Our hosts, Detavius, Kat, and Nicole talk about self care for creatives in this day and age and what that looks like. It’s easy to fall into bad habits but harder to break out of them. We didn’t have access to the beaches, couldn’t go to the gym, and had a hard time getting off the couch. Some of us got sucked into the world of ASMR on YouTube, some of us binge watched TikTok videos (not the dances though) and Netflix becoming one with our favorite series. What helps? Keeping in touch with friends, using FaceTime and Zoom to stay connected. Keeping a clean and organized space gets your head right and clear. Building structure into your day keeps you on track, adds necessary discipline to break up the monotony. Structure is good, but sometimes a bubble bath at 2pm to reset your day can be helpful as well. It’s all about what works for you. Listen to hear what other obstacles we faced and how we overcame them.
