Let's prime the pump... Jenny and Steve talk about a number of different stories involving the emotional cycles of weight gain from our experience and from a couple clients. As you listen to these stories, think about the circumstances and emotions that are playing out to create weight gain in the past, and how it's playing out today.
Steve's mother passed away last week. Her name is Linda, which means beautiful. A few stories can help illustrate that we are trying to help people recognize their inner beauty, loving who they are, and then living at a higher level. Love you mama.
Continuing on the theme of Emotional Weight Loss we talk about how the emotional storms within us manifest in the form of mental illness, chronic illness and weight gain. We tell the story of our 10 year old and how her experiences now are mirroring Steve's experiences at the same age. But we are coaching her today so she doesn't have to wait 30 more years to fully recognize and heal the emotional storm.
Season 2 kicks off with a discussion on Emotional Weight Loss. Steve compares weight loss to the process of demoing and remodeling a kitchen. The emotional component is the hidden mold, asbestos, bad wiring, faulty workmanship, rotted floor joists, vermin or more that is hiding behind the surface when you do your demo. Leave that stuff untreated and unaddressed and you'll just have to redo the kitchen all over again in a few years. Get the full course and coaching experience at www.steveandjenny.us
"Evolve so hard they have to get to know you all over again."Lots of people are experiencing chronic dis-ease because of the emotional issues associated with feeling thwarted in their communication or feeling like they have to raise their voice to be heard and understood. Today we talk about a couple examples of how using your voice can help you heal.
Steve shares a nugget of wisdom from our religious practice about a gentleman who felt truth in his heart. That's where God communicated with him. The story always resonated with Steve because he feels truth in the same area, like a swelling in the chest or "burning in the bosom." Jenny on the other hand feels truth differently and communes with God in a way that is different than some. There's no right way to "feel truth" nor is there only one way to commune with God, and today we talk about those differences. If you'd like insight into how you personally feel truth, schedule a coaching call.
Imagine a circle divided into three parts: 1. The things you know2. The things you know you don't know3. The things you don't know you don't knowNow come and find out the rest in episode 10.
In this episode we talk about Scripts. Consider yourself the director on the stage of life and everyone in your life is operating based on a script YOU have handed them. Well, the corollary to that is, "What scripts have people handed you, that you are acting out unknowingly?" You can return the scripts to sender. Example. Although Steve had been taught a weight loss principle from a dear friend, he didn't want to follow her script to achieve his results. He wanted to write his own. So he created his own process to help people write a new script for weight loss.
In this episode we talk about stories that we create for ourselves subconsciously and consciously. We believe our lives should follow a specific script. Sometimes the script was just handed to us. Other times it's a script we voluntarily ascent to. The point is to understand when we are following a script from someone else and decide to craft our own story to guide our own destiny.
Years ago Steve took some nail polish and painted his black rimmed glasses as an expression of healing and understanding who he really is. Received the calling and unsure how to proceed2. Running away from the calling and afraid3. In the whale bemoaning steps 1 and 2. 4. Spit up on the beach ready to go complete the calling5. In the process of fulfilling our calling in life Where are you? Let's talk!
You can't complain your way to a better life. The more you complain about your present, you sabotage your future. How we lost and then got back $35,000 just from being "content" and how dreaming paved a new future for us.
