New York Times (3/10/26) This week on CounterSpin: House Foreign Affairs Committee chair Brian Mast declared of Iran: “This murderous regime has posed an imminent threat against every American both at home and abroad for the last 47 years”—leading many at home and abroad to reach for their dictionaries. The Trump White House's war on Iran is unpopular in the US: “Even the highest level of public support for this conflict falls far lower than that at the start of most other conflicts, including World War II, the Korean War and the Iraq War,” reports the New York Times. That may have something to do with the parade of rationales offered; Popular Information has a roundup of the 17 different reasons the Trump regime has given to date for why we went to war. All of it normalized by corporate media that allow recorded history to be put up for debate, that pretend we haven't seen what we've seen, leaving today's warmongers free to draw up a historical narrative, or several, that serve their present purpose. As we record on March 12, some 251 groups have sent a letter to Congress demanding they vote against any additional funding for the unconstitutional war, now costing an estimated $1 billion a day. Signers included Public Citizen, the ACLU, Greenpeace, J Street, Jewish Voice for Peace and National Nurses United. A supplemental worth $50 billion, the letter notes, would be enough to restore food assistance for 4 million Americans, establish universal pre-K education and pay for the annual construction of more than 100,000 units of housing. CounterSpin has been tracking US news media failings, omissions and propagandizing on Iran for decades. We revisit some of that conversation this week, hearing from Cyrus Safdari (2009), Vijay Prashad (2012), Murtaza Hussain (2017) and Trita Parsi (2018).
https://wels2.blob.core.windows.net/family-devotions/20260313fam.mp3 Listen to Devotion Read: John 4:5-26 A Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?” The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.) Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water so that I won't get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.” John 4:7,9,13-15 The Picture We Can't Live Without In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Have you ever heard someone say, “A picture is worth a thousand words”? It means that sometimes showing a picture is better than trying to explain it with words. For example, I could describe a famous painting for a long time but seeing it in person makes it so much easier to understand. When Jesus taught people, he loved to use pictures like that to help them understand really important truths. One of his favorite pictures was water. Why water? Because we literally can't live without it! A human body can only survive about three days without water. Water is essential for life. One day, Jesus met a woman at a well. She had come to draw water to drink. Jesus used that every day, important water to teach her about something even more important: spiritual life. He said: “Whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life” (John 4:14). Jesus wasn't talking about water you guzzle from a bottle that quenches your thirst for a little while. He was talking about the gift of salvation—forgiveness of sins and eternal life—something that lasts forever. We all look for things in this life to make us happy. The woman at the well thought the right person in her life would make her happy. We might think games, friends, screens, or even AI will satisfy us. The problem is those things never fully satisfy us. They leave us wanting more. They leave us feeling empty. Jesus gives us what we can't find anywhere else: Forgiveness when we foolishly look elsewhere for fulfillment. Peace with God for the moments we need it most. Eternal life to someday replace this life. And the best part? He fully satisfies us with salvation! We don't need to keep going back and trying over and over—Jesus already gives us everything we need. Jesus even gave us a picture of this truth: his cross. Look at it, and you see the gift of salvation, love, and forgiveness—all in one picture. Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for helping me understand how important your gift of salvation is for me. May your gift always satisfy me and make me truly happy. Amen. The questions below are to help families discuss this devotion. The questions are divided by age group as suggestions, but anyone could reflect on any of the questions as they desire. Questions for Younger Children What happens to a person who doesn't drink water? How is that like what happens to someone who doesn't know or believe in Jesus? When you see a picture of a cross, what does it make you think of? Questions for Elementary Age Children Why was the woman at the well so surprised that Jesus talked to her? What does that show us about Jesus? How is spiritual life like drinking water? How is it different? Questions for Middle School and Above Name three other things people sometimes look to for happiness or fulfillment. Jesus used a normal, everyday thing (water) to teach a spiritual truth. Can you think of something in your life that could help you teach someone about Jesus? How would that look? Download Family Devotions Family Devotions are brought to you by WELS Discipleship. From Krista: A few months ago, I was invited to sit with four people sharing a very different Israeli-Palestinian story than that which comes to us in headlines. They are members of the Parents Circle - Bereaved Families Forum, a very special community. It's composed of hundreds of Palestinian and Israeli families, who despite having paid the highest price of the conflict between their peoples, choose to metabolize their loss as ground of shared suffering and possible reconciliation. I'm so grateful to share that conversation with you now. You will hear their various stories of a transformation of perspective and path. You will hear me invoke a notion of "deep truth" from physics that is vividly with me in this time. Terrible ruptures and escalating violence are part of the truth of what we see ourselves capable. But they are not the whole truth, not the inevitable future. Courageous experiments in healing and transformation are also a reality of our time. In a packed room in New York City, I think we all felt like we were witnessing something unimaginable if you only judge the potentials of humanity from the extreme actions that shape what we call the news. The Bereaved Families Forum is extremism in a life-giving, heart-opening key. We left that room — and may you leave this listening — feeling a little bit healed ourselves, with a hopefulness become more magnetic and more reasonable. This event was hosted by the American Friends of the Parents Circle – Bereaved Israelis and Palestinians for Peace. My conversation partners were Robi Damelin, Arab Aramin, Mohamed Abu Jafar, and Liora Eilon. Liora, who lost her son in their kibbutz on October 7, 2023, is one of the newest members of this group. __ Listen to Krista's original conversation with Robi Damelin and Ali Abu Awaad in the On Being podcast feed; the episode is called “No More Taking Sides”. Welcome to 5 Minutes of Peace — a time for you to reflect, recharge, and renew. Five minutes to awaken something within yourself. Michael speaks with Michael Doran, Director of the Hudson Institute's Center for Peace and Security in the Middle East and a former senior director in the National Security Council, about the outlook for U.S.-Israeli attacks on Iran. Mr. Doran explains the internal power dynamics within the Iranian regime and why they matter to potential negotiations to de-escalate or end the conflict. He also explores the likely diverging interests of Israeli and American leaders, why understanding the influence of Iranian ethnic groups is vital to charting possible outcomes, and why he believes a citizen-led uprising to topple the government is unlikely.
Step into a sacred space of divine alignment and deep restoration. In this guided Reiki meditation, Colleen Benelli leads you across the inward Bridge of Light to the River of Peace, where you can release the layers of old beliefs and injuries hiding your true soul light. Connect with the 2026 frequencies of peace and gratitude as we anchor global harmony through the world peace grids. Key Insights * The Inward Bridge of Light: While many journeys take us to the higher heavens, this practice focuses on the "Inward Bridge." By traveling within your own system, you access the purity of your soul and the "Third Heaven" of consciousness that exists inside your human nature. * Releasing Soul Injuries at the River of Peace: Manifestation is often blocked by "layers" or "extra weight" we carry from the world. By cupping the living waters of the River of Peace, you wash away the cords and attachments that hide your true self from your own perception. * Peace Within as a Catalyst for World Peace: Following the teachings of Usui Sensei, this journey emphasizes that world peace begins with internal stability. We use our collective coherence to empower the global peace grids, from the North Pole to Mount Kurama, anchoring a frequency of harmony for 2026. * Stabilizing via the Tree of Life: In times of collective shift, working with the Tree of Life imagery ensures your "roots" are deep in the Earth while your "branches" receive higher guidance, creating a balanced trunk of personal power. People Also Ask (FAQ) How do I release old beliefs during a Reiki journey? In the Reiki journey, you are guided to the River of Peace. By using your intention and the authority of compassion, you can "release the cords" of old stories and injuries into the water. This allows the living waters to wash away the layers hiding your soul's truth, creating space for new growth. What is the "Inward Bridge of Light" in Reiki practice? The Inward Bridge of Light is a visualization tool used to shift your awareness from your external personality and circumstances into the depths of your soul. It helps you realize that the higher frequencies of peace and the "kingdom of light" are not somewhere distant, but are a fundamental part of your internal spirit. Why is Usui Sensei's birthday significant for peace meditation? Mikao Usui, the founder of Reiki, taught that peace begins within the individual. Celebrating his legacy through world peace meditation aligns our community with his original intent: to share the light of peace with the world by first cultivating it within our own hearts. The Bible and the Quran are two diametrically opposed books. While Islam claims to be a religion of peace, the religious text of the Quran proves otherwise. Through time and study, the Bible has proved to be the same book yesterday, today, and tomorrow, and is authored by the true Prince of Peace.

In this episode of the Tactical Living Podcast, hosts Coach Ashlie Walton and Sergeant Clint Walton explore a reality many first responders quietly live with but rarely say out loud: feeling calmer, more regulated (Amazon Affiliate), and more understood on shift than at home with the people they love most. At work, there is structure, shared language, clear roles, and predictable expectations. At home, connection requires vulnerability, emotional availability, and uncertainty—things a trauma-conditioned nervous system often flags as unsafe. This episode unpacks why the job can feel like relief while home can feel overwhelming, and what that dynamic means for marriages and families.
What's the difference between God's peace and emotional relief? In this episode of The Catholic Coaching Podcast, Matt and Erin talk about one of the most important discernment mistakes people make: confusing relief with peace.Relief can feel good in the moment. It can feel like pressure is gone, tension has lifted, or discomfort has stopped. But that does not always mean a decision is from God.Peace is different.True peace is deeper, steadier, and rooted in truth, surrender, and right relationship with God. It can remain even when a decision still feels difficult, sacrificial, or scary. In this conversation, we cover: • the difference between peace and relief • why relief can be misleading in discernment • how the enemy can mimic peace through relief • why fear and discomfort do not automatically mean you are outside God's will • examples from our own lives where relief and peace felt very differentIf you are trying to discern God's will, make a big decision, or grow in spiritual maturity, this episode will help you slow down and listen more carefully. If this episode helps you, please like, subscribe, and share it with a friend.Send a textSupport the show____________________ ► Make sure to SUBSCRIBE to the Metanoia Catholic YouTube Channel!► Find out your temperament: Take the Free Quiz► Get the Conversation Starter Guide (FREE) ► Take the Quiz: WHAT TYPE OF COACH ARE YOU?► GET THE DAILY SEVEN JOURNAL!This interactive journal will help you transform your life from the inside out by teaching you how to grow in gratitude, set healthy goals, and gain mastery over your thoughts.► JOIN THE ACADEMY!Your online resource of classes, tools, and community to ramp up your growth and really change your life. On the heels of an unprecedented military operation in Venezuela, the United States joined Israel in a direct attack on Iran, citing a variety of justifications for the attack, including a nuclear threat, a predicted strike, a desire for regime change, and decades of hostilities. More recently, widespread protests and a crackdown by the regime have dominated headlines. Congress has responded to this sudden escalation of the conflict with attempts to rein in the White House. Meanwhile, Iran and its proxies responded with multiple retaliatory attacks across the Middle East. Already, the conflict has disrupted air travel, fuel prices, the global stock market, and further rocked the instability of an already conflict weary Middle East. At the root of the issue are lingering questions regarding White House motives and exit strategies.rnrnrnAmbassador Gina Abercrombie-Winstanley is a 30-year diplomat with deep experience in the Middle East and serves on the board of the Middle East Policy Council. For dogs mindfulness isn't really a thing. Mostly because it's just how they are. It's the very foundation of their existence. Humans, however? Not so much. In another episode inspired by the Venerable Monks and the Walk for Peace, a discussion of mindfulness - specifically as it relates to the happy horsesh*t concept of multi-tasking.Which, by the way, turns out isn't really a thing.Whether it's in my own life, in the way I interact with others or how I engage with my dogs, being present isn't just an important thing. It's the only thing. In a world where what passes for radical honesty usually means someone is just letting things fly outta their pie-hole without much care for others, it's time for radically authentic conversation. Conscious communication is simple, but often isn't easy. That's why Cathy Brooks created Talk, Unleashed – a weekly podcast of radically honest conversation about — everything. Whether her own musings or in conversation with industry leaders, each episode invites curiosity. Curiosity not about what people do, but why they do it. Who they are and what makes them tick. It's about digging underneath to reveal the thing that is most true - that we are more alike than we are not. A mix of solo episodes where Cathy shares her insights and experience or Cathy engaged in conversation with fascinating humans doing amazing things. No matter the format - it's unvarnished, radically honest and entirely unleashed. We talk a lot about healing, but we do not always talk about what it really costs. In this episode, I'm opening up about what it looks like to stop surviving and start living. I share how I learned to face my pain instead of avoiding it, the quiet shift that changed everything for me, and why I now see peace as the highest form of success. This is not about pretending things did not hurt. It is about asking better questions, setting better boundaries, and choosing emotional discipline over ego. If you have ever felt strong on the outside but tired on the inside, this conversation will meet you there. Join me wherever you are and let's talk.
This episode reminds us that even when life doesn't make sense, God's peace is enough to carry us through. Jesus sees your storm, feels your struggle, and guards your steps. You may not get answers—but His peace will steady you until the calm comes.
In a system fighting tooth and nail to protect itself, Joe Oltmann Untamed dives into the raw resistance Trump faced from day one. Newly released body cam footage from the March 2025 DOGE raid on the U.S. Institute of Peace captures the tense standoff as officials pushed through evictions and chaos, proof the deep state doesn't go quietly. Lawyers play victim while the powerful cling to control, and even Senate leaders like John Thune seem stuck in slow-motion excuses on fixing elections. The inside game is real, and it's ugly.Joe brings on Mark Cook, election and cyber-security expert behind the Hand Count Road Show, to break down the ongoing war on honest voting. From Shawn Smith's push for Tina Peters' clemency to John Solomon's report on the FBI seizing Maricopa County election data in an expanding probe, the pressure is building. But in Colorado, the legislature just rammed through HB26-1084 to make citizen ballot petitions harder, silencing the people's voice while silencing watchdogs like Erik Holt. Mark lays out the hard truths and real solutions, no more excuses.Joe connects the dots with chilling clips: an "Allahu Akbar" bomb attack at an NYC anti-Islam rally, the ISIS-saluting suspect's parents living in a $2.5M mansion, repeat offenders like the Kansas City Chiefs parade shooter (armed robbery again, no jail) and Colorado's Steaven Henderson (child sex abuse while on parole—case dismissed under "competency" laws). Open borders, soft-on-crime judges, and corrupt systems let predators roam free while patriots pay the price. This episode is a gut-punch wake-up. The rot is everywhere, but the fight is far from over. Tune in for the fire you need to stay untamed. You won't look away.
Leslie continues the Steadfast Heart series by sharing three Biblical keys for choosing peace over drama. When we build our lives around specific principles from God's Word, we can avoid the emotional turmoil that comes from getting involved in unhealthy human drama and experience a peace-filled existence. What happens when pushing harder only makes you feel more exhausted inside? In Healthy Mind, Healthy Life, hosted by Sayan, Daniel Faust joins for a grounded conversation on surrender—not as weakness, but as a practical pathway back to clarity. This episode is for anyone who looks “fine” on the outside but feels overwhelmed underneath. Daniel breaks down how our unprocessed “MESS” (mental, emotional, social, spiritual, and relationship/intimacy wounds) quietly leaks into our work, decisions, and relationships—and why healing often starts with honest inventory, not more control. About the Guest: Daniel Faust is a former United States Air Force servicemember who shares his personal healing journey through what he calls the “MESS”—mental, emotional, social, spiritual, and relationship/intimacy wounds. He speaks openly about surrender, identity, and rebuilding from the inside out. Episode Chapters: 00:04:15 — When “trying harder” makes the inner exhaustion worse 00:05:22 — Looking successful outside, falling apart inside 00:06:23 — Air Force transition, contracts, and hidden stress 00:08:20 — What surrender really means (and what people get wrong) 00:11:29 — The “MESS” begins: a job shock, birthday, and the divorce threat 00:16:00 — The practical start: inventory, patterns, and honest “why” questions 00:20:04 — The core question: “Do you like the mess you're in?” Key Takeaways: Do a control inventory: where are you gripping tight—money, validation, anger, intimacy, or being “right”? Ask: Is this pattern benefiting me—or repeating the same cycle? Notice where stress spills onto the people closest to you, especially in tough seasons. Clearing the FOG with co-hosts Margaret Flowers and Kevin Zeese
The Trump Administration is supporting the development of privatized libertarian enclaves that are not subject to local or national laws where the wealthy can exploit land and peoples for profit. Known as the Network State Movement, many of these 'special economic free zones' already exist in the United States and around the world, but their backers, such as Peter Thiel of Palantir, are searching for a place to create the first private 'nation'. Clearing the FOG speaks with Dr. Beth Geglia, an anthropologist and documentarian who focuses on tech-futurist territorial movements, about the first zones, how Trump's Board of Peace is connected to the Network State Movement and the fight back. Today's Promise: Ephesians 1:2 What if a simple greeting could change the way you face your entire day? In this episode, we explore a powerful greeting that the early Christians often spoke over one another: grace and peace from God. What sounded like a warm greeting was actually a deep reminder that God is the source of every blessing. You'll see how God's grace is the foundation of your salvation and the source of every good gift in your life. It was grace that sent Jesus to the cross, grace that drew you to faith, and grace that continues to cover you every single day. Lasting peace flows out of that God-given grace. Every person longs for true peace. Even when life feels uncertain or overwhelming, God offers a calm confidence that He is still in control. Join us as we talk about living in God's favor, walking in His peace, and extending that same grace to the people around you every day. ✨

Near-Death Experience, Aftereffects of Gentleness & Peace
Have you ever felt like you're just… not it right now?Like your engagement has tanked. Your last launch didn't pop the way you hoped. You're posting, but it feels like you're speaking into a void. And the worst part? You know you need to show up magnetic to create sales… but you feel anything but magnetic. In this episode, I'm talking about what to do when you're feeling flat, deflated, or even a little bit like a fraud. Especially if you teach the very thing that doesn't feel like it's working for you right now. Jeez. That spiral is real.I'm walking you through the four shifts I personally use to kickstart momentum fast:• Adopting an “everything is always working out for me” mindset (and how this instantly changes your energy)• Raising your personal standards so you start moving like a winner again• Taking messy, prolific action instead of overthinking yourself into paralysis• Stopping the busy work and actually fixing what isn't workingThis isn't about faking confidence. It's about rebuilding momentum in a way that feels powerful and grounded. Because demand is everything. And when you know how to generate it on purpose, you stop making low engagement or a slow season mean something about you.If you're ready to feel back in demand instead of invisible, this episode is going to hit.Resources mentioned:Grab the free behind-the-scenes case study on Instagram where I break down how we created 1,500 leads in just three weeks during a pre-launch. Your Day Off @Hairdustry; A Podcast about the Hair Industry!
Episode SummaryCorey Hairdustry is joined by co-host Katie May for a conversation with Ajahn Tri Dao, a Buddhist monk and spiritual counselor. Inspired by the Walk for Peace, they explore the shift from “world peace” as an idea to internal peace as a daily responsibility—and why that change matters in a loud, fast, overstimulated world. What You'll Learn• Why Buddhism can be understood as both a religion (protected by law) and a philosophy/practice (tested in real life)• The Walk for Peace's core message: inner peace creates the conditions for world peace• A clear definition of “suffering” (dukkha): the uneasiness that comes from resisting reality, clinging, and trying to control what you can't• How coping behaviors often show up when people can't sit with pain (and why slowing down changes everything)• Why America's pace (work, stress, constant stimulation) fuels emotional reactivity and disconnection• The Middle Way: not grinding yourself into burnout, and not numbing yourself into stagnation• How to start building awareness without making it complicated: journal first• A practical journaling framework: track sleep, mood, triggers, and reactions to expose patterns you've normalized• Beginner-friendly meditation advice: start guided with music, then build toward silence and breath-focused practice• Breath techniques shared: counting breaths, noticing temperature, and training the mind to do one thing at a time• What progress looks like: it's not “no thoughts,” it's responding differently when life pokes you• The takeaway: “Stop. Reflect. Write. Breathe.” and finish what you started.Key Quote-Level Takeaway“Peace is free from disturbing emotions—and you can train for it.”If you want, tell me: do you want the IG caption to feel more spiritual/soft, or more hard-hitting/straight talk?
Ornette Coleman's The Shape of Jazz to Come (1959) may be the most controversial album in jazz history, and one of the most important. In 1959, a broke musician from Fort Worth, Texas arrived in New York City with a plastic saxophone and a band that didn't play by the rules. And EVERYONE had an opinion about it.Jazz legends hated it. Miles Davis said Ornette was "all screwed up inside." Max Roach punched him in the mouth. Dizzy Gillespie said Ornette's music wasn't even jazz. Meanwhile, Leonard Berstein and John Coltrane celebrated him.So what exactly is The Shape of Jazz to Come, and why was it so radical? Jazz pianists Peter Martin and Adam Maness break down every track, from "Lonely Woman" to "Chronology". They dig into harmolodics, free jazz, and how Ornette shaped everyone from Miles Davis (who eventually came around) to the '80s burnout crew, including Wynton Marsalis, who personally recommended this record to Peter.Dig into The Shape of Jazz to Come with us, and learn why this soft spoken saxophonist inspired both criticism and awe.-------------------------------Start your free Open Studio trial for ALLLLL your jazz lesson needs:https://openstudiojazz.com/yhi-------------------------------Related You'll Hear It episodes:Mingus Ah Um: https://youtu.be/XYeRZ0Awui4Giant Steps: https://youtu.be/8umC2yZlPHcKind of Blue: https://youtu.be/ShzSnjP8bSgTime Out: https://youtu.be/-_qPhFSJeQUNina Simone at Town Hall: https://youtu.be/2PDjN5_2y5Q-------------------------------About You'll Hear It:In this popular music series Adam and Peter break down the greatest albums of all time. In this episode of the Beautifully Broken Podcast, I'm joined by neuroscientist Ramona von Leden for a deep dive into brain health, light therapy, and the intersection of science and wellness technology. Ramona works with Neuronic as a scientific advisor and brings a background in neuroscience research, clinical trials, and neuroinflammation. We explore how near-infrared light can penetrate the skull and influence brain cells, supporting mitochondrial activity, vascularization, and cellular energy production. Ramona explains how photobiomodulation works at the cellular level, why wavelength matters, and how the Neuronic helmet was designed specifically to target brain tissue rather than just the skin. We also talk about the bigger picture: why neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson's and ALS are on people's minds, how sleep plays a massive role in brain repair, and why foundational health habits like breathing, sunlight exposure, and movement, still matter more than any single device. This episode is ultimately about balance: combining foundational health practices with cutting-edge tools that can support cognitive performance, resilience, and long-term brain health. Episode Highlights [00:00] – Ramona explains the long-term goal of Neuronic: developing the first light therapy device cleared for neurodegeneration. [01:04] – Ramona introduces her background in neuroscience, yoga teaching, and working with neurotechnology startups. [04:12] – The concept of “health fluence” and the responsibility of sharing wellness tools and technology. [10:14] – Addressing skepticism: can near-infrared light actually penetrate the skull and reach the brain? [13:21] – Understanding the Neuronic protocols: Glow, Focus, and Peace—and how different pulse frequencies influence brain activity. [18:03] – The physics of light: how wavelengths determine tissue penetration and why 1064–1070 nm is used for brain photobiomodulation. [29:29] – What the research shows so far: improvements in attention, memory, sleep quality, and depression scores. [37:17] – Who benefits most from the helmet—aging adults, sleep-strugglers, and people seeking cognitive support. [43:50] – When light therapy may not be appropriate, including active cancer considerations. [50:45] – Why breathwork, movement, and circadian habits still matter more than any device. [59:00] – Tools vs foundations: using biohacking technology to support—not replace—daily health practices. In this second installment of the March basketball series, Molly takes the analogy one step further. Last week was about knowing your playbook — recognizing the patterns behind your drinking. This week is about knowing the scoreboard.Because it's not just about how many drinks you had. It's about what the game is costing you.Molly explores the difference between evaluating a single night of drinking and looking at your overall “season record.” One off night may not define you. But trends over time tell a deeper story. Are you moving toward more peace, more energy, and more self-trust? Or are you stuck in negotiation, anxiety, and subtle disappointment? The episode weaves together personal reflection and neuroscience, breaking down how alcohol impacts GABA, glutamate, cortisol, and dopamine. Molly explains the neurological rebound effect behind 3 a.m. wake-ups, how dopamine drives anticipation and craving, and why repeated drinking can increase baseline stress sensitivity over time. This episode isn't about shame or dramatic declarations. It's about clarity. And clarity gives you the power to adjust your strategy mid-season.In This EpisodeWhy the scoreboard matters more than effortThe difference between a single “game” and your season recordThe hidden costs of drinking beyond obvious consequencesHow alcohol increases GABA — and why that calm feeling doesn't lastThe glutamate and cortisol rebound that fuels 3 a.m. wake-upsHow dopamine drives anticipation and cravingWhy repeated dopamine spikes can make normal life feel “flat”The cumulative impact of stress reactivity over timeThe mental and emotional cost of daily negotiationWhy adjusting your strategy mid-season is a sign of maturity, not failureKey TakeawaysThe scoreboard reflects outcome, not intention.Automatic does not mean inevitable.Alcohol may relieve stress temporarily but increase baseline stress over time.Dopamine fuels anticipation more than pleasure. One bad night is a single game. Trends over time are your season record. You are allowed to adjust your strategy mid-season.This Week's PracticeInstead of only tracking drinks, expand what you observe:How did you sleep?Did you wake up at 3 a.m.?How did your anxiety feel the next day?How much mental space did alcohol take up?Did you follow through on your plan? You are not trying to force change. You are gathering data. And clarity reduces ambivalence.Mentioned in This EpisodeThe neurological rebound effect (GABA and glutamate balance)Dopamine and anticipation conditioningSunnyside mindful drinking app (15-day free trial)Work With MollyIf you're ready to go beyond listening and begin applying these tools with support, you can learn more about working with Molly at:www.mollywatts.comYou can also reach out directly at molly@mollywatts.com to explore what level of support is right for you.Low risk drinking guidelines from the NIAAA:Healthy men under 65:No more than 4 drinks in one day and no more than 14 drinks per week.Healthy women (all ages) and healthy men 65 and older:No more than 3 drinks in one day and no more than 7 drinks per week. One drink is defined as 12 ounces of beer, 5 ounces of wine, or 1.5 ounces of 80-proof liquor. So remember that a mixed drink or full glass of wine are probably more than one drink.Abstinence from alcoholAbstinence from alcohol is the best choice for people who take medication(s) that interact with alcohol, have health conditions that could be exacerbated by alcohol (e.g. liver disease), are pregnant or may become pregnant or have had a problem with alcohol or another substance in the past.Benefits of “low-risk” drinkingFollowing these guidelines reduces the risk of health problems such as cancer, liver disease, reduced immunity, ulcers, sleep problems, complications of existing conditions, and more. It also reduces the risk of depression, social problems, and difficulties at school or work. ★ Support this podcast ★

President Donald Trump says in a March 8 post on Truth Social that higher oil prices are “a very small price to pay” for safety and peace, as the Iran war continues. The New York Police Department (NYPD) said improvised explosive devices were ignited and thrown outside New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani's residence over the weekend. The devices did not explode.NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said on Monday that the department is investigating the incident as an "ISIS-inspired" terrorist act.
After a really rough day at the office, the kind that leaves you completely drained, your nervous system buzzing, and your brain still replaying everything even though you're technically off the clock.... my advice to my client was surprisingly simple. In this episode I share a tiny but powerful ritual that costs nothing extra, takes only a few minutes, and has both ancient wisdom and modern neuroscience behind it. Now the ritual works for everyone all the time, but I also share a personalized twist for each of the four elements, fire, earth, air and water... speaking of water, here is a little spoiler, it involves water. The talking point has gone out that Jared Kushner is the anti-Christ, though after deducting his role on the Board of Peace and a previous property's address involving 666, which he has since sold, the story falls apart. It is instead Donald Trump who has been framed as the messianic figure by rabbis and Jewish billionaires like Mariam Adelson, who called him the "savior” of the Jewish people. Trump has also been repeatedly compared with Cyrus the Great and King Nebuchadnezzar. His right ear was cut in Pennsylvania, signifying the Biblical loyalty test to a master - an owner. Some Rabbis have repeatedly called him the Moshiach. Trump was gifted the Israel Award and the Crown of Jerusalem. And it was Trump who officially founded the Board of Peace around the same time his “fake” “peace” deal with created and destroyed between Israel and so-called Hamas. It is not the belief of TST Radio that there is a literal anti-christ; but it is our belief that religious zealots will create the optics of one. Furthermore, while most call Rome (and its seven hills) and the Catholic Church, and Pope, the Whore of Babylon and anti-christ, Jerusalem is also surrounded by seven hills and is quickly becoming the center of a global religious conspiracy that is giving rise to global holy war and the Moshiach. *The is the FREE archive, which includes advertisements. What if the reason your life isn't standing out has everything to do with what you actually believe — not what you say you believe?
As a Christian, how do you survive in a narcissist world? How do you maintain relationships? What should you say? What shouldn't you say? What does it look like to love a narcissist? What does forgiveness look like? How do you get out of relationship burnout and live peacefully? All these questions are answered and much more in this podcast.
In a world that often feels divided—across families, communities, and workplaces—this week's episode explores a deeper understanding of togetherness. While unity is often associated with unconditional acceptance, the wisdom of Kabbalah teaches that true unity also requires responsibility and alignment. Healthy teams, relationships, and communities are built not only through love and openness, but also through clear boundaries that protect the culture and shared vision. This conversation explores why difficult conversations and courageous boundaries are sometimes necessary for real growth. Avoiding them may feel easier in the moment, but it can ultimately create greater challenges for everyone involved. By approaching these moments with intention, certainty, and a desire for the highest good, we can transform uncomfortable decisions into opportunities for greater clarity, stronger relationships, and space for the right people and opportunities to enter our lives. In this Daily Shift, Celeste explores why consistency feels safer and more secure than intensity. Excitement and unpredictability may feel powerful in the moment, but long-term trust is built through reliability. This episode is a reminder that consistency creates emotional safety — and safety is the foundation of sustainable connection. Peace is more powerful than performance. Small shifts create big change.
