Welcome to Part 2 of the two-part Special Episode introducing my new release, “MA PETITE FLEUR STRING QUARTET”. This work transforms my jazz ballad into a lush classical string quartet piece. The work has been praised by a host of Classical Music Stars, all of whom are listed below. In Part 1 yesterday we listened to this new work. In Part 2 today we're going to introduce the incredible musicians who brought this piece to life.David Shenton is the genius arranger behind this work. David is an English pianist, violinist, composer and arranger. He started playing the violin at age 7 and he's composed hundreds of works from small piano pieces to full-length operas. Violinist Katie Thomas is a soloist, chamber musician, studio violinist and concert-mistress. She's played on Grammy winning albums and also recorded with artists like Rosanne Cash, The O'Jays, Jimmy Fallon and the animation series “Dragons”. Violinist Erica Dicker works in a wide variety of musical settings in both notated and improvised music. She is a member of the electro-acoustic trio Vaster Than Empires. She is also a founding member of the horn-trio Kylwyria. And she's known for her work with composer and multi-instrumentalist Anthony Braxton.J.J. Johnson has been the violist at Radio City Music Hall. His Broadway musical experience has included On The Town, Cats, Fiddler On The Roof, An American In Paris, Wicked, My Fair Lady, and Sunset Boulevard. He has also appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman. Dave Eggar is a Rock Star cellist who recently was a guest on the podcast. He's a 5x Grammy nominee. He's worked with Paul Simon, John Legend, Norah Jones, Foreigner, Josh Groban and Train. Laurana, without her consent, is made the Commander of the Knights of Solamnia. Despite her misgivings she accepts the assignment. As part of accepting her new responsibilities, and despite what her heart may want, she also lets go of her love for Tanis. She does not have the time and energy to pursue it and she believes he is lost to the Darkness.  Tas and Flint inspect the fortifications, worry about Laurana, and reveal their thoughts about Kitiara now that they know she is a Dragon Highlord.  The good dragons finally arrive! Gilthanas & Silvara come with them. We learn from them why the metallic dragons have not made themselves before now: the twisted machinations of Takhisis! But through the sacrifice of Gilthanas and Silvara they've finally come out of hiding to help. Gilthanas also knows about Tanis' indiscretions now and shares it with Laurana. Shortly thereafter, a Niedar dwarf named Francis offers to buy the bracelet and the heroes become very suspicious, interrogating and taunting him. He ends up leaving and approaches Gunner offering to buy it one last time, and when rejected, he moves on. Later that day a mysterious fire is started as Boros quickly puts it out. The heroes begin to grow suspicious, as if there is a connection between the dwarf, the cultists and the fire. The next morning Gunner discovers his bracelet missing, and they immediately grow suspicious that it must be the dwarf. They make a plan to confront him, but instead, Li'High reveals she took one of the parcels that fell out of the crashed caravan a week back and opening it reveals a necklace. They offer it to the dwarf, but he is not trusting of the heroes after the way they treated him, and increasingly as they continue to pester him. Li'High leaves into the wilderness by herself and renounces her god Habbakuk, desiring to worship Chemosh, but not knowing how to make the connection with the new god while she is on the road, and inadvertently is connected by Morgion. She rebukes him, and they all continue to a roadhouse where they eat. Some local adventurers are hired to guard their old wagon in the caravan. They search some of the wagons and mark the cultist wagons for future reference, then they continue on for a few days ending up in a brutally cold rainstorm. They arrive at another road house only to be turned away, and the hired adventurers refuse to help. Li'High breaks into the upper level and is contacted by Morgion again, and this time accepts. He creates a half-cask of diseased ale which is unable to be refused. Upon touching it, she contracts the fatal disease but is protected as an agent of Morgion. She murders the people in the inn, then sets it on fire. While it’s burning she steals food from the inn, tossing it to Boros who contracts the same disease and dies with his friends watching, too afraid to approach and help him, believing they were helpless.
