The following are various teachings from Solid Rock Church in the Pomona Valley, California.
In this teaching, our Director of Discipleship, Gabby Bingham teaches on the topic of attachment. We’re taught that attachment has existed from the very beginning, something that we all have- but is it a secure attachment or an insecure attachment? In the Gospel, we’re given space to develop a healthy attachments to one another and Jesus; we’re also give grace to redeem past attachments.
In this teaching, Pastor Ruben Reyes III shows us that our families can cause us great joy and also great pain. As disciples, we can work to unwind this tension and pain while becoming part of a new family- the family of Jesus. This new family now gives us a platform to bring healing to our own family and those around us.
In this teaching, Pastor Ruben Reyes III introduces our new study called Emotionally Healthy Spirituality. He says that during this study we’ll gain an understanding of what it means to disciple our emotional selves. In essence, spiritual maturity and emotional maturity go together. We’ll discover our emotional health so that we can authentically know God, know our selves, and live with others.
In this teaching, Pastor Ruben Reyes III reminds us that there is a good Master who is benevolent and kind to all people. As Jesus tells this parable, we’re reminded that we all have been given an inheritance of the Gospel that should not be buried but instead should be available to all those around us!
In this teaching Pastor Ruben Reyes III finishes our teaching through Ephesians. He tells us that the work of Jesus is profound and complex, yet simple and summarized in four distinct words that close this letter: Peace, Love, Faith and Grace; all coming from the source of our incorruptible love.
In this teaching Pastor Ruben Reyes III reminds us that as Paul closes this letter and his call for unity and love for Jesus, he tells us about a friend who who has become a brother, leaving a beaming example of Gospel-friendship for us.
In this teaching, Pastor Hunter Bingham teaches that because of Christ’s ultimate victory in the Gospel, we now live by continuing in his victory, regularly strengthened by the presence of God and in all things, relying on his strength, not our own.
