What If And Before When

What if everyone's name was their username, everyones had to be different.  Would some people be called GB70David456? What if you could use birth username across all services, such as your Facebook ID, Twitter name, email and mobile contact? Before when we had the world wide web.  What else used the internet?

What if the earth really was flat? Are pilots, astronauts and scientists all keeping the secret?  Could they really be wrong? What is on the other side? Before WHEN we had postcodes, how did they start and where.  What else are they used for today and are they about to be replaced?

What IF 100 people could vote for someone to be legally murdered? Would it have stopped Hitler before he came to power? Would bosses feel compelled to be nicer? Who might you vote for? Before WHEN discusses motorways? When did they start, how long would journey times take without them? What exactly is a motorway?

This episode asks, what if the earth stopped spinning.  How would we survive if days where as long as a year, or half the world was permanently day?  Is the earth going to stop spinning already? Before when we had batteries discusses how batteries came to be.  What devices couldn't we invented without batteries.  Will replaceable batteries be around for much longer?  And what came first, batteries or electricity?
