Walk By Faith

At the close of studying the Book of Mormon this year, let us discuss Moroni's invitation and HOW we can come to know the truth of the Book of Mormon. Talking about 4 key principles on how you can know for yourself. 1) “Read these things.” 2) “Remember how merciful the Lord hath been.” 3) “Ponder it in your hearts.” 4) “Ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ.”

I started this podcast with my spirits high. I was hit with some physical challenges that have knocked me down. Reminiscing on the past couple months I remind myself how good God is. Encouraging us to look at ourselves today - a good hard look. And see if we like who we've become. Let's start with a small desire: a desire to become better. And let that desire work in you.

I had the awesome opportunity to speak with one of my young woman in my old ward. She has such an amazing perspective and I'm so excited to share this episode. Hi! My names Elise, I'm 18 years old, I'm studying illustration at Brigham Young University and I'm gay. I'm honored to be able to share my story with you! I'll be taking you from the very beginning where I first realized I was a little different, to where I am now in a place of acceptance and authenticity. And then I was thinking it could be cool to have the title be something like “from the perspective of a gay Christian” or “Gods love extends to all his children”

I take you through my journey of being called as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints after 1.5 years of working hard to get an assignment, only to be called home early. My plans after high school graduation did not go according to plan. But they eventually led me to something greater.
