It's a bad time to buy a house. That's what nearly 75% of consumers are saying, according to Fannie Mae's home purchase sentiment index released earlier this week. And that news comes in despite a recent drop in mortgage rates. In hopes of getting homebuilders building again, President Trump has floated the possibility of once again privatizing Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and offering an IPO, which could be one of the largest stock offerings in history. Douglas Holtz-Eakin, economist and the former director of the Congressional Budget Office, joins FOX Business' Gerri Willis to discuss whether it's time for an overhaul of Fannie and Freddie, how complicated it can be, and what else can help the struggling housing market. There has been a great deal of celebration in the Middle East. The two-year-long war between Israel and Hamas appears to be over. And more importantly, the remaining hostages, living and dead, are to come home. It's the result of an agreement forged by American diplomats, President Trump, and Gaza's own Arab and Muslim neighbors. After feeling pressure from countries like Egypt, Turkey, and Qatar and the Trump administration, the Hamas terror group, which ruled Gaza and attacked Israel on October 7th, 2025, has agreed to the deal. Yuval David, actor and Jewish activist, joins the Fox News Rundown: Evening Edition to discuss the deal, the future of the Middle East, and the surge of antisemitism that he's witnessed since the war between Israel and Hamas began over two years ago. Nadales explained how Antifa is organized and how they try to intimidate those they disagree with, He also explained why he left the movement and why he believes they should be designated as a terrorist organization. This past week, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth addressed top U.S. commanders at the Marine Base in Quantico, Virginia, calling for a renewed focus on discipline and elevated standards in basic training. He complained that the military has spent the past few years putting too much focus on being “politically correct” or “woke”. He announced that the mindset was coming to an end. Earlier this week, Retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel Bob Maginnis joined FOX News Rundown host Dave Anthony to share his take on the speech and weigh in on Sec. Hegseth's plan to restore higher military standards. Maginnis agreed with the need to focus less on ‘political correctness' and put more emphasis on readiness. The military analyst also discusses the multiple global threats our military is facing and how our country must adapt to the coming national security threats that artificial intelligence advancements will bring. In the ongoing blame-game over who is responsible for the government shutdown, Republicans have become relentless in who they see as the main obstacle and what his motives are. Republicans in Congress, and Vice President J.D. Vance, say that Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer's concerns over a possible 2028 primary challenge from far-left darling Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, has pushed him to convince Senate Democrats to defeat the GOP government funding bill. Meanwhile, the House will be out of D.C. all of next week on newly planned 'district work period'. FOX's Eben Brown speaks with Yemisi Egbewole, former Chief of Staff and Advisor to the Biden White House Press Office, who says Senator Schumer has had a history of failing in negotiations with Republicans. Rachel Dratch joins Ophira Eisenberg to talk about raising her 13-year-old son Eli, reflecting on how his confident, social personality contrasts with her own bookish teen years. She recalls once assuming she wouldn't have children, only to be surprised when a channeler predicted she'd meet someone and have one child—a prophecy that eerily came true when she met Eli's father months later and became pregnant at 44. Rachel discusses the challenges of managing screen time, joking about how her hierarchy of goals slid from “read a book” to “at least watch TV instead of TikTok shorts.” She shares how Eli's friendships overlap with the kids of fellow SNL alums Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, and Emily Spivey, and how he joined her as her date to the Tony Awards when she was nominated for POTUS. The conversation also covers her son's passion for basketball, her abandoned dream of playing cello for him, and Halloween costumes she still brags about years later—including a homemade Doritos bag. A recurring theme is Rachel's mix of skepticism and bemusement around the supernatural, from crystals in her pocket to Eli's deep pronouncement that “time isn't real.” The episode ends with her warning against trampoline parks, after two of Eli's birthday parties ended with ER visits.
