WeChat: China's main social messaging and media app. Forget facebook, instagram and paypal. WeChat is all of those rolled into one and much more. WeChat has group chats which are large group text messages of up to 500 people per group. The group functions as a source of information for everyone in the chat. Anyone can start a chat but maintaning and moderating a mini-community is another thing.
