek it), we can change some of the perceptions about these topics, even if that perception is one of ours."We also would love to have guests so if you have something to share in regards to social issues and inequality let's connect and get you scheduled to join in a discussion.

Christina

As always it's a wild ride so hang on to your hats and listen in. You never know what is going to come out of our mouths...it may not always be PC but it is always the realist conversation possible. Join Katie and I (Christina here) as we reconnect after an election break. We always discuss heavy topics involving inequality in the US in our own fashion with passion and humor. We have a ton to talk about so we dive right into the 2020 election, voter suppression being alive and well and the fatigue that can bring on at the moment. With the election, BLM and COVID 19 still looming it's getting everybody down and it can all be overwhelming. It's okay to not know everything but it's never okay to stop growing into a better human.
