This week, our episode is for anyone whose brain just… won't turn off. Jess and Karli dive into overthinking, indecision, and the mental loops that come with trying to make the “right” choice, realizing that even the smallest daily decisions are often rooted in something deeper: anxiety, control, and perfectionism. They unpack how these patterns show up in their everyday lives, relationships, and routines, and how constantly trying to optimize for their “future selves” can leave them feeling drained in the present. It's an honest look into what it's like to be aware of your overthinking but still feel stuck in it without having all the answers or solutions.
Matthew, Clarke, and their dear friend Karli talk, laugh, and discuss topics like her journey within CBC MTI (Ministry Training Institute), how Passion 2025 inspired them, and what they'd like to see the college ministry at CBC grow into. Enjoy! :)Socials / More GHM Content:https://linktr.ee/GospelHouse_Ministries
Episode 07: Choosing from Your New Identity, Even When It's HardThis episode is for you if:— You've been waiting to feel ready, settled, or more like yourself before you show up— You're in a hard season right now and wondering whether to push through or hold back— You know what you should do - but the conditions don't feel right yet— You've noticed that waiting for the feeling keeps you exactly where you are— You want to understand what choosing from identity actually looks like in practice - not in theoryIn this episode, we explore:— Why waiting to feel ready is still a choice - just the old one— What the pull to not show up actually sounds like from the inside— The difference between who you feel like today and who you've decided to be— Why the feeling follows the action - not the other way around— Why hard moments aren't a sign you're doing it wrong - they're where the real work happens— What 'doing it first' actually means - and what it doesn'tThis episode almost didn't happen.Karli recorded it in the middle of a ‘character building' week - less time than usual, a lot happening personally, and every reason to wait until things felt more settled. In this episode, she shares what the pull to not show up actually sounds like, and what kept her choosing anyway. Not a pep talk. Not a highlight reel. Just an honest account of what the decision looks like from the inside - when everything in you wants to wait, and you choose anyway.Because hard moments aren't reserved for people who haven't done enough work. Everyone has them. What changes is who you choose to be inside them. You don't need to do anything with this episode. Just notice what stays with you after listening. That's usually the part that matters.
Send us Fan MailA decade ago, Alex Klintworth and his wife Karli began studying nutrition science literature in a successful pursuit to heal their own health struggles. His engineering background has been instrumental in all aspects of his second career: Engineering in research – understanding complex systems from first principles, analyzing data, and interpreting statistics, and; Engineering in metabolic health coaching – optimizing solutions for individual goals, contexts, and human variability, and communicating vital scientific concepts to a broad audience.Alex's coaching practice focuses on empowering individuals to take an active role in their own health journey through education and collaborative decision-making. His clients regularly experience meaningful improvements in metabolic markers like blood sugar and triglycerides, but more importantly they feel energized, clear-minded, and reconnected with their bodies. Many have worked safely with their doctors to reduce or eliminate medications for conditions they once thought were permanent including diabetes, high cholesterol, anxiety, depression, and reflux.Find Alex and Karli at-https://www.hienergylife.com/Podcast and Blog- https://www.hienergylife.com/blogFind Boundless Body at-myboundlessbody.comBook a session with us here!

In this episode, Jess and Karli talk about something many of us think about but rarely say out loud: our relationship with food. From “food noise” and the constant inner dialogue around what, when, and how much to eat, to the all-or-nothing mindset, cravings, and guilt, this conversation dives into the mental load that comes with eating in today's world. Karli shares her journey from binge and restrict cycles as a D1 athlete to finding food freedom, while Jess opens up about being in the thick of it— unlearning old habits and trying to feel more in control. Together, they unpack the tension between nourishment and deprivation, the impact of how we grew up eating, and why “just eat the donut” isn't always that simple. This episode isn't about having all the answers, but hopefully it reminds you that if your brain feels loud around food, you're not alone.

This week, Jess and Karli dive into how seasons and weather impact mental health. They explore how each season shapes their mood, energy, and routines from the high of summer to the slower pace of winter. They also unpack why this happens, touching on everything from our ancestors' lifestyles to vitamin D, daylight savings, and the concept of "summer break" following us into adulthood.Along the way, they share personal insights on seasonal transitions, and yes, the very important debate of when Christmas decorations come down. If you've ever felt like a different version of yourself depending on the season, this episode will make you feel a lot less alone.
Episode 06: Why You Never Feel Good Enough - and Why Healing It Keeps You StuckThis episode is for you if:— You've spent years trying to heal the 'not good enough' feeling - and it's still there— You know intellectually that you're capable, but still hold back from being fully seen— You've noticed the pattern across multiple areas of your life - work, money, relationships, visibility— You've tried affirmations, journalling, therapy - and wonder why the story keeps coming back— You're ready for a different conversation about this - one that isn't about fixing, but about choosingIn this episode, we explore:— Why returning to the 'not good enough' story - even to heal it - reinforces it— What the brain actually does with repeated stories, real or imagined - and why this changes everything— The difference between healing a pattern and choosing a different assumption— How the same story showed up across work, money, business, and visibility - and what it actually looked like— Why 'not good enough' is an identity pattern, not a life sentence— What changes when you stop waiting to feel ready - and start rehearsing a different story insteadMost of us have tried to heal the 'not good enough' story. Understand where it came from. Process it. Give it space. In this episode, Karli shares why that approach kept her stuck - and what actually changed things. Not healing. Choosing. This is the episode about the 12 takes, the filtered face, the raise she never asked for, and the quiet NLP moment that made everything shift: if the brain can't tell the difference between a real memory and a vividly imagined one - then you're not stuck with the groove you've already carved. You can create a new one. Deliberately. It was never true. It was just the story she kept rehearsing. You don't need to do anything with this episode. Just notice what stays with you after listening. That's usually the part that matters.

Episode 05: The Same Pattern in a Boho Dress: What Happens When You Manifest the Dream - and the Old Loop Follows You ThereThis episode is for you if:— You've manifested something you really wanted - and found the same patterns waiting for you there— You've gone through a season where everything looked right on the outside but felt wrong on the inside— You've been through a slow, private realisation that you were the common denominator — and didn't know what to do with that— You're somewhere between hope and inevitability, and you need to hear that the gap is normalIn this episode, we explore:— What happens when you manifest the outcome but haven't changed who you're being— The difference between manifesting something and becoming someone— The blame stage - and the uncomfortable turn inward that follows— What the real identity work actually looked and felt like, from the inside— Why the 'oh shit' moment is often the beginning of everything— The shift from hope to quiet determination - to inevitabilityThis is a waking-up story. Karli sold everything, hit the road in a caravan with her family, and manifested the big dream - only to find the same patterns waiting for her in Byron Bay. In this episode, she shares the late nights alone with a book, the quiet moment that changed everything, and what the real work actually looked like when she finally turned inward. This isn't a story about things going wrong. It's a story about finally understanding how they work. You don't need to do anything with this episode. Just notice what stays with you after listening. That's usually the part that matters.
Episode 04: From Law of Attraction to Law of AssumptionWhat actually changed - and why the bay leaf probably actually workedThis episode is for you if:— You started with The Secret - and felt like you were doing it wrong— You've tried the rituals, the affirmations, the high vibe monitoring - and something still hasn't clicked— You've wondered whether manifesting actually works, or whether it just works for other people— You're in the gap between what you know internally and what your reality is currently showing youIn this episode, we explore:— Why the 'high vibe only' approach creates more pressure than results— The bay leaf story - and what it actually proves about how manifestation works— The difference between Law of Attraction and Law of Assumption— Why you've been manifesting in every single moment - even when you thought it wasn't working— What identity work actually looks like when life applies real pressure— The gap between internal assumption and external reality - and how to stay in it without resettingMost of us started with The Secret. High vibe, rituals, moon phases - and the quiet guilt when it still wasn't working. In this episode, Karli shares her own journey from Law of Attraction to Law of Assumption, including the bay leaf that probably worked all along, the caravan, the rental crisis, and the apartment she assumed was already hers before she'd even applied. This isn't a strategy episode. It's a story about what actually changes when you stop trying to attract something - and start assuming it's already yours. You don't need to do anything with this episode. Just notice what stays with you after listening. That's usually the part that matters.

Today on the Dream Makers Podcast I'm sitting down with Karli Whitwell - and we are going deep into identity, manifestation, self-trust and what actually happens when you hit the edge of your comfort zone.Because here's the truth - most people don't fail... they just tap out the moment it gets uncomfortable. In this conversation we talk about:- Identity stabilisation and why you keep snapping back to the old version of you- Manifestation beyond the fluffy stuff — becoming the person who can actually hold the result- The tap out vs lean in moment (this is EVERYTHING)- Nervous system regulation for entrepreneurs and creatives- Self-trust in business and how you slowly erode it without realising- Money mindset, money identity and the relationship you truly have with income- Why discomfort doesn't mean you're unsafe - it means you're expandingThis episode is for women, creatives, entrepreneurs - Dream Makers building something real. The coach. The artist. The business owner. The mama with a vision in her chest. The creative who knows they're meant for more.We talk about staying.Staying when it's quiet.Staying when it's wobbly.Staying when it would be easier to pivot, quit or make it mean something about you.Because your vision isn't a cute idea. It's a commitment. And the micro-moment where you choose not to tap out? That's the quantum leap.We also speak about my upcoming book Let Your Vision Be Bigger Than Your Bullsh*t (at the time of recording we're just days away from celebrating the launch
Zoe Karli is in control–at least that's the way she likes it. As a former military officer who also comes from a military family, Zoe is used to things changing...like a lot. As in living in 44 states alot. Instead of letting the change upend her, she calls them "adventures". One "adventure", however, left her helpless: seizures. They threatened to sideline her, and she dipped into a little bit of the "why me" camp. But then came the reframing: she had a CHOICE to either be her own ally or her own enemy. And she conquered it. Listen to her talk to Max about her experience and how it affects her to this day, not to mention how she and her husband navigate owning and running a biotech business. This week, Jess & Karli share a behind-the-scenes look at their whirlwind Super Bowl weekend in San Francisco-recorded straight from their hotel lobby. What started as a trip booked with no plan, no credentials, and no connections- quickly turned into a lesson in trusting their craft, adapting in real time, and creating opportunity where none existed. They reflect on plans coming together and falling apart mid-flight, navigating uncertainty with poise and confidence, and showing up professionally in rooms they were never guaranteed access to. From the energy of Radio Row to meaningful interviews with Peyton Manning, George Kittle, Gary Vee, Carmelo Anthony, and Jaxson Dart, this episode pulls back the curtain on what it really took to break into major media moments. The conversation also touches on the emotional highlights of the weekend, including hosting an intimate Only Human Pilates event, and Karli getting a surprise interview with her childhood idols.

This week, Jess and Karli dive into the surprisingly common but rarely talked about experience of being a “floater friend.” What does it mean to feel like you have friends but aren't part of a core group? How do comparison, life milestones, and past experiences shape that feeling? They unpack the vulnerability of wanting to feel chosen, the challenges of initiating friendships, and how even people with close-knit friend groups can relate. Plus, they recap a busy and fulfilling week, including their Only Human Pilates event at Pulse Yoga & Fitness and a live show for the seniors at Karli's alma mater.
[Historic American Art] Today we dive into the life and career of Emma Stebbins, a neoclassical sculpture artist from the 19th century. Joining us on the show is Heckscher Museum Chief Curator Karli Wurzelbacher, who recently curated an exhibition on Stebbins. The artist may be best known for the Bethesda Fountain in New York City's Central Park. The Heckscher Museum of Art's exhibition, Emma Stebbins: Carving Out History, is now open at the New York museum through March 15, 2026. In this episode, Jess and Karli dive into the concept of “life purgatory”— that weird in-between season where you have clarity on what you want, you're doing the work, and yet… things still aren't clicking into place. They unpack the anxiety and emotional toll of waiting, the pressure of comparing timelines when others are moving forward while you feel stagnant, and the push-pull between hustling for what you want vs. trusting what's meant for you will arrive.
In this episode of Only Human, Karli and Jess dive into that unmistakable feeling of clarity, creativity, and presence that shows up when we step outside our normal routines. They explore how changing your environment can fundamentally shift your mindset, nervous system, and sense of self, unpacking the neuroscience behind familiarity — why our brains cling to routine (even when it no longer serves us) — and how novelty plays a key role in neuroplasticity and personal growth.Karli shares her transformative experience of quitting her corporate job at 25 and moving solo to Australia for two months, opening up about the fear, loneliness, homesickness, and unexpected freedom that came with doing something radically unfamiliar. The episode also touches on big life transitions, including Jess's thoughts on relocating to Florida, redefining community, and designing a life that feels aligned. This conversation is a reminder that you don't need all the answers to take action and you don't need to uproot your entire life to introduce change. Sometimes novelty starts with a single decision, a new environment, or the courage to break autopilot.

What followed was a complete transformation that reshaped not only his body, but his mindset, career, and mission.Together, they dive into testosterone optimization, mental health in men, the psychology of discipline, and why process, suffering, and systems are unavoidable if you want real change. The conversation expands into cutting-edge regenerative medicine, AI-driven stem cell therapy, and the ethical questions surrounding longevity; including whether living longer actually means living better. Key Takeaways-Hormonal health is foundational to both physical and mental performance-Discipline is doing the work long after motivation fades-True transformation comes from systems, not shortcuts-Longevity without mobility and quality of life is a hollow win-Suffering is not the enemy, it's part of growth-The future of medicine will be personalized, data-driven, and ethically complex Connect with me :https://link.me/theshawnfrench?fbclid=PAZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAaY2s9TipS1cPaEZZ9h692pnV-rlsO-lzvK6LSFGtkKZ53WvtCAYTKY7lmQ_aem_OY08g381oa759QqTr7iPGADavid Karlihttps://www.instagram.com/davidkarli/ Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. In this week's episode, Jess and Karli begin with a conversation about the Beckham family, using recent headlines as a lens to discuss how family dynamics, especially during the holidays, are often oversimplified and sensationalized when they play out publicly. They then address the Nikki Bella and Cooper DeJean dating rumor and examine why we feel entitled to explanations, fascinated by age gaps, and committed to speed over accuracy when it comes to celebrity news. Lastly, they break down a viral Flyers announcer hot-mic moment, looking beyond the shock value of what was said to talk about intent, accountability, and embarrassment.
Karli's making a virtual stop in Arkansas to talk with AP coordinator Greg Puckett, whose experience running a large-scale AP program brings tons of insight—and plenty of personality—to the conversation. They trade stories, swap tips, and compare road trip snacks like true travel buddies. In this week's episode, Jess and Karli start off by debriefing Jess's interaction with Alex Warren this weekend and how it highlighted the humanity that often gets lost when people rise to fame quickly. They then unpack Jacob Elordi's viral paparazzi interaction, digging into the entitlement culture around celebrity access, the economics of paparazzi, and how parasocial relationships have blurred the line between public figure and public property. They finish by reflecting on Jelly Roll's appearance on Joe Rogan, discussing his journey through incarceration, addiction, massive health transformation, and an emotional full-circle moment as he gets inducted as a member of the Grand Ole Opry.

In this episode of Only Human, Jess and Karli kick off a new season by sharing where the podcast is headed and why they're shifting toward a more accessible, casual format. They dive into pop culture moments through a mental health lens, including the breakup of Alix Earle and Braxton Berrios and the emotional weight of navigating relationships while on Dancing with the Stars. They also discuss Kelsea Ballerini's recent confrontation with a fan on stage, Kate Winslet's strong stance on plastic surgery, and the release of Summer House's Season 10 trailer. They speculate on the anxiety that can come with being on reality TV, losing control of your narrative, and being judged by millions before you've even had a chance to explain your side. This new season of Only Human is for anyone who loves pop culture, analyzing the psychology behind fame, and conversations that go deeper than the headlines!
