There’s a monster on the loose, and it’s Juuban’s misappropriation of community funds! Also the pacing! Usagi never learns to stitch the great parts of this episode together, but at least Nephrite wraps himself in silk. In the name of the moon, we’ll talk at you! Enjoy what we do? Tip us at Ko-Fi!
This episode covers acts 33 & 34 of Sailor Moon Crystal, acts 33 & 34 of the manga and episodes 111, 123, and 124 of the 90s anime (yes, those first two are repeats). We are, shockingly, not surprised at all that a hospital in the Juuban district would let you walk out carrying the corpse of a child, delve deep into some Silver Millennium fan theories, and discover that Sailor Moon is probably the primary inspiration for every piece of pseudo-magical fiction that came after it. twitter: @LnJPod, Facebook: Love and Justice, email: loveandjusticepod@gmail.com
Returning guest star champion Amanda Miller (@amanda_celine) joins us to discuss Act 31 of Crystal, Act 31 of the manga, and Episode 121 of the 90s anime. While both stories are about Tellu and plants, only Crystal and the manga are about Sailor Jupiter at all. As in, she doesn't even appear in the 90s anime, despite the fact the original story in the manga was kind of about her. We're thankful to see Jupiter restored to her full glory in Crystal and even more thankful to discover that Crystal/manga Usagi doesn't allow her seemingly six year old daughter to wander around the streets of Juuban alone at night. twitter: @LnJPod, Facebook: Love and Justice, email: loveandjusticepod@gmail.com
Trouble is brewing in Juuban district listeners, and not just because every civilian has crippling face blindness and amnesia. This episode features our Senshi in the most unlikely situation imaginable: the library. Hilarity and book castles ensue. On this episode we cover episode 7 of Sailor Moon Crystal, act 7 of the manga, episode 24 of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon and episode 33 of the 90s anime. We discuss the confusing Japanese story device of marrying foster siblings off to one another, and are, once again, bewildered by 90s anime characters' inability to recognize bad guys.Connect with us!!
