This time out Andy and Mike take part in this year's JLMay crossover, which is all about the 2007 BRAVE AND THE BOLD series. The guys are kicking this event off by talking about BRAVE AND THE BOLD #1, which featured a team-up between Batman and Green Lantern. For grins, they also look at BRAVE AND THE BOLD #134 from the original run of the series which was definitely a comic book story that took place over 17 pages. Then, for some reason, they talk about the MCU. It's a fun episode and be sure to check the show notes at the website for links to the other podcasts that are part of JLMay 2023!

We bring the 2nd Unit back to dip our toes into Development Hell once again...kind of! As a pseudo-sequel of our Superman Lives episodes, we dig into the history of what was supposed to be Justice League: Mortal, the short-lived but fascinating first attempt at the superhero team-up. Directed by George Miller, written by Kieran and Michelle Mulroney, and starring a surprisingly young cast including Armie Hammer, Common, and Jay Baruchel, this goofy comic-book-accurate project met insurmountable obstacles on the way to production. We break down the full cast and story of this project (thanks in large part to cast interviews, articles from Collider, and the great work of the Canceled Movie Report podcast), go over a brief history of the Justice League, and explore the biggest reasons for this film's collapse: the Australian government and the 2007-2008 Writers' Guild of America strike. We marvel at the gambit of casting such young actors for such iconic adult roles, give a brief lesson on rabies symptoms, hypothesize future advancements in villainous tracking technology, have a fun discussion on currency conversion rates and tax credits, subject you to some truly awful Batman voices, remind you that Jack is still trying to track down a VHS copy of Nukie to torture Joe with, bring awareness to the pitfalls of bad acronyms/initialisms, Jack plugs his latest creative project, and we ask a question we've been wondering for some time: do the members of the Justice League all share a tailor? Suit up, settle into the Brother Eye console, and enjoy the show. Jesus used parables and familiar images to teach people about God “in plain English.” That's why, every once in a while, we break out some old comic books and talk about how they connect to the Bible. #MoSuperhero Parable = a story with a spiritual point

This episode is as big as Lex Luthor's ego! We finally cover the legendary Elseworlds story Kingdom Come that sees DC Comics' holy trinity of Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman battling a new generation of meta humans, aging super villians, the United Nations and each other in Alex Ross and Mark Waid's epic tale of visions and visionaries. We talk through all four parts with special guest and Superman super fan Elliot from ElliotComicArt. Ep. 92 What if we covered Elseworlds legendary tale KINGDOM COME from DC Comics? With Special Guest Elliot of ElliotComicArtEarth-22 as seen in Kingdom Come #1-4On this jumbo size Dear Watchers we are covering one of the most iconic of all Elseworlds tales, Kingdom Come from writer/artist Alex Ross and writer Mark Waid. On this alternate Earth, a new generation of so-called heroes battle each other and the full villains that are left as the original JLA retreat into their later years. This all changes when a long absent Superman returns to reshape the planet but is he doing it for the better? The allstar comic cast also includes Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Lex Luthor, Captain Marvel, Green Arrow, Black Canary, The Spectre, The Sandman, Hawkman, Aquaman, Magog (in his debut) and so many others. We hear first-time reader Rob's reactions along with long time fan Guido as they cover all four parts of this epic story while also extensively covering the background behind this story and the histories of its two primary creators. We also speculate when we could see a Kingdom Come live-action or animated version in the future DCU. Hey Saturday Morning! Put on your PJ's, pour a bowl of cereal, and join me, and returning special guest host Kirt Bishop, for a stroll down memory lane on today's Saturday Morning Sniktoons! On our fifty second episode we talk about Kirt's recent reading of Wolverine: First Class, Enemy of the State and the status of the Snyderverse. After that we draft Wolverine characters into the various Lantern Corps from DC Comics' Green Lantern series! Afterwards we continue our chronicle of X-Men The Animated Series picking up with the eighth episode of the fourth season: Nightcrawler. This episode is pretty near and dear to my hear for its absolute nailing of Nightcrawler and its even more earnest depiction of his faith, and you can tell that it meant a lot to Kirt as well. So far we've seen tons of great episodes, but this one might be single favorite episode of this entire series. If you like the show and want to continue the conversation you can reach out to me via email at Talksnikt@gmail.com or you can join the Talkin Snikt discord here: https://discord.gg/buSENWct. It's a great little community of Wolverine and The X-Men fans! Until next time, Bub!

In this episode of our "Crisis On Infinite Films" series, we take a look at the comic book inspired film, Green Lantern (2011) In a mysterious universe, the Green Lantern Corps, an elite defense force of peace and justice have existed for centuries. Reckless test pilot Hal Jordan acquires superhuman powers when he is chosen by the Ring, the willpower-fed source of power. Reluctantly at first, he takes on the challenge after the death of Abin Sur, the finest Green Lantern. Putting his self-doubts aside, and spurred on by his sense of duty and love for his beautiful, intellectually equal, colleague, Carol Ferris, he is soon called to defend mankind from Parallax, a powerful, evil being who feeds on fear. Hal Jordan is the universe's last chance, as many Green Lanterns have been killed and the Corps is weakened, and he might just be the right Green Lantern for the duty of keeping the world safe from harm.
