It's the last normal podcast of the year and it's a pretty good one too!Four new features and a load of your questions - it's the gift that keeps on giving.Remember to check out our website for videos and articles here: www.bit-socket.comYou can support our content and get extra content here: www.patreon.com/BitSocket
It's Paul and Al's tenth anniversary episode, where they remember Anthea Bell, laugh for quite a long time about Writer X and the "revelation" of his identity, and chat briefly about Vault Comics' new YA line (in particular, about Paul Tobin and Colleen Coover's Wrassle Castle), before going into extended examinations/rambles/digressions about The Green Lantern and Lost Light, and once again raid the playbook of excellent videogame podcast Bitsocket as they play Is It Canon?. They've also got messages from some of their friends in the comics podcasting world, and the audio from the SILENCE! To Astonish panel which took place at Thought Bubble in September, featuring Gary Lactus and the Beast Must Die of SILENCE! and an all-star line-up of guests (John McCrea, Matthew Rosenberg, Sam Humphries and Babs Tarr).
Holly and Kate have SPECIAL GUESTS this week: it's the lovely boys from Bitsocket! When we started this podcast, they were really nice to us. After this episode, they might not be any more. Want to know why? Have a listen! Oh and we should probably mention that Bitsocket are AWARD-WINNING PODCASTERS NOW (GMAs, 2015, about 5 hours after we recorded) so we're totally gonna ride off the back of that one. (the audio quality is a bit weird on this one - apologies for all the microphone-bumping and echoeyness. We're noobs, you see, and we're working on it. One day we'll be able to record in a soundproof studio in the basement of our LA mansion. Be patient.) See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
HELLO. Here is an episode in which I only appear briefly at the start and Andi takes the reins. Why? Because it's a bloody Zelda special and I'm ill-equipped to contribute meaningfully to such a thing. By which I mean I didn't really get on withOcarina of Time and there's no way you'll catch me actively defending that opinion in public.I'll tell you WHAT, though - Ross Foubister and the BitSocket lads do a fine a job instead. Between the lot of them, they spend over two hours discussing every Zelda game and attempt to list them all in order of quality.Oh, there were some recording issues with this episode, because apparely Joe and Scott are CURSED, so Scott is a bit quiet. Soz m8.If you're some sort of dick with no interest in Zelda, chill: we've got another episode in the pipeline.Cheers!
HEYA sorry this one's a bit late. Although, for once, it's not entirely my fault. Listen to the start of the episode for the full explanation. This episode, we're joined by Solid Craig and J-Banger of BitSocket fame. We've been meaning to get them on for ages, but they're always working or fucking off to New York or something. We think they were worth the wait though, and we hope that you agree or else this whole thing has been a terrible waste of time.I spent so long editing this that I can't even remember what games we talked about, although there is definitely a bit about Project X Zone on the 3DS, and Andi slags off BioShock Infinite like some smug backlashing prick.OH, and because some of you have been regularly complaining about it since we first started the show, all episodes from now on will be available in MP3 format like a fucking normal podcast. YEAH!!
