He rebuilt his relationship with his mother and family, and reintegrated back into the world, but cults similar to this one exist to this day. As a teenager who struggled with a tumultuous household and some substance use, Nick's parents sent him to a Residential Treatment Center run by Virgil Miller Newton. This center, like all of Newton's centers, ended up being an abusive cult that tortured and manipulated teenagers while lying to their parents about helping them. And that's just the beginning.
