Hello! I'm Amena and I'm fascinated with self improvement and exploring the many ways in which we can thrive in our day to day lives. Whether it's physical, mental or spiritual, I believe we can all find many ways - both big and small - to feel more worthy and content in our lives. I'll be inviting guests to share their stories of personal growth and also host some solo shows where I share my own tips on everything from beauty to health to business, parenting, education and spirituality.
My husband, Osaama, joins me in the final episode of Season 1 to answer your questions on marriage - the good, the bad and the ugly. We discuss what we've learnt through our 14 years together and how we've resolved differences (or not). Osaama's background is in interior design - he cofounded our business Pearl Daisy in 2010 and has since been working with me in our businesses on social media. We have 2 children together (aged 9 and almost 11) and a cheeky cat called Mickey. I chat with my sister Mai about her journey to feeling empowered as a single woman when faced with societal pressures to get married. We talk about creating a story with our lives and how there is much more to women than our marital status or various roles within the family unit.
I'm joined by Saud - a banker and entrepreneur - to have a chat about how the Coronavirus pandemic will effect small businesses. If you'd like to support this Podcast, feel free to buy me a cuppa tea on www.Patreon.com/amenakhan
In this introductory episode, I lay down the foundation of what personal thriving means to me and why I believe we all have an inner desire to grow and thrive. I also touch on the inspiration between the name and the artwork, reflecting on Rumi and touching on trauma.
