Brittany joins the Sober Motivation Podcast to share her powerful story of growing up in Minnesota with a father who struggled with alcoholism, living with clinical depression, and using alcohol to cope with trauma, loneliness, and shame. She talks about becoming a “high-functioning” drinker—doing well at work and school while secretly relying on alcohol every day. Brittany also opens up about getting trapped in an abusive relationship, the trauma bond that kept her stuck, and the moment everything changed after a violent incident. On January 3rd, she chose sobriety, learned to ride out cravings, and started rebuilding a life filled with real joy, self-respect, and emotional healing. If you're questioning your relationship with alcohol, stuck in toxic patterns, or wondering if change is possible, this recovery story will give you hope and motivation to keep going. ---------------- Support the Podcast: https://buymeacoffee.com/sobermotivation Sober Motivation Community: Click Here Brittany on IG: https://www.instagram.com/innatedivinity/

Happy December! This month comes with its own unique energy - it's busy, magical, fun and overwhelming. You might feel this way too as your calendar starts to fill up with social events, your to-do list grows in leaps and bounds, and the amount of things you need to remember to bring or buy or be somewhere is absurd! So as this month jumps into full swing I was thinking, what can I take off my plate? What can I say no to, or make it easier, or delay? In today's episode we are going to talk through the ten things I stopped doing in December. It is my hope that this might give you permission to say no to things, or stop doing certain things too. Listen…this one is not for the woman who wants to stay stuck. This is the episode where I rip the bandaid off and tell you the truth, not the sugar-coated version.Because I used to play victim.I used to blame the market, the team, the platform, the algorithm, the everything...Until I finally pointed the thumb at ME.And that's when everything changed.I talk about:How I lost over 6-figures after making $2 million — and used the pain as fuel. Why the valleys in your life are never punishment — they're preparation. What the Bible taught me about expansion (yup, we're going there). Why you can't hold overflow while playing small. And the raw truth: if you're still blaming your circumstances, you're the one holding yourself back. This one's fire, conviction, and power — and it's your permission slip to rise.

The blue whales have stopped singing because the krill are vanishing because the oceans are warming because we are ruled by long-toothed liars whose insides are full of dead leaves. The great whales have gone silent and my bird has gone blind and there are chatbots in the basement and corpses in the corn. Under the overpass it is dry and still. You would never know that everything is dying. You should come and visit me. Meet me over there under the sepia streetlights with the strangleporn perverts and fentanyl fallen, all the stillborn scar tissue extractions from the wreckage of a banished womb, the NAFTA-noosed factory towns full of deserted buildings and the window-snarling meth towns full of deserted people, where the cries of orphaned Palestinians mingle with the cries of the last baby orangutan ever born in the wild. Meet me under the flickering lights. Bring me some smokes and a sad luck story and let's stay up late by the freeway watching the traffic get sparse. Show me the spots on your skin where life has kicked you and I will kiss them and give you a flower. The leviathans have gone quiet and the turbines are getting loud, and everything has become so strange. So sit with me on this curb under my burlap wing and let's laugh and heal and mark beauty until sunrise. Reading by Tim Foley.

In this RISE Files session, I take you through the exact identity rupture that transformed my entire business: the moment I realized my leadership leaks (not my strategy) were capping my income.I share how a client defaulting on payments became the mirror I couldn't ignore, why I shut down my own mastermind at the peak of comfort, and how I rebuilt everything from negative 100% MRR to 140% regained in 28 days by leading myself with standards I used to reserve only for my clients.I walk you through the uncomfortable decisions, boundary-setting, and “nice girl funerals” that forced me to stop cushioning everyone else and finally match my conviction with my capacity. I break down the behind-the-scenes of launching Nice Girl Funeral, turning lived experience into offers, making terrifying moves in real time, and creating a culture where clients lead themselves instead of hiding, shrinking, or pedestalling me.If you've been operating with lower standards for yourself than you hold for your clients, or if you know you're still leading from fear, placation, or comfort ..this episode will punch you into your next level. This is the work that built my $500K+ recurring revenue engine and it started with radical self-honesty.If this episode called out your leadership leaks and you know you need tighter self-trust, standards, identity, and capacity going into 2026 — RQ1 is where we fix it fast.

Thanks to a bombshell report from Craig Mauger in The Detroit News, we're learning more of the grip utility giant DTE has in Lansing, especially with Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer and MAGA Republican House Speaker Matt Hall. This is why the Michiganders for Money Out of Politics ballot proposal, OR BETTER KNOWN AS MOP UP MICHIGAN, is a crucial first step in at least limiting the political power corporations play in Lansing. It's a people-powered movement, and it puts the working class ahead of corporate greed that's far too pervasive in Lansing. Some emotionally abusive people do heal. And once they do, they might feel the relationship will be great from that point on. What they don't consider is that the victim of their abusive behavior is only starting their healing process.
Sometimes it takes a single moment to see yourself through a softer lens. In this episode, I share an experience that shifted how I relate to my imperfections and why a Japanese philosophy helped me reinterpret a scar I used to hide. If you've ever felt “not enough,” this gentle reflection invites you into a new way of seeing your own story, your healing, and the beauty woven into your cracks.Where in your life are you being called to see yourself with more compassion?Related episodes to explore:• 167: Did I Manifest This? In this deeply personal episode, I share my 2025 healing testimony — a year of surrender, full circle moments, cultural reconciliation, and learning that consistency beats perfection every time. As a Christian psychiatrist, immigrant, oldest daughter, and recovering hyper-responsible high achiever… this year forced me to confront old wounds, release control, and rediscover my superpower:
Celebrities have an interesting life and getting on a flight can make any of us feel down to Earth and Lauren's got one for us and talking about the Jam in 3 days. Plus, we're trying to help Gina who should be excited about being a bridesmaid but thinks she'll steal the attention because of one bad decision the bride has made
Today I'm sitting down with one of my clients to talk about the part of a health journey no one warns you about: the cycle of losing the weight… only to gain it right back. She came to me stuck in the "all-or-nothing" loop — strict during the week, off the rails on the weekend, and constantly starting over. Extremes were easy. Maintenance wasn't. And if she wasn't being perfect, she didn't think she was doing it "right." In this episode, she shares: what finally pushed her to get help why her old approach kept failing her the breakthroughs she had around food and self-trust the moment she realized one bite tastes as good as the whole thing how she learned to stop trying to earn her progress with extremes and what it actually took to build consistency that lasts If you've ever wondered, "Why do I keep gaining the weight back?" or "Why can't I stay consistent?", her story is going to hit home. This episode shows you what real change looks like when you shift out of perfectionism, rebuild your relationship with food, and learn how to maintain your progress without swinging to extremes. And if you're listening and thinking, "This sounds like me,"—you'll hear exactly what's possible when you finally choose a different approach. Leave an Amazon Rating or Review for my New York Times Bestselling book, Make Money Easy!Check out the full episode: https://greatness.lnk.to/1854"I worry that at the hands of this godlike technology regulated by paleolithic instincts and medieval institutions, that we're evolving a new species of asocial, asexual males." - Scott GallowayScott Galloway walks Lewis through a crisis most people can sense but few can articulate. Sixty-three percent of men under thirty aren't even attempting to date anymore. One in seven young men are NEETs, neither working nor studying nor training for anything, just existing alone with screens. Galloway explains how we got here with uncomfortable precision. Online dating condensed human worth into brutal metrics like "six feet, six figures," which describes exactly two percent of available men. Meanwhile, every traditional venue where men could demonstrate excellence over time has evaporated. They're not going to church, not showing up to offices, not in classrooms where someone might notice they're funny, kind, outstanding at what they do. The algorithms figured out they can monetize every second they keep a young man staring at a screen instead of living in the actual world, and young men are uniquely vulnerable to this because of biology, less developed impulse control, higher susceptibility to dopamine addiction. Why face the rejection and effort of making friends when Reddit offers connection without risk? Why navigate workplace politics when you can trade crypto from your bedroom? Why pursue romance when porn is right there?Galloway isn't offering easy solutions because there aren't any yet. He's diagnosing something that should terrify us. Forty percent of the S&P 500 by market value is now AI-related companies whose algorithms, not through malice but through optimization, have figured out how to sequester young men from their relationships and monetize that isolation. Women, celebrated for walking away at the first red flag and conditioned to demand perfection, are simultaneously dealing with a dating pool that's shrinking not because men are unworthy but because they've stopped showing up entirely. This isn't about blame. It's about understanding that trillion-dollar economic incentives are arrayed against human connection, and young men, through a combination of biological vulnerability and vanishing social infrastructure, are losing that fight. Galloway predicts you'll start visibly noticing fewer young men at malls, events, anywhere public. They're going to be alone in rooms with screens, and we're all going to live with the consequences of that.Sign up for the Greatness newsletter: http://www.greatness.com/newsletter Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. A note from Danielle: My loves, for the month of November, we are featuring the best of my business episodes from 2025. Today's run has some extra divine timing because, as you're listening to this, if you're listening to it on our drop week, we are in Mercury Retrograde. Mercury Retrograde is all about review, rewinding, cleaning things up with intention before they pile up, and you've got to set something on fire. Today's conversation is about the things that, as a team, we decided to let go of this year—in terms of policies, behaviours, things we did to get the bottom line up, and ways of doing things that felt outmoded and not expansive anymore. This will hopefully be inspiration for your creativity, for your prosperity, and for your kitchen cupboards. I'm so glad you're here. Always with love, Danielle. *This episode originally aired as Episode 186 on May 30, 2025. What happens when you pause, sunset, phase out, bless + release everything that's draining your life force? More joy. More prosperity. More clarity. This episode is a full download of Danielle's Stop Doing List—two years of deep renovation inside her business and life—and how those decisions brought in more success and alignment than ever. From saying goodbye to platforms, programs and partnerships that didn't vibe… To completely overhauling the editorial process to bring in more creativity and collaboration… To scrubbing a 220,000 person email list down to 65,000 loving, active subscribers… To shifting from hustle-mode launches to always-open invitations… And so much more. This is the companion episode to "I Stopped Obsessing Over Rapid Financial Growth. Here's Why…" It's not about doing more. It's about doing what matters—and having the courage to stop what doesn't. Everyone is talking about algorithms, engagement, and strategy… but no one is naming the real crisis in the profession: We're in a Belief Recession. Not a motivation dip. Not a recruiting slowdown. A collapse of belief in the system, in leadership, and in themselves. In this episode, I reveal the truth most leaders have felt but haven't been able to articulate: your business didn't stall because you failed… it stalled because the fear-led system you were given collapsed underneath you. The old way of growing through pressure, hype, and constant performance no longer works. Your team didn't quit; they quietly disconnected because they stopped believing. This episode is the beginning of a revival, a new way to lead, sponsor, and rebuild momentum based on connection and belief, not pressure and fear. If you've felt tired, discouraged, or confused by your lack of growth… this will be the most validating and freeing message you've heard in years. Listen to Learn: 17:39 - What I mean when I say that the "Belief Recession" we're currently in is the real reason you are stuck 22:50 - Why it's important to understand that belief only returns through restored leadership that is rooted in love, not fear 23:21 - Where the next wave of growth in this profession is and isn't coming from 25:40 - The key ways in which sponsoring is transference of belief 27:11 - What you can do right now to stand out by swimming against the current happening in our industry 35:10 - How you are the offer and your customers didn't come to you for your products; 46:11 - A reminder that the growth you are looking for is already around you in your current customers, past customers, and people you believe in you Click here to subscribe to our LOVE-LED™ Weekly emails! Are you exhausted from constantly striving, pushing, and trying to be perfect? In this vulnerable and intimate episode of Masks Off for People Pleasers & Perfectionists, I'm sharing the truth about my complicated relationship with my inner perfectionist—who I lovingly call Perfectionistic Paula. For decades, Paula ran the show. She kept me hustling, grinding, striving, and pushing past my limits… all in the name of safety, approval, and control. But as I've moved deeper into my own healing, something surprising happened: I no longer wanted to push. I no longer felt that constant drive. I didn't even recognize myself without her. This episode is an honest look at what happens after you put the sword down, slow down, and start reclaiming the parts of you that perfectionism silenced. I talk about:✨ How perfectionism shows up as a survival strategy ✨ The emotional and physical costs of letting Paula run the show ✨ My struggles with chronic health symptoms and deep exhaustion ✨ The strange “void” that comes when you finally stop striving ✨ How to find the middle ground between burnout and balance ✨ Why your 20s can feel so overwhelming and confusing — and how perfectionism makes it worse ✨ How to soften, surrender, and listen to your inner wisdom instead of the pressure to "figure it all out"If you're a young woman in your twenties navigating identity, burnout, pressure, or perfectionism — this episode will speak directly to your soul.

Jimmy Conrad, Charlie Davies, and Marcelo Balboa are back to unpack a jam-packed weekend on both sides of the Atlantic. After missing the USMNT's November friendlies, Christian Pulisic returned in style, delivering the winning goal in the Milan derby (07:31). The guys debate a big question facing Mauricio Pochettino: Who's the ideal partner for Pulisic in a dual No. 10 setup: Gio Reyna or Malik Tillman (10:15)? The crew digs into the coaching carousel. With Wilfried Nancy emerging as a leading candidate for the Celtic job, can he translate his success with Columbus Crew to one of Europe's most pressure-packed environments (23:55)? And does LAFC have the right succession for life after Steve Cherundolo (29:17)? The guys tip their cap to USL champions Pittsburgh Riverhounds (44:55). Then it's on to the MLS Cup Playoffs: after gutsy semifinal performances from San Diego, Vancouver, and NYCFC, the question remains: can anyone stop Lionel Messi and Inter Miami (48:11)? You didn't start your business to manage a to-do list. You started it to create something meaningful and sustainable. But somewhere along the way, “team” became just another line item, and you felt stuck between wanting to do everything yourself and knowing it was time to trust others to take some of the load off. In the third episode of our 5th anniversary series on She Thinks Big, you'll learn what it really means to lead and not just hire, delegate, or manage. Through the lens of my own five-year evolution, I'll share how everything shifted the moment I realized that the growth of my business has never been a solo act. I'll also reveal five powerful lessons that will help you lead with clarity instead of control, hire from purpose instead of panic, and build a team that scales both your business and your belief in others. What's Covered in This Episode on How I Stopped Managing Tasks3:12 – The surprising truth of where the building of my team really began8:32 – The pivotal realization that transformed my collaborators into a powerful team10:32 – Five lessons that will change how you hire, lead, and scale your business14:53 – Three “L” questions you should ask to grow trust and confidence in your team16:10 – What I know now about building a team that I didn't know when I startedMentioned In How I Stopped Managing Tasks and Started Leading a TeamFive Leaps in Five MinutesMissy Shopshire | Lisa Cumes | Kim Beesley Photography | Stacey Harris (Uncommonly More)Activator IntensiveAscension CollectiveSilent Saboteur AuditShe Thinks Big by Andrea LiebrossBook a Call With AndreaAndrea's LinksAndrea on LinkedIn, Instagram, and FacebookDon't Just Listen—Implement ItUntangle your time, reset your role, and build systems that don't depend on your every move. You know when you’re standing in front of your overflowing wardrobe, absolutely drowning in clothes, and still somehow convincing yourself you have nothing to wear? Today’s guest knew that feeling all too well… until she decided she wasn’t buying a single new item of clothing for a whole year. Yes, Emma Edwards did the thing a lot of us love conceptually but would never have the courage, discipline, or emotional stability to actually commit to. Jess Ricci is self-admittedly in that group, so she decided to give Victoria the day off, and invite Emma into the studio to find out all about it. They dive into how what started as a “maybe this will calm my spending” experiment ended up rewiring Emma’s confidence, her habits, her body image, and the way she understood her own self-worth. Turns out the problem wasn’t the wardrobe… it was the stories she’d been telling herself every time she added something to her cart.Inside this ep:
Scott Galloway doesn't hold back about the crisis facing young men today. Four times more likely to die by suicide, three times more likely to be addicted or homeless, 12 times more likely to be incarcerated. While women's ascent has been remarkable and necessary, society stopped asking what happens when an entire generation of men loses access to the traditional pathways that once helped them become providers, protectors, and partners. Scott challenges the comfortable narrative that young men just need to figure it out on their own. He shares raw truth about what actually motivates men to level up, from his own shame at not being able to afford a nurse for his dying mother to watching his students struggle to find any venue to demonstrate excellence beyond a dating app profile. This conversation will shift how you think about manhood, relationships, and what we owe the next generation.Scott's books:The FourThe Algebra of HappinessPost CoronaAdriftThe Algebra of WealthNotes on Being a ManIn this episode you will:Discover why men benefit four to seven years more from romantic relationships than women do and what this means for building a thriving societyUnderstand the concept of surplus value and how becoming a man means generating more than you absorb economically, emotionally, and relationallyBreak through the myth that professional success alone creates fulfilling relationships and learn the three qualities women actually seek in partnersTransform your approach to relationships by putting away the scorecard and deciding what kind of person you want to be regardless of what others give backMaster the hidden crisis facing young men as big tech monetizes loneliness and sequesters an entire generation from real-world connections and skillsFor more information go to https://lewishowes.com/1854For more Greatness text PODCAST to +1 (614) 350-3960More SOG episodes we think you'll love:Gabor Maté – greatness.lnk.to/1849SCLewis Howes [SOLO] – greatness.lnk.to/1819SCJerry Wise – greatness.lnk.to/1747SC Get more from Lewis! The U.S. economy has already crashed. The stock market is just the last one to figure it out. In this essay, Max talks about what happens when hegemonic economies collapse and how the U.S. has been able to keep things afloat while the bottom falls out. He draws parallels to the crash of 1929 and the subsequent Depression and speaks to the differences. There is a path forward for Progressives but it won’t be a presidential run. The DNC will make sure of that. But we can borrow from Russell Vought’s playbook to build a coalition of support on the ground. Before the murders ever happened… long before the headlines, the courtroom footage, and the national spotlight… there was Washington State University. And inside that department, there was a trail. A documented pattern of complaints, warnings, meetings, and uncomfortable conversations all centered around one graduate student: Bryan Kohberger. Tonight on Hidden Killers, we walk through that trail — not with speculation, but with the actual documented behavior that students and faculty reported in real time. The staring. The boundary violations. The gender-based hostility. The “creepy” interactions people whispered about in hallways. The emails students sent with “911” in the subject line. The faculty members who openly worried about his escalating conduct. The office where grad students started keeping a tally board just to track his outbursts. And the mandatory behavioral training the department held, which insiders say was triggered by one person. This episode isn't about assigning responsibility for the Idaho murders to a university. It's about the uncomfortable, unavoidable question raised by Kaylee Goncalves' family: How many red flags does it take before an institution says, “This is not just a behavioral problem — this is a safety problem”? We break down the full timeline of disciplinary actions WSU took, the warnings they issued, and the gradual escalation that eventually led to Kohberger's removal as a TA — weeks after the murders. We also examine what universities can realistically do, what their limits are, and why so many institutions downplay patterned behavior right up until it becomes catastrophic. This is the conversation no one wants to have, but every victim's family is forced to confront: when the warning signs were documented, discussed, and recognized… why didn't they change anything? Join us as we follow the red flags to their uncomfortable conclusion. #HiddenKillers #BryanKohberger #WSU #TrueCrimeNews #IdahoCase #KayleeGoncalves #CrimeAnalysis #LegalDebate #SafetyFailures #TrueCrimeCommunity Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Some places don't feel haunted at first. They just feel… wrong. For her, it started with a nightmare — a warning from an aunt who shouldn't have been able to speak anymore. A single word: Leave. She tried to brush it off. Teenagers always think they're imagining things. But then came the fear that hit out of nowhere. The kitchen noises no one else heard. The violent crash of dishes that didn't leave a single mess behind. And finally, the shadow by the back door — solid enough to attack, gone before anything touched the ground. What do you do when the house behaves like it's alive, tearing itself apart one minute and standing perfectly still the next? When the warning you ignored starts sounding more like a countdown? This is the night she realized something in that tiny town wasn't just trying to scare her…It wanted her out. #RealGhostStoriesOnline #HauntedHouse #TrueGhostStory #ParanormalActivity #Poltergeist #ShadowFigure #DemonicHaunting #HauntedKitchen #SmallTownHaunting #GhostStoriesPodcast #CreepyStories #Supernatural Love real ghost stories?
