Episode 4: One Beer, One Loaf Welcome back to When You’re Bored as Hell! Sara and Christian start the episode off by discussing the change of seasons and how they feel about it. They then talk about their new healthy habits and how today’s drink of choice is good old fashioned water. The first topic of conversation is how gentrification is affecting Boston and how to go about it properly. Next, they talk about the new trend of ‘Hey Boomer’ and the controversy surrounding the term by being compared to the N-word. Sara and Christian then get into what they did for Halloween and how they love a party theme. Christian then shares a ridiculous news story he found about a man consecutively breaking into a woman’s house believing it was his. Sara runs through the NPR concert series, Tiny Desk, and they both share a list of performances they enjoyed. The last major discussion they have centers around Melania Trump visiting Boston Medical Center and the protests that ensued. Christian has mixed reviews about the event which sparks a great conversation between the two of them. This episode is a little late getting out to you guys, but consistently inconsistent if the new motto. We’ll be back in two weeks due to Christian’s surgery, so we wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving! We love you all and thank you tuning in; please comment, subscribe, share, and we will see you next time!!! Welcome back to When You’re Bored As Hell! As we update the listeners on the gradual decrease in weather in Boston, we start the podcast off by discussing times when we had to complete schoolwork while being under the influence and our shared experiences test anxiety. Christian updates us on how his arm is doing from his recent accident. Sara chats about the new Joker movie and what her opinions of the film were. We discuss the feminine hygiene brand Always and their decision to take the female symbol off of their products for inclusivity purposes, and how comfortable everyone should be buying products such as these. Meghan Markle is the topic of our next conversation, as we talk about the unnecessary slander she is receiving from the media. We then converse about the new Sesame Street character Karli, a muppet that shows children that being in foster care and coping with parents who suffer from addiction is something that many children go through as well. We had another crazy Florida man story. We bring up the fact that next year marks the 100th year since women won the right to vote. This topic leads to us discussing the new bronze statues of Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Sojourner Truth to convey the powerful women that helped create revolutionary change in the world. Thank you for listening, and we hope you enjoy!
