By the time the activity returned, she already knew how it worked. Long stretches of nothing. Then a single moment that refused to be forgotten. It started when she was twelve, with a hand on a light switch that did not belong to her mother. Years later, there were footsteps, shadows, and objects that moved without being touched. And then — just as quietly — it all stopped. For years, the house stayed calm. When her daughter turned eleven, the quiet broke. This time, it felt different. More intrusive. Less familiar. A presence that didn't observe from a distance, but tested boundaries — appearing briefly, retreating quickly, and returning when fear took hold. What unsettles her most isn't what is happening now, but what stopped happening before. The activity didn't disappear. It shifted. And silence, she has learned, is not the same as absence.#TrueGhostStories #GenerationalHaunting #ParanormalExperience #UnexplainedEncounters #ShadowFigures #HauntedFamily #SomethingShifted #RealGhostStory #AfterMidnight #UnseenPresenceLove real ghost stories? Thirty-five years later, Brother Barry still tears up thinking about that first Bible study, the night he couldn’t sleep because he thought: could this be it? After years of a chaotic childhood, unstable homes, and churches that left him more confused than when he walked in, God led him right to the door he’d been passing every single day. But what he didn’t know was that his story was just beginning. Because God had a calling waiting for him that would blow up every plan he had for his young life. Now, if Brother Barry’s story spoke to you, or if you know someone who’s in the middle of their own secret journey, share this with them. I dropped 13 pounds in a month. Not because I found a better diet. Not because I tracked harder. Not because I finally “got motivated.” It happened when I stopped doing something I've been doing for 25 years. In this episode, I share what really changed — and why weight loss was never about food for me. If you're a Christian woman who: Knows how to lose weight but can't seem to stick with it Starts strong and fades out Feels embarrassed that you keep quitting Uses food to cope with stress, overwhelm, or disappointment Wonders why you can't just follow through This one is for you. I talk about: Why I kept self-sabotaging my weight loss The connection between people-pleasing, hiding, and emotional eating How living out of alignment with who God made you to be creates stress in your body Why cravings can lose their grip when internal conflict is resolved And what finally broke the start-over cycle for me I also didn't expect to get emotional in this episode… but I did. Because this wasn't just about weight. It was about finally stepping into who God made me to be — without shrinking, second-guessing, or asking everyone else for permission. If you've ever said, “This time will be different,” and then ended up back where you started… You're not lazy. You're not broken. And you're not alone. Weight loss isn't just about what you eat. It's about why you keep quitting. ✨ READY TO STOP THE CYCLE? As I ran yesterday, my watch missed a mile and a half due to a technical glitch. In the moment, I was immediately a little upset because it didn't record that stretch of the run and I might not be able to fix it on the back end. Shortly after that initial thought, I realized something much more important, which I take some time to share here. I hope it brings you some inspiration and quality reflection. Thanks for listening. As always, Much Love ❤️ and please take care.

Send a textFive days into deployment as a Marine infantry officer, a live-fire training accident severed Captain Patrick Nugent's sciatic nerve and paralyzed his right leg. What most people called “the worst thing that could ever happen” became the turning point for everything that came next.Patrick is a Marine veteran, Invictus Games athlete, Harvard Kennedy School and Wharton grad, Boston Consulting Group consultant, and future Paralympic hopeful. And in this episode of Consequence of Habit, he joins JT to talk about grit, habits, and cognitive reappraisal: the ability to literally rewrite the story you tell yourself about adversity.Patrick walks through the injury, the brutal recovery at Walter Reed, and the decision to treat his situation not as an ending, but as an opening. They dig into keystone habits, goal-tracking, stoic philosophy, and why believing “this might be the best thing that ever happened to me” changed his life. Jodi always believed the world held more than what we notice. Her husband didn't—until their home offered them the same quiet question from two different directions.Nothing dramatic ever happened there. No cold spots. No strange sounds. Just brief, deeply familiar moments that felt completely normal—until they weren't. A child seen where he shouldn't have been. A gentle touch that came from no one at all. What makes these experiences unsettling isn't fear, but certainty. Each moment felt intentional. Personal. As if something moved through their home unnoticed, borrowing what was already trusted.Years later, there's still no explanation that fully fits. No conclusion that closes the door. Just the lingering sense that some things pass through our lives quietly—recognized not by how they appear, but by how closely they resemble what we love.#TrueGhostStory #ParanormalExperience #MimicPhenomenon #UnexplainedEncounters #RealGhostStories #QuietHaunting #SomethingWasThere #SkepticNoMoreLove real ghost stories? On this week's Extra Serving, NRN editor in chief Sam Oches and executive editor Alicia Kelso discuss the latest restaurant industry news, including Chipotle's negative sales year, Taco Bell's ongoing dominance, and the incredible growth in snacks. First up is Chipotle, which last week reported that its same-store sales declined 1.7% in 2025. CEO Scott Boatwright introduced a “Recipe for Growth” plan that has five steps to get the brand back in black, but the company also issued guidance for the year that shows it expects sales to be flat. Sam and Alicia discuss the unsurprising results and whether they think Chipotle's plan for growth — which includes increased usage of limited-time offers and demonstrating the brand's value proposition — will help reverse its fortunes. Next up is Yum Brands, which had mostly good results: Taco Bell continues to dominate in the QSR category, with its same-store sales up 7% in the latest quarter and evidence that it's taking market share from just about every other corner of the restaurant industry. Meanwhile, KFC enjoyed 1% growth — signs, perhaps, that its turnaround plan is working. Sam and Alicia discuss those positive results, but also dig into the myriad issues over at Pizza Hut, which saw sales decline last year and plans to close 250 units in the first half of this year. Finally, the editors turn their attention to snacks, which are enjoying a renaissance across the restaurant space and could drive continued disruption at brands big and small. For more on these stories:Chipotle unveils plan to ‘accelerate growth' after another negative quarterTaco Bell is taking market share from just about everywherePizza Hut is closing 250 U.S. locations in the first half of 2026

Monique Tepe allegedly knew for eight years that her ex-husband had threatened to kill her. She divorced Michael McKee in 2017 after just seven months of marriage. Witnesses told investigators he strangled her, forced unwanted sex, told her he could end her life. She never filed a public report. She rebuilt everything — new husband, two kids, a life. On December 30th, she and Spencer were found dead in their Columbus home. McKee pleaded not guilty despite surveillance footage, a ballistics match, and documented threats.Mica Miller made fourteen police reports in her final months. Reported GPS trackers, harassment, fear for her life. Told her family if she ended up with a bullet in her head, it wasn't her. Two days after serving Pastor JP Miller divorce papers, she was dead. Ruled suicide. JP just pleaded not guilty to federal cyberstalking while the indictment alleges tracking devices, a nude photo posted without consent, fifty-plus contacts in one day, and lies to investigators.Psychotherapist Shavaun Scott — author of "The Minds of Mass Killers" and a DV survivor herself — connects these cases. She explains the psychological burden of living under threat, why victims don't report, how coercive controllers weaponize systems against their targets, and the forensic profile of defendants who treat prosecution as competition. Send us a textMost business owners think their income problems come from not doing enough. Not enough content. Not enough launches. Not hitting the right number yet.I used to think that too.But constantly chasing one monthly number was the very thing keeping my business in a cycle of pressure, overwork, and instability. In this episode, I break down how I stopped letting one number control my business, why monthly income goals kept me stuck in panic mode, and the income planning shift that finally brought clarity and peace. This conversation is about stepping out of reactionary work, building income intentionally, and creating a business that actually supports your life, not one that runs you.Join the Growth Lounge - https://www.brittneyceo.com/growthGet My 7 Figure Guide: https://brittney-ceo.mykajabi.com/offers/fbKnBwSM/checkoutGet my FREE weekly biz babe moves straight to your inboxhttps://view.flodesk.com/pages/624b64b2a15594c239cada7bJoin my Facebook Grouphttps://www.facebook.com/groups/131279237732613Follow me on Ig @brittneyceo for my daily life, hot biz tips, and morehttps://www.instagram.com/brittneyceo/
In this Conflicted Conversation, Thomas speaks to veteran Singaporean diplomat Prof. Kishore Mahbubani about his thesis that the 21st century will be remembered as ‘the Asian Century', and how the West can prepare peacefully and optimistically for China's return as the fulcrum of world history. Drawing on his books Living the Asian Century, Has China Won?, and Can Asians Think?, Prof. Mahbubani explains: Why the 21st century will be the Asian century and why this need not require Western decline How colonialism shaped Asian self-perception, and the need for intellectual decolonisation How other countries can adopt Singapore's model for success His meeting with Fidel Castro, Hafez al-Assad, and Yasser Arafat The hypocrisy of Western power and diplomacy How the United States keeps the UN weak on purpose Why Pres. Trump's China realism has been a good thing The threat of war in Asia Follow Prof. Mahbubani on X: https://x.com/mahbubani_k Join the Conflicted Community here: https://conflicted.supportingcast.fm Find us on X: https://x.com/MHconflicted And Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/MHconflicted And Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/conflictedpod Learn more about your ad choices. On a recent trip to Lake Geneva in Switzerland, biodiversity reporter Phoebe Weston witnessed the impact of one of the planet's most potent invasive species, the quagga mussel. In just a decade the mollusc, originally from the Ponto-Caspian region of the Black Sea, has caused irreversible change beneath the surface of the picturesque lake. While ecologists believe invasive species play a major role in more than 60% of plant and animal extinctions, stopping them in their tracks is almost impossible. Phoebe tells Madeleine Finlay how invasive species spread, how conservationists are trying combat them and why some think a radical new approach is needed.. During the 18 years she went without a proper diagnosis, Alison Dotson lived inside a "horror film" of her own mind. She was suffering from Pure O — a form of OCD dominated by mental compulsions rather than visible physical ones. Her mind was filled with graphic, intrusive images and "dark thoughts" that stood in direct opposition to her values. Because her symptoms didn't fit the stereotypical hand-washing or checking behaviors seen on TV, she believed she was simply untreatable or, worse, a danger to those she loved.Living in constant fear of her own mind, Alison reached a breaking point in her 20s where she began welcoming a terminal diagnosis just to escape the thoughts. In this episode of the Get to Know OCD podcast, she joins Dr. Patrick McGrath to share her story in honest detail and what finally helped her.NOCD specializes in exposure and response prevention therapy, the most effective treatment for OCD. Life gets hard sometimes. Things pile up. And when you're looking at what to put down, your podcast feels like an obvious choice, especially if you're the one doing all the work. But most podcasters assume that stepping away means their show stops working for them entirely.I didn't release a podcast episode from September through January. Four full months of silence. And during that time, I signed multiple new production clients. One found me through Google search, binged my existing episodes, and reached out ready to work together. My podcast kept doing its job even when I wasn't showing up to record. In this episode of The More Profitable Podcast, I'm breaking down why I was able to step away without tanking my business, what actually happened during those four months, how building your show as a long term asset means it can work whether you're releasing new episodes or not, and what re-entry looks like when you're ready to come back.1:49 - The reality of taking an unplanned break (and why most people didn't notice)4:12 - How I made the decision to step away and what I knew would keep working7:02 - Why my episodes are built as sales assets, not just content9:03 - What actually happened during the four months I was gone (spoiler: I signed new clients)11:50 - The long-term value of consistency and why stick-to-itiveness matters13:05 - How social media algorithms shifted and why podcasts matter more than ever now16:52 - Why long form content is what actually nurtures people into buyers19:18 - How to prepare for unexpected breaks by building strategically right now21:28 - Coming back: do you announce it or just start releasing again?24:07 - How to rebuild your podcasting muscles after time away26:05 - Being honest about capacity and what you actually need right now29:09 - Why this isn't the first time this has happened (and won't be the last)Mentioned in What Happened When I Stopped Podcasting for Four MonthsPodcast Strategy IntensivePodcast Production with Uncommonly MoreThe Podcast NewsroomRate and Review The More Profitable PodcastReady to build a podcast that works whether you're recording or not?The podcasts that keep converting during breaks aren't accidents. No one tells you this part. The part where you get the life you worked for…and instead of fireworks, something inside you quietly lets go.In this vulnerable solo episode, Ashley speaks to the moment after achievement. When success stops giving you dopamine, ambition goes quiet, and the identity that once kept you safe no longer fits. Not because anything went wrong, but because something finished. This episode isn't burnout, or ingratitude, or even “losing your edge.”It's about grief. The kind no one names. The grief of outgrowing the version of you who needed success to feel safe.Inside Ashley shares all about:✨ Why success often functions as an identity, not a goal✨ The unnamed grief that comes when ambition stops driving your nervous system✨ How motherhood exposes what achievement was really doing for you✨ Why neutrality can feel scarier than struggle for high-performing women✨ The moment success shifts from something you pursue to something you embodyThis episode is for the high-achiever who's confused by her own neutrality. The woman who thought she'd feel happier here. The leader quietly wondering who she is without the chase.Press play if you're ready to stop chasing who you were and meet who you're becoming.ASHLEY ON THE WEBASHLEY ON INSTAGRAMDOWNLOAD THE BIG COACH ENERGY TOOLKITAPPLY TO THE QUANTUM COACHING ACADEMY JOIN QUANTUM COACH CATALYSTLISTEN TO ASHLEY'S EXCLUSIVE PODCAST SERIES, BECOME THE BEST COACH VISIT THE BIG COACH ENERGY SHOP
She had always been close to her grandfather. Even after his death, she still found comfort visiting his grave—talking to him the same way she always had.On one difficult day, she decided to drive out to the cemetery in Frankfort, Kentucky. Something felt off almost immediately. The drive felt wrong. The calm she usually found never came. And as she approached the cemetery entrance, a sudden resistance took over—an overwhelming sense that she wasn't supposed to be there. It wasn't fear. It was certainty.A clear, insistent message repeated itself until she finally listened and turned away. The moment she did, the feeling lifted. Later that day, she learned why.#RealGhostStoriesOnline #ParanormalWarning #AfterDeathCommunication #Intuition #GuardianSpirit #Unexplained #TrueGhostStory #CemeteryEncounter #ListeningToTheUnknown #ParanormalPodcast #ListenerStories Love real ghost stories? Bob is the created and owner of Trade Genius Academy. Bob also does a podcast on YouTube which is called Trade Genius. We're seeing a major shift right now with the EU and Canada cozying up to China in ways we haven’t seen before. With all this talk about tariffs and trade wars under Trump, countries like Canada under Carney are signing these big deals—lowering barriers on Chinese EVs, boosting energy and agri-food ties, and basically pivoting away from heavy US reliance. With China restricting silver exports and their economy imploding internally, losing millions of jobs, gold’s breaking out as the safe haven. We’re talking potential five-figure prices, easy, because demand’s outpacing supply big time. Short-term dips from futures games? Sure, but come January with those restrictions kicking in, watch it rocket. If you’re not positioned in gold or related assets, you’re missing the boat—it’s the hedge against all this inflation moderation and geopolitical mess. With GDP growth holding strong at over 4% and us growing our way out of debt piles. Tariffs are bringing in billions, potentially paving the way for tax refunds or even scrapping income tax altogether. Now, on top of that, families are getting a boost with kids under four qualifying for up to $1,000 through expanded child tax credits in places like New York, and it’s rolling out nationally with adjustments. This puts real money back in people’s pockets, fuels consumer spending, and by 2026, we’re looking at game-changing shifts that cut federal waste and audit the Fed. It’s populist economics at work, and it’s going to change everything for the better. President Trump, including tariffs generating billions, moderated inflation due to reduced money supply, falling rents from deportations, lower drug and health insurance costs, stabilizing food prices, and declining energy costs amid opened supply gates. Bob predicts stable food prices, declining rents, moderated healthcare inflation, and energy prices potentially dropping further post-Russia-Ukraine resolution. The conversation covers Bitcoin’s possible dip to $58,000-62,000 as speculation shifts to gold and silver, with gold potentially reaching five figures and silver facing supply shortages due to China’s export restrictions and industrial demand. Bob believes tariffs will potentially enabling tax refunds, dividends, and even eliminating income tax, while criticizing past fraud, corruption in federal programs, and the need to audit the Fed
