A week ago I embarked on an journey to Washington DC once again to support our President. I was invited by my friend Erica to stay and share a room with her, husband and my new BFF Dynamite Debbie. We instantly bonded the moment I walked through that door. There were 12 of us all together , that were compromised of people that roughly didn't know each other that well. It truly is remarkable how powerful the heart of a patriot is, we faced several potentially dangerous encounters throughout the weekend, and each person was prepared to hold the line for each other no matter what. If you are trying to tell me that POTUS goal is to divide the country, he has failed miserably because there are 12 people that were brought together that can never be torn apart. I will never get over all that has been gained through these troubling times. I believe one of the most powerful things that have emerged in the mist of this is the countless friendships. I met Anne, believe it or not on Facebook. We had a conversation about everything going on in our country, and we made a connection and our friendship was born. Even though we may essentially be strangers to each other, theres one thing that makes us closer than anything. We are patriots! God works in mysterious ways. I was on Facebook, while giving a testimony on the #WalkAway page. I connected with Jodee and we have been best of buds ever since. Even though she may not love POTUS the exact way that I do, it doesn't put a boundary on our friendship. At the end of the day we can agree on one thing for sure, and that is the best shot we have as continuing growth in our nation can only be accomplished with the leadership of Donald J Trump. We believe that you can dislike the man in the seat, but you have to acknowledge the countless policies that he has put in place to shift America for the better. I have had hurdles all throughout my life, and my dear friend is no stranger to hurdles herself. She is a single mother that created a business that is heavily dominated by men, with no hand outs. Teri is living proof that the color of your skin will not guarantee you any opportunity and it surely wouldn't prevent you from one. My name is Mark Henley.I'm a black American born and raised from New Jersey. I grew up in a Christian household, that came with a ton of challenges. I didn't have a close relationship with my parents or my siblings. It drifted me into a feeling of isolation over the years. I lived in about every County in South jersey, we finally landed in Cherry HILL New Jersey. We didn't have much as we lived in a wealthy town. I was constantly bullied for wearing hand me down clothes with holes in my sneakers.This abuse came from everyone, especially black people I knew who were generally wealthy through their lives. At that moment I realized that my skin color couldn't determine who I'am. I received my voting eligibility during George Bush's second term. I remember asking my father who I should vote for, and my father told me there was only one choice.If your are black you vote democrat. At that moment I realized that I had to do my own research and think for myself. I was more dormant about my views, but now I feel that I have to be more vocal to be the bridge to bring people together.
