Meet the newest member of our elder law team, attorney Josh Hunter—a history major turned lawyer who pairs environmental policy training with a calm, strategic approach to complex family needs. We walk through the realities of apprenticeship in a focused practice: why mastering estate planning, long-term care benefits, probate, trust administration, and litigation takes more than textbooks, and how mentorship builds judgment you can trust when decisions affect generations.Josh shares how law school flipped on the lights for him, revealing how constitutional principles and precedent actually operate in daily life. He then took a deeper dive into environmental law and policy, a choice rooted in his love for the outdoors and a commitment to stewardship. That same respect for systems shows up in his legal work—translating rules into practical, compassionate solutions for older adults and their families.Outside the office, Josh recharges with daily hikes and powerlifting, a routine that keeps stress low and focus high, especially after dense research days. He's also a strategy gamer—Dungeons & Dragons, Magic: The Gathering, and Pokémon—where creativity thrives inside strict rule sets. That habit maps directly onto elder law: analyze the rules, design the path, and adjust with care and precision. As Josh steps into our Hendersonville office, he's eager to learn the courthouse rhythms, collaborate with our experienced team, and serve a vibrant retirement community with clarity and heart. If you value thoughtful counsel that blends empathy with disciplined problem solving, you'll enjoy getting to know Josh. Episode 615 - Trevor Jones - The Fantasy World of Kinthur - Created for my Dungeons and Dragons Games Welcome, TravelerTo the Official Home of the World of KinthurI'm glad you've found your way here—whether by chance, curiosity, or the call of adventure. I'm Trevor Jones, fantasy author and world builder, and this is the heart of Kinthur: a realm of ancient magic, fallen kingdoms, and stories forged in fire and blood.Inspired by the storytelling depths of tabletop role-playing games, Kinthur is a sprawling fantasy world where legends walk, magic is alive, and every soul carries a choice between light and shadow.Author: Trevor JonesStarting with a typewriter at 10 and inspired by the fantasy books and movies, Trevor thought writing was just a way to entertain himself. Little did he know it would lead to becoming a DM in his local Dungeons & Dragons group.Since the 90s, Trevor has expanded his fantasy world with hundreds of hours of game time, that led to a plethora of stories and tales. When his wife got him an editor for his birthday, publishing became a real possibility and since 2019, Kinthur has been shared with the world.https://kinthur.com/Support the show___https://livingthenextchapter.com/podcast produced by: https://truemediasolutions.ca/Coffee Refills are always appreciated, refill Dave's cup here, and thanks!https://buymeacoffee.com/truemediaca

You're listening to Bardtenders! In this episode of "The Mixing Glass", Lenny Gotter discusses his career as an entrepreneur. From opening a craft distillery, to founding 1985 Games, to launching successful Kickstarter projects - Lenny is a wealth of knowledge for anyone looking to take the next steps in their career. We also take a deeper look into Obojima: Tales from the Tall Grass. Obojima: Tales from the Tall Grass is the first campaign setting to come from 1985 Games. While it's written to work with 5th edition Dungeons & Dragons, a primarily combat focused RPG system, it stands out as being uniquely the contrary. Obojima is what we've coined as “leisure fantasy,” meaning that it's designed to be a slice of life more than the kind of campaign where you wage a bloody war across the realms to punch god.  The island of Obojima is a whimsical place inspired by classic anime and adventure video games. It's an idyllic land filled with playful spirits, memorable characters, and vibrant locations. This lo-fi campaign emboldens adventures to be creative, go at their own pace, and take it easy. Parties are encouraged to get to know NPCs, participate in town activities, learn, grow, and explore. One of the biggest draws of Obojima is the brand-new, one-of-a-kind potion brewing system. Featuring over 60 ingredients that can be found throughout the island and can be used to brew 180 unique potions. The potions can be used as utility, combat enhancers, or can even cause hilarious and whimsical effects. The whole in-depth system is fun, easy to learn, and comes with delightful descriptions, location info, and difficulties of procuring for every ingredient and brewable potion. Some ingredients can be a whole adventure in and of themselves to get a hold of! The Obojima potion brewing system can also be seamlessly added to any 5th edition campaign to make more fun for alchemists, herbalists, and brewmasters in the party.Obojima: Tales from the Tall Grass is currently available in hardcover and PDF form on their website. It's also available in digital format on DNDBeyond and Alchemy. ------------Lenny Gotter has been a serial entrepreneur for over 25 years. One of the highlights includes opening the first craft distillery to go public in 2014. Lenny Gotter is also the founder 1985 Games and founded the company in 2019. Under his leadership as CEO, the company has consistently executed a series of successful product launches on Kickstarter, as well as building a fulfillment and distribution network in the US and abroad. Lenny has been an avid gamer since 1985 and he loves to run and play role-playing games. ----------Don't miss out on any of the action!  Head to www.bardtender.com to stay up to date with all of the Bardtender content, find resources for mental and physical well-being, get access to education materials, and check out what all of our bards are up to! Support the show

This episode examines how PerfectTed has introduced ceremonial-grade matcha to the mainstream UK market, covering product origins, retail strategy, lessons from Dragon's Den, and building a challenger brand in the FMCG sector. The conversation touches on the history of matcha, the reality of category management, and making niche products accessible to a wide consumer audience. PerfectTed (www.perfectted.com) Sold in major retailers including Tesco, Sainsbury's, Holland & Barrett, Planet Organic, and Ocado. Stocked nationally in coffee chains: Joe & the Juice, Black Sheep Coffee, and Café Nero. Product range covers organic, ceremonial-grade matcha powders and sparkling matcha energy drinks (with three flavours, including Great Taste award winner). Sourced from single-origin growers in Japan, using young, shade-grown leaves. Every batch is handpicked, stone-ground, vegan, gluten-free, organic, and non-GMO, with 68mg caffeine per serving. The brand was featured on Dragon's Den in 2022, receiving investment offers from all five Dragons and accepting Steven Bartlett's offer. Full episode on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wpwc1GqehZU) and Stephen Bartlett's follow up video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCcDNArBASw). Co-founder Marisa brought her personal focus on ADHD and anxiety to the energy drink formula, aiming for clean energy without jitters or crashes. "Ceremonial grade is the first flush—the youngest leaves. You get that vibrant green and a sweet umami flavour rather than a bitter, grassy taste." "You always have to prioritize quality. We focus on 100% pure ceremonial-grade matcha because if you have a bad experience, you won't come back." "Dragon's Den was 90 minutes of filming that became 14 minutes of air time. We received all five investor offers and accepted Steven Bartlett's investment." "You won't be liked by everyone. What makes you special is your niche."
