There are qualities in a person that I look for before I consider someone my friend. Trust, Morals and Values, Humor, not a crowd follower, someone who isn't threatened by people who are different than them, and a little (just a little) sarcastic. Friends can be, and are one of the gifts of life. They can make a good situation better or a bad situation tolerable and even enjoyable. This episode focuses on my friend, Alan Jensen. I share a couple of stories about Alan and I, and the trouble that followed us. One about Canyoneering in Pine Creek Canyon and the Narrows of Zion National Park, and the other story is about a mountain biking accident which ended up being a miracle. I would like to dedicate this to the four friends that I lost in 2020: Jill, Chantelle, Walt, and Alan. I am grateful to have the opportunity to share my life with such extraordinary people. I love nature. Everything about it. Whether it's the desert, the ocean, rainforest, or the mountains, I love it all. Not everyone has my same opinion. On this episode we will learn about my friend Ms. Gout and her fear of what nature can do. I will share a story that happened when I was a young boy living in the Blue Ridge Mountains and being charitable to my neighbor.
