We also explore the story of Nadeem and Saud, the brothers at the center of the film, as "philosophers of the urban" whose shelter for injured black kites becomes a ritual of resistance and a search for a common peace. Patrícia passou anos tentando ser mãe. Perdeu gestações, enfrentou tratamentos e viu o seu sonho se desfazer algumas vezes. Quando tudo parecia ter acabado, ela descobriu que a maternidade não chega do jeito que a gente imagina, mas do jeito que precisa ser.Desde pequena, Patrícia sonhava em ter filhos. Quando conheceu o companheiro com quem queria dividir a vida, sentiu que tudo finalmente estava se encaixando. Casaram rápido e logo ela engravidou. Tudo dava a entender que o futuro tinha finalmente começado.Mas a Patrícia perdeu a primeira gestação. Depois veio a segunda, e ela também perdeu. Com as perdas, ela foi atrás de respostas, já que tinha quase 38 anos e o relógio biológico parecia fazer mais barulho que qualquer outra coisa.Ela tentou a fertilização in vitro, investiu o dinheiro guardado para realizar o sonho de conhecer a Europa na tentativa de realizar outro sonho: ser mãe. Mas não deu certo.Foi então que sua irmã mais nova doou seus óvulos, num gesto de amor tão grande que a Patrícia decidiu acreditar mais uma vez. Dessa vez, a gravidez foi progredindo. Saudável, feliz, o quarto estava pronto, o nome do bebê já tinha sido decidido…Até que, no sexto mês, uma dor na perna levou Patrícia ao hospital. Ela estava com a pressão alta, ficou dias internada e precisou entrar em trabalho de parto prematuro. Infelizmente, Patrícia teve que dar à luz um bebê sem vida.Ela voltou para casa sem o filho e uma parte dela ficou naquele hospital.Na varanda de casa, entre lágrimas, ela e o marido falaram pela primeira vez sobre adoção. Não importava como, eles só queriam ser pais.E foi assim que Felipe chegou. Seu filho estava no interior do Maranhão, e ela foi até lá buscá-lo. Quando Patrícia segurou aquele recém-nascido pela primeira vez, ela soube, sem explicação, que ele era seu filho. Não era melhor, nem pior, nem diferente. Era a conexão entre mãe e filho.Três meses depois, enquanto aprendia a ser mãe de Felipe, veio outra surpresa: uma gravidez natural, depois de tudo que ela havia passado. The TWENTY30's co-hosts Hanaa Almoaibed and Lucien Zeigler sit down with Saud Alturki, Saudi music producer, curator, and founder of Brij Entertainment ahead of the release of his third album, High Octane. A project two and a half years in the making, the track list reads like a love letter to hip hop royalty. Busta Rhymes. Swizz Beatz. West Side Boogie. Rhapsody, whom Saud calls his favorite female MC alive today.    Working with his creative director Chindi, who turned every production conversation into something closer to a therapy session, Saud landed on a concept that's deeply rooted in where he's from, the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.   Saud takes us back to the beginning: a freshman at McGill in Montreal, freezing through his first Canadian winter and discovering that music wasn't just something he loved — it was something he could do. A move to LA, a chance encounter at a Verizon store with a gospel-tinged R&B singer named Bernard, and seven years of patience later, he finally put out his first single. That story alone sets the tone for everything that follows: Saud is someone who builds slowly, deliberately, and for keeps.   But the conversation doesn't stop at the album. Saud talks about what it really takes to build a music industry in Saudi Arabia — not just a music scene. Venues, labels, studios, government support, festivals like Middle Beast that have built an entire ecosystem around artists. He's careful to say Saudi isn't quite an industry yet, but the infrastructure is finally arriving, and the talent — including his Brij Entertainment artist Hajaj, the first Saudi to perform at Grammy weekend in LA — is already outpacing it.   There's also a sharp, honest take on the streaming era, why dropping albums in 2025 is "not the best move" (and why he's doing it anyway), the emerging Saudi genre Hoppe — a fusion of Sambri and hip hop that he wishes he'd invented — and what he tells young artists in Riyadh who have every resource he never had at 17.   High Octane drops after Ramadan.

Com três meses de gestação, Marcely entrou no hospital acreditando que sairia dali com uma notícia leve, o sexo do bebê, um detalhe feliz para guardar. Em vez disso, sentiu o chão sumir quando a médica avisou que ela estava dilatando cedo demais, e iria perder o bebê. O choque foi tão grande que ela mal conseguiu reagir, só chorou. E, no meio do banheiro do hospital, uma desconhecida, sem saber de nada, ofereceu uma frase atravessada de fé que a fez buscar outra opinião médica.No segundo hospital, veio a confirmação e uma aposta diária: internação e repouso absoluto para manter a gestação o máximo possível. Era pandemia, e a Marcely passou dias deitada, olhando para o teto, vivendo de pequenos marcos, celebrando a cada 24 horas por mais um dia conquistado. Quando soube que o bebê que ela gerava era menina, também soube que ela ainda era pequena demais para o mundo. Mesmo assim, Laura ganhava peso e ia crescendo dentro da mãe, e isso dava esperança para Marcely.Duas semanas depois, uma nova infecção mudou tudo. Para proteger mãe e a bebê, os médicos optaram por uma cesárea. Laura nasceu com 1,05 kg e, ficou na UTI neonatal. Por muito tempo, foi mais fios e eletrodos do que pele aos olhos de Marcely. O colo da mãe veio só três meses depois e, justamente ali, no primeiro contato pele a pele, Laura teve uma parada e foi tirada às pressas de seus braços. Marcely saiu daquele momento achando que não era um colo seguro.Os dias seguiram. Intubação, sonda, cada avanço era uma luz acesa na vida da Marcely e da Laura. A bebê nasceu em 15 de março e recebeu alta por volta de 16 de junho. Marcely acreditou que, em casa, a vida finalmente ficaria bem. Mas foi ali que tudo desabou. A força que ela sustentou por meses virou silêncio, e uma depressão pós-parto tomou espaço. Só quando Marcely conheceu outras mães de prematuros, entendeu que sua dor poderia ser compartilhada.Hoje, Laura tem quatro anos. Saudável, brincalhona, sem sequelas. E Marcely aprendeu que cuidar da filha também passa por se cuidar de si, para que a segurança que ela oferece não seja apenas uma máscara, mas um chão firme.
