It is a tool for self-discovery and enjoying life with more ease. 03:01 – This week's theme is: Love and Other Drugs! 03:06 – The week's three big things are: First, Uranus stations direct on the World Point of 15 Taurus, so we may see some high-profile events. This energy is most intense five days before and after the station. Will there be news about the women in Iran and Afghanistan? Will we see the big split of a famous marriage? (Tune in to hear about Melania Trump's chart.) Finally, with this station, we have "all systems go": All planets are in direct motion until April 21. What do you want to launch? 07:13 – Second, the Sun is on Altair (1 Aquarius), a fixed star of boldness and military power. One representation is that of the eagle, for action and strength. Also, Mercury is conjunct fixed star Facies (8 Capricorn), the eye of the archer. It gives penetrating vision and focused energy. Feel the determination to achieve your goals. 08:35 – Third, Venus enters Pisces, the sign of its exaltation. Here, Venus has essential dignity. Celeste discusses horary astrology (the astrology of burning questions!). When a planet is exalted, it has honor and is illustrious and remarkable; Venus is lifted up here, an invited guest who receives honors. (One interesting example is the chart of Meghan Markle!) Pisces is the sign of all-encompassing love. Venus in Pisces is like a poet, a ballerina, or a singer who can express deep love. It's a wonderful time to do things related to the arts or music. Try to avoid overindulging in bad habits or unhealthy escapism. 12:55 – On Sunday, the theme is SEPARATION. This day will be difficult for some as there is breakup energy. If you or a loved one needs some time alone, honor it. 15:27 – On Monday, the word of the day is STORMY. Bring your emotional umbrella. People's moods may be volatile. The Moon enters Pisces at 9:35 am PT. 16:45 – Tuesday's focus is FREEDOM. Nurture your desire to make independent choices for your life. The Waxing crescent Moon is at 19 Pisces at 5:42 pm PT. 17:47 – On Wednesday, the word is ENTHUSIASTIC. Move your body to process the fire energy! The Moon enters Aries at 10:47 am PT. 18:30 – On Thursday, the theme is EXALTATION. Raise someone up today! Honor their talents! Venus enters Pisces at 6:32 pm PT. 19:08 – On Friday, the emphasis is PLEASURE. Enjoy sensual delights. The Moon enters Taurus at 3:42 pm PT. 19:47 – On Saturday, the word is CHOICES. Always choose integrity. The FQ Moon is at 8 Taurus at 7:18 am. 21:55 – Thanks for listening to Celestial Insights! EPISODE 102: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:43) SPECIAL COMMENT No. 1: George Santos is the Brian Williams of politics. I joked last week "If that IS your real name." Now there's question as to whether or not it is. And about where he went to HIGH SCHOOL. And the time he claimed he was black. And about how he could get Kevin McCarthy elected speaker - and get him fired later. As the Feds begin to follow his equally dubious campaign money, I repeat my plea to Democrats: don't try to keep him from being seated by the House of Representatives next Tuesday. After it dawned on me that the comp for Santos is my unfortunate former friend Brian Williams, it also dawned on me that there might still be a way for Santos to worm his way out of it. And that's also reflected in the saga of the George Santos of 1954: Congressman Douglas Stringfellow of Arizona. B-Block (18:36) SPECIAL COMMENT No. 2: There is method to the January 6th Committee's madness of waiting until the Christmas-New Year's Break to release its final report and these fascinating deposition transcripts. I think they did it to shield the recommendation to invoke the Insurrection Clause of the 14th Amendment. As a bonus yesterday we got testimony that Kim Guilfoyle is an idiot, and that Melania Trump lived in mortal fear of being seen in her robe by Rudy Giuliani. B-Block (33:51) IN SPORTS: The death of Pele, an analysis of the athletic gifts that made him his game's greatest ever, and his surprising legacy in New York and the United States. (37:55) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: Bad reporting at The New York Times, New York Magazine, and Politico is no match for - as Scottish tweeter Al Kennedy wrote - "I have to hand it to Andrew Tate, this is the first time I've seen someone be so outwitted by a teenager that they end up in jail without it involving a dog that solves fake ghost mysteries." C-Block (43:21) FRIDAYS WITH JAMES THURBER: His most reprinted story: "The Night The Bed Fell."See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

[Apologies for the audio - it was raining pretty hard here and the power kept cutting off]“We had to do something [in Bush v. Gore], because countries were laughing at us. France was laughing at us.” ― Antonin Scalia, The Nine: Inside the Secret World of the Supreme CourtI grew up in the 1980s thinking my vote didn't matter. I became an “election denier” because that is what the Democrats have always been. I grew up with cynicism and mild hatred of the government. My childhood was spent living through the last time the Democrats took a major fall, from Richard Nixon to Ronald Reagan with Watergate and Carter in between. Democrats felt hopeless until Bill Clinton came along in 1992. He was the first Democrat to serve two full terms since FDR. But by 1999, the cynicism was back because Bill Clinton had been impeached, the party humiliated, and our last best hope hung on the Vice President, Al Gore, the man with no charisma to speak of. I was one of those angry Democrats in 2000 who watched the Supreme Court stop counting ballots that handed the presidency to George W. Bush. We weren't thinking about the reasons Gore might have lost, like gun control. We blamed the Court, and we blamed Florida. We blamed Ralph Nader. We blamed everyone but ourselves. The Supreme Court was corrupt, we believed. So were all of those operatives in the GOP that rigged the election for Bush. A rigged election would result in two wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. If only the Supreme Court hadn't “selected” Bush. I remember Oliver Stone's film Nixon, his best, which suggested that Nixon had JFK assassinated so he could one day rise. And rise he did. To Stone, though, that caused the Vietnam war and all the ravages that followed. That is some election-denying. Nixon himself had believed that the 1960 election had been rigged. After all, he and Trump are still the only two people to have won Florida, Iowa, and Ohio and lost the presidency. Nixon chose not to object to any of it. Trump chose to fight. Back then, the Left felt Nixon's win was so destructive that it ended everything for them: their optimism and their counter-culture revolution. Warren Beatty made the film Shampoo to suggest that they were all involved in silly narcissistic games before Nixon won and the world ended. They all blamed Nixon for Vietnam. But they also resented him for ending the 1960s for good. Coming out of the 2000 election, our main complaint was that Gore gave in too easily and quickly. Many of us thought he should have dug his heels in and fought harder and that we all should have been more insistent in objecting. That's another word for protests. We didn't because we were still burned from the landslide loss in 1972, blamed on the the Left's anti-war protests. Some protests started around that time, like against the World Trade Organization. But it wouldn't be until the $700 billion bailout that a whole protest movement would rise, Occupy Wall Street on the Left, and eventually, the Tea Party would form on the Right. Something was happening that would only grow as more people got online and were more connected than ever before. By 2016, we were again in a protesting state of mind, and we believed America belonged not to Trump, not to his supporters. But to us. Anyone who pretends like we accepted Trump's win is lying. There has never been an elected president with that many forces working together to take him out of office. Never. There have never been worldwide protests against the election of a US president. There have never been the kinds of violent protests we had in this country over an elected president. We didn't hold “not my president” rallies and pay investigators to see if Russians had hacked voting machines. We never had nervous breakdowns, we never had so many marches. Clearly, we all viewed Trump's win as an invasion of a foreign entity, or a virus, that had to be immediately purged. We did not accept him as the legitimate president. We were ELECTION DENIERS. From The Hill:“According to data from the latest Harvard-Harris poll provided exclusively to The Hill, 68 percent of voters said Democrats have not accepted that Trump won fairly and is a legitimate president. That figure includes 69 percent of Republicans, 69 percent of independents and 65 percent of Democrats.”One of the reasons Kari Lake is such a strong candidate is that she comes from the media and has no problem calling them out on their hypocrisy and their double standard:It was much bigger than a violent riot at the Capitol and lawsuits by Trump and his supporters who insisted there was “widespread fraud.” No, the FBI was involved when the establishment got in on it. The media was on board. And by 2020, they were willing to crash the economy to ensure Trump was brought down.We were now not only of a protesting state of mind, but of a revolutionary state of mind. We called Trump an “existential threat” because waves of mass hysteria consumed us for the four years he was in office. The Me Too movement and, eventually, the Black Lives Matter movement would lead to witch hunts, and mass firings, and a climate of fear. We all believed that all we had to do was get rid of Trump, and everything would return to normal. If you take the largest protests in American history under the four years Trump was in power and then think about the Summer of 2020, you can see how the Left of this country was ready for Civil War just to take Trump out of power. The weird thing was that they could not paint the Trump supporters as equally violent. The Proud Boys showed up; there were sometimes brawls. They would be armed and forming a kind of citizen army to protect property, like Kyle Rittenhouse. But they weren't violent the same way the Left had become. They weren't burning buildings or assaulting police officers. In fact, if anything, they prided themselves on being non-violent. That is why January 6th was so out of character for them. Even a large protest in DC that day was out of character for them. It meant a lot to have their collective voices heard.I'd been, out of curiosity, following the Stop the Steal movement on The War Room podcast. I knew what they were planning to do. They wanted to have Senators Josh Hawley and Ted Cruz debate how the election laws had been suddenly altered, using COVID as the pretext. Trump supporters were watching his speech, not planning to bust into the Capitol and stop the count, certainly not to overthrow the government. That is its own “big lie,” and it's ugly. These are patriots who love their country. The last thing they would want to do is overthrow or destroy it. Whatever was going on with the Oathkeepers, and the breach had nothing directly to do with Trump and seemed to be driven by someone else's plan. The only explanation was that the FBI had to have been involved. When you read up on the Gretchen Whitmer kidnapping story in Esquire, where there were more informants than kidnappers, it's clear that this FBI was prepared to go the distance to do what they could to meddle in the 2020 election. That story will not be told for a while, but if the GOP takes the House, maybe it will. For four years, Trump supporters watched their president attacked every day, with everything he said cherry-picked and thrown into the media churn to drive the news cycle. They watched them mock Kellyanne Conway's age and Sarah Huckabee Sanders' makeup, the size of Trump's hands, his hair, his family. Since Trump was never accepted as the legitimate president, no fashion magazine would have Melania Trump on the cover. To do so was to met with vicious attacks on Twitter. The idea that the President deserved respect from the country was abandoned. Democracy? What Democracy? We're in charge. Get out of our country. Get out of our White House. The one thing they couldn't do, though, was defeat Trump. They still can't. It took $400 million to fund private companies to collect ballots, change election laws in the swing states, and a completely biased propaganda news media to twist the narrative and gaslight the public to make sure everyone knew what to do on Election day. And even then, Biden barely won.Democracy says that if someone campaigns to win the vote of the people, then that vote should be respected. Democrats don't believe that, unless a Democrat is in power. Now, they're trying everything they can to subvert Democracy to block Trump from even making a run for office. Does that sound like people who have faith in American elections? But good luck trying to have this conversation with anyone on the Left. They will shut you down. Their game is that they get to say what happened, how it happened and why it happened. They are fed a narrative that they believe. Few will question any of it for fear of being called a “conspiracy theorist.” If you bring up the hypocrisy of 2016 and 2020, Democrats will always say, “but we didn't breach the Capitol.” They might not have breached the Capitol on Inauguration Day, but they breached the Capitol in Michigan and Wisconsin in years prior: Then they say, well we weren't trying to stop the peaceful transfer of power. Okay, but what do you call what happened with Justice Kavanaugh? What do you call pressuring Senators to vote your way? When you watch the Kavanaugh hearing back, it's easy to see just how unhinged the Left already was. Then they will next say that they aren't politically violent. But we know they are:The assassin who wanted to kill Kavanaugh had zip ties. So did the man who broke into the Pelosi home. Do you think the media treated these two incidents similarly? I know the people whose power might be challenged tonight will not take it well. Just look at recent history. They've successfully flipped the script to make MAGA the violent side, the “election-denying” side. But in the next few years, we'll see protests that make 2020 look like child's play. When laws start to change, and the Conservatives start pulling our country Right, those who are used to having control of everything aren't going to go along with a “peaceful transfer of power.” For years after Reagan won in 1980, the Left was powerless. By the time Barack Obama won in 2008, they could take control of nearly every corner of American life, culturally and politically. They influenced and redefined almost everything. They built an empire - a new “shining city on the hill.” To hold onto that, they have been willing to take political protests to the extreme, exploit our formerly objective media, and outright lie about the people they share this country with. But worst of all, they have been consumed by fear. They have become so panicked they imagine all sorts of terrible things. They see it in their mind's eye, and to them, it's real, just like witches flying around Salem and “spectral evidence,” which is evidence you can't see but can only imagine. They never had a utopia to lose so they don't know how to handle it. They just want to be what they used to be. They want to be admired as the best and the brightest, living their best lives, showcasing those lives on social media, tinkering with their re-imagined America, with a president they like and admire watching over them. Now, their utopia is crumbling. The Hillary feminist that represents the base of the Democratic Party is now being asked to step aside for transgender rights. That's why Gretchen Whitmer has to say, “People with periods.” The Hillary feminist that marched with the pink hats and screamed at Kavanaugh is fading. That, probably more than anything else, marks a major pendulum shift they never saw coming. So who are they now? How do they define themselves? They can only see Trump. The thing they fear. It's all Trump all the time. Their unprecedented prime-time show trial did the exact opposite of what they thought it would do. They expected it would look important, which would scare his supporters away. But all it did was make him look more powerful. Worse, it made our country look ridiculous, weak, and terrified. Whatever you might think of Trump, the fact that he looms as large as he does proves that there is no leadership on the Left. As of writing this, I do not know how the midterm elections will turn out. But I know that the people who control the Democrats now, the loudest voices on Twitter, and the massive media machine that does their bidding are fueled by an ongoing hysteria based on ongoing delusions. They have gone all the way to the most extreme every time. They've been this afraid for six years since Trump won. They are strung out, desperate. How much longer before they upend American Democracy completely to make sure nobody like Trump ever has a shot at running for president? Their fear will get worse until they understand that this country, its culture, and its government, economy, and history don't just belong to them. It belongs to all of us. The grassroots movement on the Right challenging them today is not going anywhere any time soon. Justice Roberts granted a Stay to former President Donald Trump in the most recent attempt to get his tax returns to Congress after denials from the District Court and the Court of Appeal. Throughout this time, Trump has argued that he shouldn't have to release his returns as they are confidential and always under audit. Scott interviews Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, who served as executive producer and adviser to the Inaugural Committee for Donald Trump, as well as an advisor to Melania Trump in this first part of a multi-part interview. Winston Wolkoff authored the revelatory NY Times #1 best-selling book: Melania and Me, an intimate look at her now broken relationship with the former first lady and President Trump. Before her work with the Trump inaugural and former first lady, Stephanie enjoyed a successful three-decade career in the fashion entertainment industry where she worked as a Public Relations Manager and an Event Fashion Director for Vogue Magazine, the place where she first formed a relationship in 2003 with Donald's then-girlfriend, Melania. Stephanie would go on to attend the Trumps' wedding and baby shower, and lunched with Melania frequently, then considering the two to be dear friends. After Vogue, Winston Wolkoff went on to produce some of the most significant events in the world, like Fashion's Night Out and the Style Awards. She also served as the founding fashion director for the Lincoln Center and much more. In our interview, Stephanie explains that Melania and later Ivanka Trump asked her to join the 2017 inaugural committee. She tells us, “I was so honored to be asked. Having produced all the events that I've done and being a part of history - I felt an obligation. How could I say no to produce in the presidential inauguration?” Winston Wolkoff gives our listeners an in-depth look at the inaugural committee as a chaotic array of vendors and ever-expanding budgets marching in different directions. She attempted to raise concerns about questionable spending and preparations back in 2017 but was consistently silenced by her peers. “The Met Gala was a piece of cake compared to planning the presidential inauguration,” Stephanie went on to tell us, “It [the inaugural] was like a circus, and I didn't realize that I was going to be the woman blown out of the cannon!” It has been widely reported that Stephanie's firm was paid over $26m by the committee, with $25m of that amount being used for inaugural productions. But surprisingly, Stephanie cannot confirm that any of the $1.6 million budgeted to her firm for running the inaugural was actually sent to her personally. “Where did that $1.6m go?” asked Scott. Stephanie revealed that many third-party vendors were actually being double-paid, outlining how the inaugural committee regularly approved frivolous expenses - like $50,000 LED screens - for the one-time event. “That's where… ‘red sirens' kept going off,” Winston Wolkoff explained. “Instinctively, I know that when something doesn't seem right, you just express it to the people that are in charge. And so I did openly, constantly.” She also confirms, as she did to the US Attorney General's office, that the Trump family and the family business profited from the inaugural committee. “There's no doubt about that, Stephanie said. “The receipts are there.” This post contains affiliate links.

Hour 1 - Good Thursday morning! Here's what Nick Reed covers this hour: President Biden is reportedly preparing to ease sanctions on socialist Venezuela to allow a U.S. oil company to resume production there, which comes as OPEC announced early Wednesday that it would be significantly cutting oil production. First Lady Jill Biden wore similar shoes as Melania Trump did to tour hurricane damage. The media was silent about Jill, but went nuts about Melania.
“Corruption chic” is in. That's according to The Conservateur, a new “D.C.-based fashion-and-lifestyle platform” from some of conservative fashion's most elite, who, upset over Vogue snubbing Melania Trump, are now throwing in their political views with a cute new pair of shoes–or ankle monitors–in their own attempt at creating content. Michael Schaffer, a senior editor at Politico whose Capital City column runs weekly in Politico Magazine, tells hosts Will Sommer and Kelly Weill in this episode of The Daily Beast's Fever Dreams podcast that while he doesn't think Anna Wintour is losing a lot of sleep, the “MAGA answer to Vogue” has landed, and it's already making headlines. In this week's “Fresh Hell” segment, the hosts discuss the right's reaction and misreporting to the emerging trend of colorful fentanyl pills dubbed rainbow fentanyl. Hosted on Acast. Hour 1 - Nick Reed talks about a variety of topics in the news, including: Sen. Bill Eigel, (R-Weldon Spring), along with four other Republican senators, Sen. Mike Moon (R-Ash Grove), Sen. Denny Hoskins (R-Warrensburg), Sen. Andrew Koenig (R-Manchester), and Sen. Rick Brattin (R-Harrisonville), released a letter Monday saying it's time for the Conservative Caucus group to disband. Legal experts say a decade-old case over audio tapes that Bill Clinton once kept in his sock drawer may have significant impact over the FBI search of Melania Trump's closet and Donald Trump's personal office. The Springfield News-Leader has a story about the Student African American Brotherhood and how the contract to expand within SPS was narrowly approved Tuesday in a 4-3 board vote. Nick reads through the entire piece and has several questions that the News-Leader failed to answer: What IS the Student African American Brotherhood and WHAT do they do?

On Monday's Mark Levin Show, Donald Trump is the biggest threat that the ruling class has ever faced and now they're coming after him to get to you. The espionage act cannot be applied to a President and was never even intended to be applied to a former president, and to do so would be unconstitutional. Woodrow Wilson threatened newspapers that challenged his views and used the Espionage Act to jail opponents. To date, more people have been tried under the Espionage Act during Barack Obama's term in office than any other modern president since Wilson. Then, the fourth amendment protects against unreasonable search or seizure. The search warrant into Trump's home gave the FBI access to search anywhere, which explains why they went through former First Lady Melania Trump's closet, violating the Constitution. Afterward, Harriet Hageman calls in with an update on her campaign against Liz Cheney on the eve of the primary election. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

The media is on the side of tyranny and this program is on the side of liberty. Nobody cares what the cable news leftists and Liz Cheney think about the FBI raid on Trump's home. As you were told on this program Merrick Garland had to know about this raid and today, he confirmed that he did. The US Attorney in DC has nothing on Trump, so he is using a criminal statute and looking for evidence to fit the crime of his choosing. That's why they skipped the subpoena process and went straight for a search warrant when they knew Trump wasn't there, and they prevented his lawyers from observing while they went through the house including Melania Trump's closet. Double digit inflation all across every food category. Bread thirteen point seven percent up fruits and vegetables up nine point three percent. Beef and veal up three point four percent. And Biden's out there saying zero percent inflation. The zero percent inflation. It's outrageous. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
On Friday's Mark Levin Show, as mentioned on this program the FBI is looking for anything they can to hurt former President Trump. The latest information revealed in the now unsealed warrant indicates that the FBI is angling to go after Trump for violating the espionage act. The entire search is a pre-text using subterfuge because Trump gave the FBI access to all the subpoenaed boxes when they met with Trump's lawyers in June of 2022. These same boxes were seized in the raid. If the FBI really suspected secret documents regarding nuclear codes, they would have seized them back in June. So, what changed between June and August? Why was there a dire need now in August when they were just there? They could've gotten a judge to sign an order subpoenaing the boxes, but they chose to conduct a raid that included Melania Trump's wardrobe because they wanted access to everything they could see, not just what was included in the narrow scope of what they outlined in the warrant. It's unimaginable to think that we are putting a former President in this unprecedented position. Later, the espionage act was created to prosecute spies, not former U.S Presidents. US Attorney Graves and Deputy Attorney General Monaco are the two central figures in this expedition into former president Trump and they behave as if this is the United States of the Democrat Party instead of the USA. Afterward, Republicans must announce that they will defund and remove the 87,000 new IRS Auditors if and when they win the Presidency and a majority in Congress. Learn more about your ad choices. On Thursday's Mark Levin Show, the media is on the side of tyranny and this program is on the side of liberty. Then, former Attorney General Michael Mukasey suggests that AG Garland said that when possible, they use subpoenas. So, what then was the reason that made it impossible for the FBI to go this route? Could it be that the DOJ abused the warrant process to see if they could find evidence of another crime under the 'plain view doctrine? If so, it's a sleazy Stalinist approach to misuse the law to try and find a crime they can assign to Trump. The presumption of guilt instead of the presumption of innocence. Mind you, but for, Judicial Watch's legal filing resulting in the Judge's Order for the DOJ to explain why they took these extreme measures, Garland might still be silent on the issue. But make no mistake Garland's call for the warrant to be unsealed has only come after Judicial Watch made the same request to hold the government accountable. Later, what probable cause did the FBI have? Obama and Nixon have done far worse, and nobody kicked down their door in a raid. It seems the FBI is forgetting that we are a republic and as a society, we are unraveling because of the current president. Afterward, the ruling class is in full revolt because they're afraid of losing their power. Donald Trump took them on and won, now they're mad because he's a danger. This has taken them a hundred years and now they are at the precipice. Republicans need to get tough if they win a majority in the House and use their congressional power to push back on Biden's Mussolini-esque executive orders and to defund other bad policies like the 87,000 new IRS Agents, among others. Well, the Biden Administration is throwing a party and patting themselves on their backs. President Joe Biden himself told all of us there was no inflation in the month of July. Zero. Nada. Zilch. Zip. Nothing. Isn't that great? I'm sure everyone within the sound of my voice is overjoyed to see inflation is over and we are back to a booming, amazing economy! And I guess there is no longer a need for the Inflation Protection Act to be passed, right? Needless to say, no matter how much magic-thinking the White House like to employ, those of use here in the real world see exactly how bad it is. Yes, the Consumer Price Index fell from 9.1% for June to 8.5% for July. But, it is still at 8.5%! And the real reason for the drop has nothing to do with this Administration. Fuel demand continues to drop due to the price at the pump. How do we know that? Because the core CPI (which takes out food and fuel) is at 5.9%, which is exactly where it was last month. CNN is doing their best to help with the propaganda, putting out the following headline: “US inflation took a breather in July, thanks to the falling cost of food and gas…” Unfortunately, for those who took the time to read the WHOLE article, we come across this nugget, “However, food costs continue to jump sharply, increasing by 1.1% over the month and rising 10.9% on a year-over-year basis, the largest increase since May 1979.” Shifting to the FBI Raid of Mar-a-Lago, we have learned more and it is becoming more distressing by the day. You would think, to avoid any sense of wrongdoing, the FBI and the DOJ attorneys who raided the home of former president Donald Trump would bend over backwards to be transparent. But, in true totalitarian fashion, they demanded all security cameras be shut off, all staff to wait outside and then proceeded to go room to room, looking for anything and everything. According to sources, the warrant was under the Presidential Records Act, meaning they were looking for classified documents. Turns out that back in May and June of this year, the FBI wanted to see the documents, which has been boxed up and shipped to Mar-a-Lago by the General Services Administration (GSA). So, the FBI, already knew where the records were and had been through them before. Yet, for some reason, they needed over 9 hours of unsupervised access to the whole of Trump's estate, including a ransacking of Melania Trump's wardrobe. This has led to Trump and others to suggest the FBI may have used that time to plant evidence. In true irony, while the unhinged Leftists and sufferers of Trump Derangement Syndrome scoff and such a conspiracy, the retrial of the supposed assassination attempt on Gov. Whitmer (D-MI) opened today with this bit of testimony: “The FBI informant planted explosives material in the truck of the defendant so the FBI could confiscate the evidence upon arrest.” Nope, nothing to see here, folks. It all seems legit. What's interesting is the White House, according to Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, knew nothing. No briefing. No phone call. No heads-up. Nada. A major raid on a former president, the first in history since the Presidential Records Act was passed in 1978, and no one thought Joe Biden needed to know. Either this Administration is so dysfunctional, no one seems to care about communicating with the President, or the White House is lying to distance themselves. Either way, there is egg on someone's face in the Executive Branch and no amount of magic-thinking is going to make it disappear. Hour 2 - Happy Wednesday! Here's what Nick Reed covers this hour: FBI agents scoured Melania Trump's wardrobe during the raid at the Trump Mar-a-Lago home. Trump's lawyers were forbidden by the feds to shelter inside the cool lobby, or to observe the search in any way, but were left outside in the baking sun near a parking lot. The feds instructed Trump's representatives to switch off the security cameras but they refused. Nick plays audio from Trump's lawyer, Christina Bobb. Former CIA official Philip Mudd downplayed FBI agents finding classified documents in former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida during a raid on Monday. "It's common for government officials to bring classified documents home with them accidentally because files are often “overclassified,” Mudd, a former deputy director of the National Counterterrorism Center and the FBI's National Security Branch, said during a CNN appearance on Tuesday.

On June 25, the day after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, the White House advertised an online Health and Human Services flier containing a link to AbortionFinder.org, a network that connects women wanting abortions to local facilities that will perform them and provides information on the legality of abortion in their state. The website has a search engine to find abortionists based on the seeker’s location and age, including for minors “15 or younger.” AbortionFinder.org also includes a link to the If/When/How Judicial Bypass (JB) Helpline, which is designed to help minors bypass their parents or guardians to obtain an abortion. This Judicial Bypass system cuts 14-16-year-olds off from their support systems, isolating them and allowing them to kill their children in utero and put their bodies through the trauma of abortion with no familial protection. There’s a picture in the article, and you can find the article in our show notes by the way… Despite studies showing that women who go through abortions suffer increased mental health issues than women who decide to give birth to their children, Biden and his administration are capitalizing on the outrage sparked by the overturning of Roe to target American youth. After the Dobbs decision, the Department of Health and Human Services immediately published a website, “ReproductiveRights.gov,” for the express purpose of providing “accurate and up-to-date information about access to and coverage of reproductive health care and resources.” This page — which is itself a misnomer since abortion is neither health care nor a right — though branding itself as full-range coverage of the choices available to women, made no reference at all to a woman’s choice to keep her baby and instead pandered almost entirely to abortion-related services. The website also linked to AbortionFinder.org, once again promoting the bypass of parental consent for minors to obtain abortions. https://thepostmillennial.com/breaking-supreme-court-rules-against-epas-authority-to-limit-emissions-by-remaking-energy-sector?utm_campaign=64487 Supreme Court rules against EPA's authority to limit emissions by remaking energy sector The Supreme Court on Thursday issued a ruling in the case of West Virginia v. Environmental Protection Agency. The 6-3 ruling sides with West Virginia, which sought to limit the Clean Air Act. At issue were the EPA's plans to use regulation to "reduce carbon pollution mostly by moving production to cleaner sources." Once the EPA determined this course of action, they began to limit allowable emissions from fossil fuel production. They enacted goals that they viewed as a "'reasonable' amount of shift which it based on modeling how much more electricity both natural gas and renewable sources could supply without causing undue cost increases or reducing the overall power supply." Chief Justice Roberts wrote in his opinion: "Since passage of the Act 50 years ago, EPA has exercised this authority by setting performance standards based on measures that would reduce pollution by causing plants to operate more cleanly. In 2015, however, EPA issued a new rule concluding that the 'best system of emission reduction' for existing coal-fired power plants included a requirement that such facilities reduce their own production of electricity, or subsidize increased generation by natural gas, wind, or solar sources." This meant that the EPA was effectively regulating coal businesses to wind down toward the end goal of no longer being in the business of providing energy. Roberts asked the question as to "whether this broader conception of EPA’s authority is within the power granted to it by the Clean Air Act." The opinion states that the EPA does not have this broad authority under the Clean Air Act, and that this power has not been bestowed by Congress. Hey, are you looking to make a move? A recent poll showed about 45% would vote for Trump compared to 36% who leaned toward DeSantis, the closest any challenger has ever gotten to the former president in a GOP primary poll, with a difference of only 9 points. Now it’s time for the topic that I love… sports! We’ve got a fair bit to cover in the world of sports, so let’s get to it: https://www.outkick.com/australian-tennis-star-nick-kyrgios-spits-at-fan-in-wimbledon-calls-lineswoman-a-snitch/ Wimbledon is under way currently, and Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios, has caught some attention: https://twitter.com/i/status/1541833358254243841 - Play Video Facing off against Britain’s Paul Jubb, the 27-year-old Kyrgios went through a gauntlet of emotion in the close win (6-3, 1-6, 5-7, 7-6 , 5-7). Kyrgios’ highlights on the day included calling a line judge a “snitch,” sending a tennis ball into orbit, requesting that a fan get escorted out of The Championships and spitting in the direction of the heckling fan after the match. The tennis star has long been known for his on-court antics and contentious persona. Kyrgios has received $113,000 in fines in ONE tournament, at the Southern Open in Cincinnati in the past. The more ya know… In other sports news, Kevin Durant has reportedly requested a trade from the Brooklyn Nets, this after his teammate and fellow star, Kyrie Irving, just signed an extension with the club. Whoops! The Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat are among the teams Durant has on his wish list for a potential trade, sources told Wojnarowski. However, the Nets are not tied to honoring any of Durant's preferred destinations and plan to make a deal that allows them the greatest return of assets, sources told Wojnarowski. There’s also rumor that Kyrie Irving wants to try and move with KD to his new team. Irving eventually opted into the final year of his contract after being unable to find a suitable sign-and-trade for the Nets to make from his preferred list of destinations -- one that included the Los Angeles Lakers, LA Clippers, New York Knicks, Heat, Dallas Mavericks and Philadelphia 76ers. Of those teams, however, only the Lakers were interested in giving Irving a max contract, sources told Wojnarowski -- and they didn't have any package to offer the Nets that was appealing enough to get a sign-and-trade deal done. Durant averaged 29.9 points, 7.4 rebounds and 6.4 assists this season, but he saw action in just 55 games during the regular season as he recovered from an MCL injury. And finally: USC, UCLA planning move from Pac-12 to Big Ten as early as 2024, sources say https://www.espn.com/college-sports/story/_/id/34173688/source-usc-ucla-considering-move-pac-12-big-ten USC and UCLA, two of the Pac-12's flagship programs, are planning to leave the conference for the Big Ten as early as 2024, and a move is considered imminent, sources confirmed to ESPN on Thursday. There is still a formal notification process, as the two schools have to let the Pac-12 know their intentions to leave. USC and UCLA also have to formally apply to the Big Ten. According to a source, that process is underway. Big Ten presidents and chancellors will meet to vote on the addition of USC & UCLA, sources told ESPN. Multiple sources told ESPN on Thursday that the move is expected to happen. A source called the next steps "formalities.” The reason this move would be less disruptive than potential moves in the ACC is that USC and UCLA have a grant of rights tied to the current Pac-12 television contract, which expires after the 2023 football season and 2023-24 school year. That's why the expectation is that both schools can go to the league for the 2024-25 season and not suffer any financial penalty. Pac-12 officials had been nudging both Los Angeles schools for years to extend the grant of rights. The fact that they didn't hinted that they had greater ambition. "We just got Sooner'd and Horn'd," a high-ranking university official at one of the Pac-12 schools told ESPN, referring to the decision made last year by Texas and Oklahoma to leave the Big 12 conference for the SEC. College sports has officially turned into a farm league for the NBA & NFL… That’s gunna do it for this CrossPolitic Daily News Brief. If you liked the show, hit that share button for me will ya?
