Recorded around Father's Day, this one features with Andrew's dad while he was in town visiting. Devon isn't in any bands, but he's a good friend of ours who is far more up to date on new bands than us. New Wave of Extreme Metal isn't technically a real term, but the episode focuses on the onslaught of new metal that has been popping up all over the world for the past few years, with an emphasis on death metal, as always. Whatever the terminology is, we are definitely in an amazing era for new extreme music. This episode runs a little longer in terms of picks; we decided to do 5 each as opposed to the normal 3. All of the bands feature are new/ currently active and we agreed it was worth giving them whatever additional exposure we can generate as such.
