TJ Storm is an American actor, martial artist, and motion capture performer known for his dynamic presence on-screen and behind the scenes in major film productions. Born Juan Ricardo Ojeda in Indiana and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Storm studied martial arts, dance, and gymnastics, which would later define his career. He is widely recognized for his motion capture performances, portraying iconic characters like Godzilla in Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) and Godzilla vs. Kong (2021), as well as roles in the Avatar franchise and numerous video games, including the Resident Evil and Devil May Cry series. In addition to his motion capture work, Storm has appeared in live-action roles in films like Punisher: War Zone, Green Lantern, and The Martial Arts Kid. A respected martial artist, he holds black belts in multiple disciplines, including Arashi-Ryu Karate, Taekwondo, and Jujitsu. Storm is also a sought-after motion capture coach and stunt coordinator, contributing his expertise to help shape action scenes for film, television, and games. His work is celebrated for blending physical power with emotional depth, making him one of the top performers in the specialized world of performance capture. DC has launched the Absolute Universe to give us a grittier version of our heroes with much darker origin stories. We look at each title available and share our thoughts about how it feels so far. Plus news of upcoming films that could make a big impact soon. Jay and Josh are definitely not going to make another Absolute pun on Superhero Suite.

This week, Vince is in the crypt, so Brian and Zach dig into the second batch of Absolute titles.

Jace and Rocky break down a big week of DC Comics for April 23, 2025. We get the second chapter of Hush 2, Power Girl comes to an end and a new arc starts for The Flash. We have two wildly different Green Lantern stories with one full of surprises and action packed and the other trying to find it's footing. Green Arrow continues to be an excellent mix of crime noir and relevant social issues which calls back to a classic era for the Emerald Archer. Metamorpho is wildly fun and engaging with Peacemaker and Harley Quinn close behind. Absolute Wonder Woman and Absolute Martian Manhunter represent versions of the characters that are closest and furthest away from their main universe counterparts respectively, but both are a joy to experince both visually and narritively. Finally we have two Superman titles that showcase the Man of Steel in two very different stories that are both excellent. One feels like it harkens back to the classic stories of yesteryear and the other is very contemporary, but feels like it will be the classic of tomorrow.
