How large are the fellaz living? Somewhere between medium and large. Fitting, because Tim's got a hot new t-shirt from TWIOAT alumni, Nick from Prawn Salad (S01E29). We hear from our friends who have engaged with the Worst Idea cut of Joker 2 and we hear Guy unravel when Tim affirms his ability to decide whether or not he will watch the movie again. We also dig into reddit/r/TWIOAT to find out what's happening with Rob Schneider. He's not doing well, folks!See all our video episodes at: twioat.substack.com Hosted on Acast. Guy and Tim are BACK after a far longer absence than you may know. United in the bounds of fatherhood in a post-Joker 2 haze, your brave boiz are swapping stories of writers who insist on writing stories about writers, Guy's upcoming gig hosting a comedy show headlined by Tiffany Haddish, and Tim being on lots of drugs. This week on Panel Chewing Pick of the Week, Steve and Jarrod dive into another stack of comics and break down the books that stood out from the week's pull list. Before jumping into the comics, the conversation kicks off with a nostalgic look at the comic-magazine era. From Wizard Magazine to Comic Shop News, the hosts reflect on the lost culture of comic journalism and how the internet—and now social media—has changed how fans interact with the hobby. Then it's time to talk comics.Highlights this week include discussions on new releases like Absolute Superman #17, Astral Quantum #2, and Save Now #3, along with the finale of a recent Detective Comics arc and the latest chapter of Rick Remender's The Sacrificers. The guys also dig into indie titles, time-travel chaos, noir mysteries, and the continuing brilliance of Conan the Barbarian.A few books nearly steal the show, including:The Peril of the Brutal Dark — a noir mystery blending archaeology and pulp adventureAssorted Crisis Events #8 — a deeply emotional comic about fading relationships and lost connectionsConan the Barbarian #29 — an issue so strong it works even without Conan appearing until the final pageBut the biggest surprise of the week?Steve's Pick of the Week ends up being Batman #7, a haunting psychological story featuring a silent Joker, an uneasy conversation with Batman, and echoes of The Killing Joke. Finally, the hosts continue their Grant Morrison Batman group read, discussing issues 657–658 from the Batman and Son storyline. Damian Wayne enters the story with a bang—and not in a good way—raising questions about Batman's judgment and the darker implications of the character's introduction. If you're reading along, the next discussion will cover issues 663–664 after a short break.Send us a message (I'm not able to reply)Support the showPage Chewing Blog Page Chewing Forum Film Chewing PodcastSpeculative Speculations Podcast Support the podcast via PayPal Support the show by using our Amazon Affiliate linkJoin Riverside.fm Co-Hosts: Jarrod Varsha Chris Jose Carl D. En este episodio discutimos DC K.O. #5 y Batman #7 como libros de la semana, cerrando el épico torneo de DC K.O. con el ascenso del nuevo King Omega y el impactante regreso del Joker en Batman con el arte espectacular de Jorge Jimenez!
Jared Leto was the reigning Joker. Todd Phillips couldn't get the films he wanted to do off the ground. The DC range of movies was having a whole range of challenges for Warner Bros. And constant changes at the studio were leading to regular challenges of direction. In the midst of this, a relatively slim production, Joker, would have notable ramifications. Similarly slim, Cat's Eye marks the first credited screenplay for a man called Stephen King. But this too had challenges, when the original financing plan fell apart. And then, another film - Firestarter - had a bit of a knock-on effect... Stories of both are told in this episode. Please like/subscribe/leave nice reviews. Thank you! Our hosts return to the podcave and sit down to watch the episode that fills us in on the drama behind Dick Grayson's, "I quit" story, Old Wounds. Alex and Will discuss Dick's break-up with Barbara and Bruce, and how Batman causes the end of the Dynamic Duo. They also wonder if Joker was the right villain for this episode and how his plot could have easily been replaced by any member of Batman's rogues gallery. Plus, they wonder if Wayne Enterprises' board room is just full of people that Batman wronged. Barbara wonders what type of cave Bruce is leading her down into, and what the hell is Lucius Fox doing at Dick Grayson's graduation ceremony?Tip Jar: https://buymeacoffee.com/batmantaspod ThreadHeads 20% Off: https://www.threadheads.com/BATMANTASPOD87466Buy Our Merch: https://www.bleakworld.store/category/btas-podcast-collaborationOutbreaks Issue 4 Kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/speechcomics/outbreaks-1-4-an-ongoing-zombie-anthology-seriesMobster Mash 1-2 Kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/speechcomics/mobster-mash-1-2-classic-movie-monsters-as-mobsters Join Our Discord - https://discord.com/invite/bQF76V3nUs TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@batmantaspod?_t=8zn1yhsgnfz&_r=1 Follow us on YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/@batmantaspod Follow the Pod on Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/batmantaspod/ Follow the Pod on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/BatmanTASPod Follow the Pod on Twitter - https://twitter.com/batmantaspod1 Subscribe to Will's Patreon - https://www.patreon.com/willrobson Speech Comics Website - https://www.speechcomics.com/ Will's WhatNot Page - https://www.whatnot.com/user/speechcomics

Dre's out again but the guys start with shout outs to all the recent birthdays and recap PALentine's Day. Beav takes over the Top 5 and gives us the top NBA MVP candidates. In Quick Hits, they discuss the NFL Combine, Lu Dort trying to hurt Joker and Felix reviews a movie premire he attended recently. In Rule Breakers, they discuss their frustration with HS students using ai to enhance their football highlights, marathoners losing on a technicality, and 50 beefing with TI and his whole family. Enjoy!

Joker got angry after Lu Dort of OKC tripped him, and Charles Barkley said he understands Jokic's reaction. Also, I want to see fighting in basketball. What's the biggest issue with the Denver Nuggets - Injuries or coaching? We hear from David Adelman and Nikola Jokic. Head coach of University of Colorado's men's basketball team - Tad Boyle, hates technology in sports. We hear as he goes full boomer. Where will Kyler Murray end up? Maybe the New York Jets. Bengals just re-signed Colorado's own Dalton Risner to a 1 year deal. The Eagles have a high asking price for AJ Brown - will anyone take the bait? I make an against the grain prediction with the Colorado Rockies… They're going to be in the MLB playoff hunt this season. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Kevin Conroy was not just the voice of Batman to a generation of fans. He was the voice. In this live conversation from the San Francisco Comic Con in 2018, he pulls back the curtain on how he landed the role, why his classical theater training made him the perfect Dark Knight, and how the emotional core of Batman shaped every performance he gave. Kevin Conroy explains how his classical theater training and deep understanding of Batman's trauma helped him create a version of the character that felt real, grounded, and timeless. Conroy shares memorable Juilliard stories, including living with Robin Williams, which reveals both the humor and the serious craft behind great performance. He also discusses the creative chemistry between Batman and the Joker, especially his collaboration with Mark Hamill, and how strong scene partners helped elevate the animated series into something truly special. “I am vengeance. I am the night. I am Batman.” - Kevin Conroy Want more exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes stories from the people who bring your favorite characters to life? Who is the greatest live-action comic book or graphic novel villain of all time?On this episode of Moving Panels, we build the bracket that will decide exactly that. From iconic heavyweights like The Joker and Thanos… to television titans like Kingpin and Homelander… to graphic novel monsters straight out of Sin City… and yes, even Parker Posey's corporate chaos from Josie and the Pussycats — no villain is safe.We debate the rules. We define what makes a “great” villain. We argue about seeding. And we lock in the official Top 16.This is the episode where the chaos begins. The tournament starts now.
The Joker is back and so is Taylor Deathridge. Taylor isn’t to experience with the world of 60s Batman and she was more than willing to dive in with her wonderful perspective. The Joker invests in vending machines and high school sports gambling. It’s also the first episode that aired on The Family Channel when they started airing reruns in 1989. Another week, another set of factoids and weird stats that I hope you are enjoying in this retrospective look back at 60’s Batman as it turns 60 years old. The Denver Nuggets saw this game slip out of their hands in the 2nd Quarter and never could get a full grip of it back. The Timberwolves saw the 4th seed at the end of the tunnel and ran right for it. The T-Wolves had six players in double figures with three of them shooting 50% or better. Joker and Jamal took 48 of the 85 shots for the Nuggets and it led to the 'others' not finding their form in time. The Nuggets will play the Jazz at 7PM MT on Monday night. Jason Kosmicki was on the call!

Send a textWelcome back to the Back in Time Brothers Radio Show, where your hosts DJ Paulie and Lou bring you 40 years of pop culture straight from the record crates to your ears! This week, we are digging through the bargain bins to bring you "Diamonds in a Dumpster"—a hilarious and nostalgic look at the absolute worst albums released by legendary artists, and the one redeeming track that managed to survive the wreckage. In this jam-packed episode, we're serving up an incredible variety of retro goodness:The Top 10 Countdown with Brit: We spin the "best of the worst" tracks from brilliant bands who completely missed the mark. Hear the chaotic backstories and the lone musical gems from Aerosmith's Nine Lives, The Rolling Stones' Dirty Work, Kiss's Unmasked, David Bowie's Never Let Me Down, and the disastrous Gary Cherone era of Van Halen.Rock Talk with Todd Snyder: Take a deep dive down the rabbit hole of the most expensive and delayed rock album in history—Guns N' Roses' Chinese Democracy. Todd breaks down the insane 15-year, $13 million production that included a dog-poop-scented chicken coop for guitarist Buckethead, a spiritual "aura" reader, and a disastrous Dr. Pepper giveaway.Movies Retro Style: DJ Paulie and Lou go head-to-head debating the best and worst actors to ever portray iconic movie characters. Find out who reigns supreme (and who failed miserably) playing Willy Wonka, Jack Ryan, Catwoman, Freddy Krueger, Robin Hood, and The Joker.TV Time: We take a hilarious look at the worst television shows ever made that were canceled after just one single episode. You won't believe some of these premises, including a 1990 British sitcom with a jaw-droppingly offensive historical premise that was immediately yanked from the airwaves.Busted! & Random Facts: As always, we kick things off with a roundup of the world's dumbest criminals—including a car thief who got caught because he was too busy playing Grand Theft Auto, and a diamond thief whose own coughing fit betrayed him. Plus, stick around for mind-blowing retro trivia about The Matrix digital rain, George Washington's real teeth, and the irony of ZZ Top.Forget where you are, remember where you were, and turn up the volume.
