With December to Dismember on the horizon, Paul Heyman looks to further ensue his ECW Champion, The Big Show, remains the champion. After his gorilla costume stunt last week, Heyman trots out with the gorilla mask as a reminder to RVD that he's the one in control. Then Heyman teams with The Big Show to take on the team of RVD and Hardcore Holly in the Main Event. There's a pair of Extreme Elimination Chamber qualifying matches with CM Punk vs Mike Knox and Tommy Dreamer vs Test determining two more spots in the first-of-it's-kind match. In this next installment of our How To Do Tantrik Ritual series, we look at three very important moments in Tantrik ritual worship (namely, bhūta-śuddhi, nyāsa and gandhādi pūjā) that all serve to reinforce the idea of Advaita, non-duality in the context of worship. Over and over we affirm that the One being worshipped and the One worshipping as well as the very tools and items of the worship themselves are all One and the Same Reality: Consciousness-Bliss, Shiva. As such, we discuss how pūjā (ritual worship) and japa (mantra recitation) can act as powerful sādhanas (spiritual techniques) for truly realizing non-duality beyond mere intellectual concepts. We also talk a little bit about the importance of the sacred pilgrimage places known as śākta pīthas, and how these might be mapped unto the body in the process of nyāsa. Excitingly, we compare the rather similar mythological structures of the "Dismemberment of Osiris" episode in the Egyptian pantheon to the "Dismember of Sati" incident in the Purānas to make a point about sacred geography and the Immanence of God, following from last week's discussion on Nyāsa as a Sacred Pilgrimage Practice!A truly exciting discussion! Bert Edens and DE McCluskey talk with Staci about the new short story anthology, “Dismember the Coop.” The book consists of macabre tales inspired by the music of Alice Cooper. It's also a charity project. What's more, DE McCluskey wrote a comic horror tale about Def Leppard for a newly released Rock & Roll Nightmares book, "Parallel Lines."

On Tuesday November 7, Sam Haskell IV, hires a couple day laborers to take 3 bags of rocks to to the dump. The bags don't feel like rocks, they feel like meat. A block away from Haskell's home the men open a bag. Seeing a belly button, the men returned the bags and the money to Haskell who claims they saw Halloween props. The workers go to the police to tell their story, but end up having to call 911 from the parking lot of the police station. By the time cops get to Haskell's place to investigate,  Haskell is gone and so are the supposed bags of body parts. An investigation starts. The next morning at 6:15 am a 911 call comes in from a homeless man who was dumpster diving when he finds a has headless body. The headless torso of a female identified after an autopsy, confirmed to be the wife of Sam Haskell IV.   According to the autopsy report whoever did this "dismembered torso with a single sharp force injury at the base of the anterior neck.  No fatal injuries were found on the torso. The report further states Haskell's "head, majority of the neck, and majority of all four extremities" as absent and the "amputation sites" as "remarkably smooth" which  suggests a sharp power tool was likely used. One of the most shocking facts found in the autopsy report is that Mei Haskell may have been alive when her head was severed from her torso.  According to the autopsy report "there was no definite indication that dismemberment occured antemortem." However, "the possibility that the head and neck removal was initiated prior to death cannot be entirely excluded." From the book: "In the early 1990s, Swedish musicians revolutionized the international music scene with their groundbreaking interpretations of what Metal music could be. Suddenly, the mild-mannered Scandinavian country found itself at the forefront of a new movement with worldwide impact thanks to bands such as Entombed, Dismember, and At the Gates. The birth of black metal drove the culture to even greater extremes, featuring a rawer, darker sound and non-ironic death-worship. Soon churches in both Norway and Sweden were aflame, and before long Satanism emerged as more than just an image. "But how did it all start? Why did Sweden become a hotbed for such aggressive, nihilistic music? And who are the people and bands that brought it all about? Blood, Fire, Death: A Swedish Metal Story recounts the evolution of the genre from the massive amplifier walls of 1970s rock, through the church-burning Satanic 1990s, to the diverse and paradoxical manifestations of the scene today. This book focuses on the phenomena that have propelled the scene forward in an evolution that has not only been musical, but aesthetic and ideological as well. Cohasset man Brian Walshe has been indicted for the murder of his wife, Ana Walshe, who vanished in early January after a New Year's Eve party. Prosecutors say the 48-year-old husband dismembered Ana Walshe and discarded her body in multiple trash cans in the area. Police have recovered blood-stained items from the home, including a hacksaw.
