New York City will pick its next mayor on Tuesday. While the Democrat Zohran Mamdani remains the frontrunner, independent Andrew Cuomo has cut into his lead in recent polls. Trailing behind both is Republican Curtis Sliwa. Critics of Sliwa, including many in his own party, say his decision not to drop out of the race despite trailing significantly gives Mamdani an advantage.
