Michael Wolff joins Joanna Coles to reveal how White House insiders are now dubbing the East Wing the “Epstein Ballroom.” From the persistent shadow of Jeffrey Epstein over Trump and Prince Andrew's dramatic fall from royal privilege, to the explosive crypto pardons benefiting the Trump family, Wolff's latest thorns to burrow into Trump's side. They discuss Rupert Murdoch's role, the birthday letter that exposed Trump's connections, and the intricate web of influence stretching from Norfolk to Washington. With the latest Trump polls tanking and the government shutdown nearing a record, this episode captures the tangled, high-stakes universe of Trump's presidency in real time. Hosted on Acast. Michael Wolff joins Joanna Coles to posit the president's next astonishing move: Donald Trump's plan to demolish the West Wing of the White House. They trace how that impulse connects with the East Wing teardown, a $300 million ballroom project, and the greater ambition of remaking the presidency in his image. Along the way, they explore how Trump's real estate instincts are emerging as his most effective shock-and-awe tactic. With the foreign policy collapse in China, the polling crisis at home, and the disappearance of oversight in Congress, this episode asks: As Trump tears down the White House, what remains of the presidency?

According to Wolff's filing, Melania's legal team sent him multiple warnings and demands for retractions after he suggested that she and Donald Trump once moved within Epstein's social orbit. Wolff's suit claims that the threats were intended to intimidate him and suppress reporting on the Epstein network, arguing that his comments were protected speech and not defamatory. The lawsuit seeks a declaratory judgment that Wolff's statements were lawful expressions of opinion and requests discovery that could compel both Melania and Donald Trump to testify under oath about their past ties to Epstein and his associates. As a one third shareholder in the team he receives a dividend every year of around £50 million and he has seen his team's valuation soar to the point where his holding is worth over a billion dollars.  Eddy Cue is the senior Apple executive who signed the Brad Pitt F1 movie deal and followed up by clinching the five-year exclusive US TV rights deal.  The interview on stage at ABX was 36 hours before that deal announced, but Eddy was happy to share plenty of detail about how Apple sees F1's potential and what the movie has done for the company for F1.  Send your comments or questions to: @jamesallenonf1 on X or jamesallenonf1@autosport.com. She is the author of The Emotionally Intelligent Team: Building Collaborative Groups that Outperform the Rest (Amazon, Bookshop)*. It's easy to assume that a good start for a great team is getting the smartest people together. That does help, but it's not the critical factor in whether a team performs. In this conversation, Vanessa and I discuss why the word belonging makes such a difference. Key Points Raw talent of the individual and their own interpersonal skills don't predict team performance. Belonging is critical for team performance. Leaders often miss this because they already feel like they belong. Team members understanding each other is the first and most critical norm. Beginning meetings with check-ins or gallery walks helps people understand each other, even if it's not discussed extensively. Inviting people to bring everyday objects to illustrate a more complex point helps make understanding accessible. The leader sets the tone, but it's the interaction between team members that makes the difference. Michael Wolff developed a notably close and complicated relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, one that blurred the line between journalist and confidant. Epstein served as both a source and a subject for Wolff, who claimed to have recorded more than 100 hours of conversations with him. Those talks reportedly covered Epstein's relationships with global elites, his political ambitions, and his fascination with influence. Epstein even floated the idea of Wolff writing his biography, reflecting how much he trusted Wolff—or at least how much he wanted his version of events recorded by someone with credibility in media circles. Wolff later referenced these recordings in interviews and writings, including insights into Epstein's ties to figures like Donald Trump and Bill Clinton, further cementing his access as unusually deep for any journalist. That closeness, however, has long been controversial. Critics have accused Wolff of being too comfortable with Epstein, suggesting the relationship compromised his objectivity and gave Epstein an avenue to shape his own public image. Wolff's recollections of Epstein's final days—especially his claim that Epstein's last message to him was “Still hanging around”—added a sensational layer to their connection, fueling speculation about how much Wolff really knew. The result is a dynamic that sits somewhere between journalism and complicity: Wolff gained remarkable access, but at a cost that continues to raise ethical and moral questions about covering a predator who thrived on manipulation.to  contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

Most things in life--- automobiles, lovers, cancer --- are essential only to those who have them. Money, in contrast, is equally important to those who have it and those who don't. Both accordingly have a concern for understanding it. Both should proceed in the complete confidence that they can.", so writes John Kenneth Galbraith in his famous book “Money: Whence It Came, Where It Went.”  But what is money? This question may seem obvious at first glance; however, as we discover in this episode, there is more to it than meets the eye. Some claim that we are now entering a new monetary world with cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. To make sense of all of this, this week the dialectic goes to work to explore the question of 'money' with Prof. Wolff.   About The Dialectic at Work is a podcast hosted by Professor Shahram Azhar & Professor Richard Wolff. The show is dedicated to exploring Marxian theory. It utilizes the dialectical mode of reasoning, that is the method developed over the millennia by Plato and Aristotle, and continues to explore new dimensions of theory and praxis via a dialogue. The Marxist dialectic is a revolutionary dialectic that not only seeks to understand the world but rather to change it. In our discussions, the dialectic goes to work intending to solve the urgent life crises that we face as a global community. A new wave of scrutiny has reignited public attention on figures once connected to Jeffrey Epstein, with developments spanning finance, politics, and media. Billionaire investor Leon Black, who resigned from Apollo Global Management in 2021 after revelations he paid Epstein more than $150 million for “tax and estate planning,” is reportedly in talks to anchor a bid for The Telegraph, one of Britain's most storied newspapers. The move, seen by critics as an attempt at reputation rehabilitation, has drawn renewed criticism over Black's past ties to Epstein — particularly as he seeks control of a media institution traditionally associated with moral conservatism.Across the Atlantic, former Labour heavyweight Peter Mandelson has been ousted from his ambassadorial role after emails emerged showing him describing Epstein as a “good friend” and advocating for his early release even after the financier's sex crime conviction. Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who initially defended Mandelson, reversed course swiftly once the correspondence became public, declaring the longtime political operator would have “no future role” in government. The episode has underscored the enduring reputational risks tied to Epstein's network, years after his death, and how proximity to his name continues to derail public careers.Meanwhile, journalist and author Michael Wolff has resurfaced with claims that Epstein's “ghost” still haunts former president Donald Trump — a relationship both men have publicly minimized. Wolff's insinuations, based largely on anecdotal accounts and suggestive sourcing, have been met with skepticism, yet continue to generate headlines in a political environment where scandal and spectacle often overshadow substance. Collectively, the stories of Black, Mandelson, and Trump — filtered through a media ecosystem eager for intrigue — illustrate how Epstein's legacy remains an open wound in elite circles, where power, money, and image intersect in a never-ending struggle between denial and exposure.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com

In his memoir One Damn Thing After Another, former Attorney General Bill Barr reaffirmed his belief that Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide, dismissing widespread speculation of foul play. Barr described Epstein's death as “a perfect storm of screw-ups,” blaming systemic incompetence at the Metropolitan Correctional Center rather than conspiracy. He detailed how the facility's guards failed to perform mandatory checks, cameras malfunctioned, and protocols broke down at every level. Barr said that after personally viewing the surveillance footage and autopsy results, he concluded Epstein had indeed hanged himself, though he admitted the timing and circumstances were “unbelievably coincidental.” He also recounted informing then-President Trump, who reacted with disbelief that such a high-profile prisoner could die in federal custody.Journalist Michael Wolff took a sharply different angle in his reporting and in his book Too Famous. Wolff portrayed Epstein's death not as mere bureaucratic failure but as a politically charged event involving figures like Bill Barr. He claimed Epstein boasted before his death that Barr, not Trump, was “really in charge” in Washington—an assertion that Wolff framed as symbolic of Epstein's manipulative arrogance and deep connections. Wolff insinuated that Barr's Justice Department may have had incentives to control the fallout surrounding Epstein's demise, emphasizing how quickly official narratives were accepted and how conveniently they buried lingering questions. His depiction suggested Epstein's end fit a long pattern of elite protection and strategic silence rather than pure misfortune.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com
