6/24/26Episode SummaryThe episode tackles how to apply your brand identity to checkout and customer account pages—two areas merchants often neglect and frequently assume they can't control. Scott's core argument is that the jarring hand-off from a polished storefront to a generic, default-looking checkout erodes trust at the highest-intent moment in the funnel, when a browser becomes a buyer, and that visual disconnect costs you in abandoned carts. He explains why this happens: checkout isn't part of your theme. Once a customer hits checkout, Shopify takes over on its own secured infrastructure. The old checkout.liquid approach is now dead—fully retired for Plus stores in August 2025, with standard plans reaching final retirement in August 2026. In its place is Checkout Extensibility and a unified branding system accessed through the checkout and accounts editor, where you "set it once, apply it everywhere" across checkout, thank-you, order status, and account pages. The bulk of the episode is a step-by-step walkthrough aimed at standard plan merchants (Basic, Grow, Advanced), covering what you can control in the editor:Logo — upload a high-res transparent PNG (no SVG), and preview on mobile, not just desktopColor palette — define reusable hex codes, use your boldest color for action buttons, prioritize contrast over flair, and don't skip a visible error-state colorFonts — pick from Shopify's library, but note you can't control font weight on standard plansLayout — header is adjustable; footer layout is Plus-only (and the editor has a bug where it appears editable but doesn't save)Background images — disabled by Shopify as of February 5, 2026, in the header and main content areas (colors still work)Apps — you can add app blocks to thank-you and order status pages, but not the core checkout steps (Plus-only)Customer account pages — branding inherits automatically, but native pages are bare-bones on content, which is the gap his Customer Accounts Toolbox app fillsHe closes with the recommendation to audit the live experience in an incognito window on both desktop and mobile, and a four-point checklist covering logo, colors, typography, and accounts.Show LinksAccount Pages Toolbox - https://apps.shopify.com/account-pages-toolbox Video & Transcripthttps://jadepuma.com/blogs/the-shopify-solutions-podcast/episode-188-store-branding-in-the-checkout-and-account-pages

You know it better than us — the era of experimenting with AI is over. The question isn't whether to use it anymore. It's whether it's actually moving the numbers. In 2026, the winners aren't the teams running clever pilots. They're the ones who've wired AI into the core of their growth engine — into how they find users, activate them, and figure out what those users really want. In this special episode, we're syndicating the Business of Apps London 2026 panel AI in Action: Real-World Use Cases. It's a no-hype look at what's working right now — told through live examples from three people scaling it in practice: Steve Young of App Masters Anton Volovyk of Reface Nathan Hudson of Perceptycs. The panel's topics include: The AI tools actually driving results right now (Claude, n8n) — and where they fit Case study: how Bite Pal's AI creatives were built and scaled Deep dive: producing a 100% AI-generated video ad, start to finish When AI is not the right answer — and the biggest mistakes teams make AI vs. UGC and the changing role of marketing teams in the AI era

Daniel Mahncke and Shawn O'Malley take a deep dive into Copa Holdings — the Panama-based hub-and-spoke airline whose investment case now turns on two of the most debated questions in the stock today: whether Copa is a structural exception to the airline curse — protected by a geography no rival can copy and a cost base only a handful of carriers in the world can match — or whether even the best airline in the Americas eventually gets pulled into the same gravity that has destroyed value for nearly every other carrier. Some investors believe Copa is a structural exception the market consistently underprices because it's lumped in with the broader sector, with a Panama hub at the geographic center of the hemisphere that lets it serve 85 destinations using nothing but single-aisle 737s, a sub-6¢ ex-fuel cost base only Ryanair, Wizz Air, and a couple of others can match, a 99.8% completion rate that turns the "missed flight" tax hammering other carriers into one of Copa's structural cost advantages, and a 38-year CEO who has refused to expand into Europe or chase growth at any price. Join Daniel Mahncke and Shawn O'Malley as they work through whether Copa's hub-and-spoke economics are genuinely uncopiable or just holding off the gravity that has eventually captured nearly every other airline, examine what Copa's structural advantages actually look like in 2026 versus the "all airlines destroy capital" narrative the market still anchors to, and assess whether Copa Holdings deserves a spot in The Intrinsic Value Portfolio. IN THIS EPISODE YOU'LL LEARN: (00:00:00) Intro (00:00:47) Why airlines are such a tough business to be in (00:02:49) What Buffett and other superinvestors think (00:16:05) Why Copa is different than other airlines (00:30:41) How being the best-in-class business can change the investors' outcome (00:36:37) How Copa built its moat (00:55:35) How Copa can defend its moat (01:17:25) Valuation discussion of Copa (01:19:47) Whether Copa is valued attractively (01:22:31) Whether Shawn and Daniel add CPA to the Intrinsic Value Portfolio Disclaimer: Slight discrepancies in the timestamps may occur due to podcast platform differences. The "Big Four News Apps" -- Apple, Google, MSN, and Yahoo! -- have a nasty habit of promoting not just "news" sites, but trashy opinion bins like the Daily Beast, Salon, and Rolling Stone. MRC Free Speech America studied 100 days of GOP primaries, and these "curators" are heavily leaning on negative midterm messages.

IN THIS EPISODE YOU'LL LEARN: (00:00:00) Intro (00:01:35) Why airlines are such a tough business to be in (00:03:55) What Buffett and other superinvestors think (00:16:47) Why Copa is different than other airlines (00:35:58) How being the best-in-class business can change the investors' outcome (00:38:38) How Copa built its moat (01:01:14) How Copa can defend its moat (01:22:37) Valuation discussion of Copa (01:24:36) Whether Copa is valued attractively (01:27:30) Whether Shawn and Daniel add CPA to the Intrinsic Value Portfolio Disclaimer: Slight discrepancies in the timestamps may occur due to podcast platform differences. Are you choosing from peace, or is loneliness choosing for you?In this episode of the Dear Future Husband podcast, Christian Bevere sits down with author and speaker Ashley Hetherington for an honest conversation about singleness, dating, discernment, and becoming the woman God is forming you to be.Together, they talk about why singleness is better than the wrong relationship, how to recognize the difference between a Christian guy and a truly godly man, and why faith talk is not the same as fruit. Ashley shares wisdom from her new book, The Sowing Season, helping women see this season not as a punishment or a pause, but as a time to sow, grow, heal, and prepare with purpose. If you've ever felt like the last single friend, wondered if you're being too picky, or been tempted to settle for an almost-godly guy, this conversation will encourage you to stop wasting your waiting and start trusting what God is growing in you.Pray while you wait with Future Husband, Present Prayers and trust God with your love story with the Dear Future Husband Prayer Journal. We're putting more and more trust into AI. Will it all blend into one app? Today, we're talking to Jacques Klick, Director of Market Strategy & Product Marketing at Sinch. We discuss why the app store era is quietly ending and what replaces it, how a 62% enterprise AI adoption rate is hiding a 74% rollback problem, and what RCS actually is and why it might be the most underutilized channel in marketing right now. All of this right here, right now, on the Modern CTO Podcast! To learn more about Sinch, check out their website here. To read Sinch's full report on The AI Production Paradox, check it out here.
Every year, Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference introduces updates that ripple through the App Store economy for years to come. In this special post-WWDC edition of Sub Club Live, host David Barnard sits down with RevenueCat developer advocate Charlie Chapman and world-renowned growth expert Thomas Petit to cut through the keynote hype. Together, they analyze the technical realities and strategic implications of the biggest announcements coming out of Apple Park.Rather than offering a generic recap of consumer features, the panel focuses entirely on the practical mechanics that impact subscription app growth, retention, and monetization. From the deprecation of SiriKit in favor of mandatory App Intents to the introduction of App Store Creative Assets and new subscription bundling options, this session provides a clear roadmap of what subscription businesses should test immediately, adopt eventually, or safely ignore.More content from the RevenueCat family:
